From Here to Ecstasy

Chapter 9 - Slut-ville

Recap:

“Or you can come to me and I will let Alpha Griffith know, if that’s okay with you Alpha,” Micah added as he looked at me to make sure it was okay.

I nodded my head. “Or Beta Micah. If you don’t want to talk to us you can go to my sister's. They are the Beta females and will help you too. They won’t stand for anyone treating you bad, not at all.”

Winter's POV

We walked back into the packhouse, going our separate ways. I walked upstairs to our room, Autumn and Micah following me. I wanted to find out why Micah didn’t want to be Alpha, but I had a way to ask that was a little more gentle than Autumn.

I shut the bedroom door behind us and walked to Micah, kneeling at his feet. I held his hands and smiled at him, hoping he knew I wasn’t going to try and order him. I could order him easily, but I didn’t want him to get mad at me.

I looked into his eyes. “I know you don’t want to answer our question. I know you fear us hating you. There’s no way I could hate you. I love you already. I’m sure my sister feels the same way, but she will say the words when she feels what I do. Why aren’t you the Alpha of this pack? I’m not asking because I want to be the Luna.”

Micah took a huge breath and pulled me to him, grabbing Autumn in our hug, too. “My brother was the Alpha here. Alpha Erol was my brother and he took the Alpha title from me. Then my other brother - the one who was killed because he was stupid and his soul was black. I couldn’t beat them in a fight for the title and felt as if I didn’t deserve it. I like being the Beta and the Gamma. Do you two mind if I stay as the Beta?”

I looked at Autumn and saw her smiling. “I don’t think it will be a problem, Micah. We only care what you want. We don’t want you for your title. We want our mate anyway we can have him. I’m not sure that made sense-”

“-you make perfect sense, Haley. Thank the Goddess for mates who don’t care for titles. I’m so thankful for you two,” Micha told us as he hugged the shit out of us.

“Can’t. Breath,” I gasped out as I tried to take in some air.

I heard a knock on the door and I went and answered it. Griffith was standing at the door, looking into the room. “I hope I’m not interrupting anything. I need Micah for a little bit. Some of the women wanted to know if you would go shopping with them.”

The women stepped out from behind Griffith. One of them stepped forward with her eyes downcast. “Will you go shopping with us? We want to go but we’re scared to be alone out of the packhouse.”

“No problem,” Winter and I answered, knowing these women were not allowed out of the packhouse for anything.

“But, please don’t look at the floor. We won’t get mad if you look us in the eyes. We’re not those kinds of people,” I explained as I lifted her head with one finger.

She smiled at me. “Thank Goddess you’re not like those bitches the Alpha had around him. We would get beat if we looked at her face. We were not worthy to talk unless we were asked a question.”

“The bitch you’re talking about is dead. She was dead before we got here. She tried to attack our mom. I wouldn’t wish the kind of death she suffered. My mom hit her with a lightning bolt for her part in the battle.” I chuckled as the women shuddered. “Don’t worry, our mom is the coolest person to be around. She doesn’t care for titles either. She’s forever trying to get everyone to stop bowing to her. They think it necessary because she’s the Moon Goddess’ daughter-”

“What?” The women asked loudly.

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

“Well, shit! I wasn’t going to say anything, but I had to open my big mouth. My grandma is the Moon Goddess.” They gasped. “But, I don’t want anyone bowing to me. I’m sure Kaley feels the same way. We are not better than you. We don’t even think about being the Goddess’s granddaughter and neither does our brothers.”

“O-okay, are you two ready to go?” The woman, Josey, asked.

I looked at Kaley and we nodded yes, but not before we kissed our mate and told him bye. He made sure to tell us to be careful and to call him if anything happens. I wanted to laugh but I knew he was making sure we knew we could count on him. We waved to our brother and our mate and walked out of our door, bumping into another woman whose body was barely covered.

Seriously?

I was in slut-ville.

“Watch where you’re going, bitch!” She yelled as she looked me up and down.

I noticed some of the women were backing up. I shook my head and looked at the slut. “Well, excuse me.” I looked at her making a fist, getting ready to hit me. I wasn’t expecting her to spit on me.

Griffith, Micah, Autumn, and the women gasped. I took my hands and ran them close to my face, magically cleaning myself off. I stared at her in the eyes, letting out a little growl.

Easy, Winter. You don’t want to kill her in anger. Rough her up, yes. She needs to know she can’t treat anyone like she has been doing,” Love, my peacekeeping wolf, told me as she helped me calm down.

I felt her move as she tried to slap me. I grabbed her hand and broke every bone in her wrist and hand. She screamed and started crying. “You are not to touch anybody. If I hear you have raised your hand to anyone or spit on anyone I will make an example out of you. Are we clear?” I asked as I looked her straight in the face.

She nodded her head and looked at Micah. “Baby, are you going to let her talk to me this way?”
