Recap

“Here you go, men. If you will excuse me I’m going to finish my measurements, so help yourselves,” I told them as I asked Winter to watch them and not to let any of them by the bathroom door.

The man and I walked into my washroom. I spelled the room to be soundproofed. I didn’t trust the other men as much as I trusted this one. I couldn’t put my finger on why, but he felt right.

“Royal King, I need to tell you something but I don’t want the other men to hear me,” the man, Henry, whispered.

Shit!

Here we go again.

Sonny’s POV

“My bathroom is soundproofed, so you need not whisper. Whatever you have to say will never leave this room nor my lips, well, other than informing my Beta’s,” I told him as I set him down on the chair in my washroom.

Yes, chair. Uggh, don’t ask.

Henry nodded and let out a breath. “I heard one of the advisors and his daughter talking. They didn’t know I would be on that side of the castle airing out your robes. They were talking about sending misinformation to get you alone. Please, Sire, don’t go anywhere alone.”

“Thank you, Henry, for bringing me this information. Can I trust the other two men? I feel as if I can trust you more than them.”

“I’m not sure about them. I’ve never worked with them before now. I’m not sure if they have your best interest at heart,” Henry answered, a look of concern across his face. “The advisor told us to come here and fit you.” His face went pale as I looked on in worry. “No, don’t trust them, and please don’t put any clothes on they made. I will let you know which ones and we can see what little surprises they have left for you. I don’t want to look as if I’m questioning them.”

I nodded my head and thought why me, but I knew I shouldn’t question my lot in life. I was about to talk but Windy’s warning had me stopping.

Stranger danger,” was all she said, causing me to grin

“Pull your measuring tape out and I’ll give you my size. Talk normal, okay?”

I stepped out of my pants and let Henry measure me. I made sure to take down the spell in the washroom. “Alright, Royal King Sonny, we have only one more-”

The bathroom door jerked open, causing Henry and I to look up. “-What the hell is taking so long,” another man growled.

“You will not come into my washroom asking questions. We were almost finished with the measurements. Take yourself out of my washroom now!” I commanded as the man bowed to me and left.

We finished the measurements, cheating as we did. Henry looked at the size in the waistband of my boxer shorts, only measuring the length of the shorts. It was a good thing he was making me something to wear. I grew too fast and didn’t have a lot of clothes. I knew I could snap my fingers and have clothes but I wanted this man to be my tailor and only him.

When we were finished I fixed my pants and walked back to my chair, well, more like stomped to my chair. I was about to pour a cup of hot tea when Windy screamed at me through our link. I sat my cup back down and leaned forward. “I think it’s time for you men to leave. Thank you for making me new vestments. I will see you in a day or two.”

All three men got up and bowed to me. I nodded at my sister to let her know to teleport these men back to the castle. I didn’t want them anywhere in the house. I didn’t trust the two men to not poison us somehow.

As soon as the men left my grandmother showed up. “I wanted you to see who was loyal to you and who wasn’t. Have you any idea who the traitors are?”

“Oh yeah. It would be your spy and her dad. I had a feeling she was a traitor to start with. Windy knew she was one too, right, Windy?” I replied as I shook my head at the stupidity of them.

“Yes, you’re correct. I told you she was a bitch and traitor to start with. Something she mumbled made me instantly shudder.”

“I’m sorry. I need you two to be careful and watch for traps. I can’t say more,” our grandmother said as she left down her guards and let us read her mind quickly.

“Uggh, I can’t believe it’s already starting. Why would they want to be the King to start with? The intrigue, the plots, and the power,” I sighed.

“Power, you dummy,” Windy chastised me, laughing at my facial expression.

I scowled, shaking my head at her. “We have a lot more power, well, a lot compared to anyone else. I can promise I will be the best King there ever was. I won’t let anyone tear us down. I will make sure the ones causing problems will be in the cells or dead before they can run and cause more trouble,” I stated.

The Moon Goddess, my grandmother, laughed. “Spoken like a real King. You need to pack, Sonny and Windy. I left you two clothes in your closet. I knew the clothes you had wouldn’t fit. Check your closets and your chest of drawers.” She turned towards Windy. “And, yes I picked out your undies and bras, so suck it up.” She disappeared, Windy following her lead. I checked my closets and chest of drawers, breathing a sigh of relief that I didn’t have Scooby-Doo boxers.

I heard a scream coming from Windy’s room, causing me to teleport into her room as quickly as I could. Windy picked up bras and panty sets and shook them, not realizing I was in the room. “How could you, grandma? I don’t wear these kinds of underclothes. I like plain things.” I watched as she picked up her sets one by one as she ranted. “There is nothing left to the imagination with these.”

By then most of my siblings were in her room - not that she noticed. I knew my mom was going to be the first to comment. “Ooh, I love the ocean blue pair.”

Windy jumped and screamed at the sound of our mother’s voice. She didn’t realize we were all in her room until she screamed and looked around. She ran towards her suitcase, stuffing all of her lingerie in it. The heat in her cheeks had the rest of us laughing.

I sobered up first. “You had to know our grandma was readying you for a mate. What else was she supposed to pack?”

She huffed. “Clearly you don’t have embarrassing boxers.”

I said one word, “Nope.” Of course, as soon as I said nope a box fell from whoever knows where. “Ah, crap! I should have kept my mouth shut.” I walked over to the box and opened it, finding a pair of boxers with the ‘Family Guy’ printed on them. “Cool. Thanks, grandma.” All we heard was her laughing.
