From Here to Ecstasy

Chapter 84 - Pop-Sickly?

Recap

Sony started laughing. “I know what you mean. I’ve grown up fast, but don’t worry, I thought as if I was an old man. But, Windy? It’s a lot freaky seeing her as an adult.

I saw visitors enter Sonny’s room. “I heard that and so did the eavesdroppers listening at the door,” I sarcastically commented as I grabbed three vampyres and shoved them in the room.

Windy’s POV

What was up with idiots showing up in Sonny’s room? I had a feeling he was feeling out the supernatural community. He wanted to see who was going to cause problems. He had to be thinking this or he would have spelled his room from anyone teleporting in.

I listened to the thought of the woman. Her thoughts were loud. She was upset but her brain wasn’t making much sense to me. It was as if someone had scrambled her brains. I needed to check where she was spelled. I found her spell was in the primary motor cortex or her frontal lobe. But, when I checked the other two vampyres’ brains there wasn’t really a spell there. Oh, they were spelled lightly but in their temporal lobe, an area of the brain used the least. No wonder they didn’t seem spelled.

Did you catch where the spell was for these men, Windy?”

Yeah. They are not spelled, not really,” I told him as I caught movement from Jasper.

I smelt their weapons as soon as they moved. It was as if they had something blocking the smell or it could have been their bad breath. They smelt like garlic, onions, and moldy cheese. It almost had me puking up my toes. They were rancid smelling and now I knew they had rolled around in garbage to cover the scent of their weapons they were hiding. I had a plan of action.

I’ll help too. Remember what your grandmother said about me being sneaky? Well, she’s right,” my wolf, Star, reminded me as she snickered in the back of my mind.

I walked closer to one of the stinky men, holding my breath as I went. I reached forward to both of his pockets and pulled the two blades up, showing myself to Sonny and Maximus as I smiled triumphantly. I moved to the next guy and almost growled. It was so close I didn’t know how he couldn’t smell me.

Oh, right. They stunk.

I reached into the guy’s pocket and found the next weapon. I decided not to show Sonny the new weapon instead, I stuffed both weapons and the towel I had against his back as Maximus and Sonny chuckled. I didn’t want the silver to burn his back. I made sure to spell him more. I didn’t want him to weaken because of the silver. I should have known better than to question his decisions. He was spelled out the wazoo.

Maximus was here?

I’m okay, Windy, but thank you,” Sonny commented through our mind-link. I was happy he wasn’t mad at me. I heard Sonny ask the two idiots about something and Jasper roaring out an answer. I needed to tune back in but stay invisible. I didn’t know what they were going to do next.

“You mean you don’t need the weapons?” I watched as Sonny pulled out the two blades Jasper had in his pockets and reached in for the other weapon. “Or this one, Edgar?” Sonny growled loudly, scaring the two idiots in front of me. “How dare you bring this weapon. It was forbidden to have it, much less use it on a werewolf.”

I felt Jasper move up a step, but he froze with one leg up and his arm back. “Didn’t get far did you?”

I didn’t do it, you did,” I told me before he could ask.

I had enough of these two stinky men. They made my nose feel stuffed up and my eyes watered. I stepped back a step, knowing they couldn’t get close to Sonny. Hell, I could see how hard Edgar was trying not to shake. He wasn't doing too well, but he was still defiant. Defiantly stupid. And, a stupid wolf or vampyre is a dead wolf or vampyre. He definitely smelled as if he were a dead man walking.

I wasn’t sure what Sonny was going to do next. I decided to show myself. I coughed, startling Edgar. I wanted to laugh at the look on his face. He had no idea I was behind them. You could read everything on his face as if his face was an open book. I growled at him. He started shaking more than he did with Sonny.

I raised a brow at my brother, not knowing what to think. Surely he would have been afraid of my brother. It didn’t make sense to me until I read the idiot's mind. He thought I was my mother and he was truly frightened of her. I called my mother to the room, hiding her behind my veil of invisibility.

The idiot there,” I pointed at Edgar. “He thinks I am you. Do you want to freak him out?”

Of course,” was my mom’s reply.

My mom teleported to me as I covered her in my veil of invisibility. We walked in front of Edgar, staying invisible. When I showed my mom and me, I thought the stinky, stupid man would pass out. He would look at my mom and then me. His mouth was hanging open. He was barely breathing. His shaking got worse when he realized we had been invisible in front of him and didn’t know how long we had been there. Mind reading was a hoot at times. Granted; not all the time.

All of us watched as the man’s eyes rolled back in his head as he fell backward, hitting his head when he fell. I was surprised his head didn’t explode. It was the loudest sound in the room, well, until my mom and I started laughing.

Sonny gaped at us, rolling his eyes. He either read my mind or my mom told him what was going on in Edgar’s mind because Sonny and Maximus were laughing loudly.

“H-he,” Maximus pointed as he panted. “He was afraid you were your mom? And, you had the bright idea to show him you weren’t by showing you and your mom at the same time?” He asked as he busted out laughing again. “Too rich.”

“Is anyone going to unfreeze pop-sickly man?” My mom asked as she finally took a full breath.
