From Here to Ecstasy

Chapter 144 - Pity

Dedicated to oddball, N.Y.O.B., and all of my readers who have supported me throughout my journey. Thank you.

Recap

I felt movement from above me. I shook my head and took one step over from where he was falling, pulling Kat with me. The idiot hit the ground hard, not having any lesson on how to be quiet or land softly.

“Oopsie,” Kat laughed. “That’s going to leave a mark, well, until my mate does what he said he was going to do.”

I reached down and ripped his throat out. I told Mark I was going to kill the idiot and I meant it. I was ready to go clean up and go check on my mom's condition. But, no, I had to deal with the idiot first. I did plan to go relieve him of his pack, so I guess this was faster.

“Why would you kill him? What is wrong with-”

“-me? I told you what I was going to do, but you thought I was lying. I never lie. Sorry for your loss by the way. I guess I will need to find an Alpha and Beta for your pack.

“I am the Alpha! Me!” He pounded his chest. “No one else!” He huffed and ran at me, shifting into his wolf as he growled.

Sonny’s POV

I knew someone else was beside me and I knew it was one of his nasty warriors. I figured he needed to go too, so I pulled the man in front of me right when Mark was about to go for my throat. Hey, it was faster getting rid of his men. I was tired and bored. Mark ripped out his throat, not knowing it wasn’t me.

I heard another gunshot as someone grunted. I looked back over to Kat, but she only smiled at me and turned around, looking at the top of one of the trees. I figured I would let her do her thing as I took care of Mark and the rest of his men.

I watched as Windy pulled back the invisibility veil, showing all the people around Mark’s men, making Mark’s pack jump in fright. I knew they were wondering what was going on. They wanted to know who Windy was and I was going to give them just that.

“I forgot to introduce you to my Beta couple.” I pointed at Windy. “This is my sister and her mate, Ares, the Royal Beta’s.” I turned towards Kat. “And she is my mate and the Royal Queen.” All of my brothers and sisters teleported to me, bringing their mates with them. “And, all the people around me are my family.” I stared at him, narrowing my eyes. “You just messed with the wrong family.”

“Oh, and all the women you locked in your cells are gone, too,” Ander told the idiot as he smirked at Mark.

“What? You can’t do that! I have my favorite and I was going to make her my mate!” He yelled, his face red as he stared at Ander. “I’ll kill you for this!”

Ander laughed at the messed up wolf and disappeared, reappearing right in front of the dumbass. “I’d like to see you try, but unfortunately the Royal Alpha King has plans for you.” He looked Mark up and down. “Pity,” he said as he teleported back to me.

I felt energy rush by me, causing my heart to stutter, my breath caught in my throat. I knew the spell that was thrown. I looked at Ander, worried about him, but he only grunted and started laughing. “Ooh, that tickled.”

I laughed at his words, my heart finally beating normally. I was so relieved he didn’t get hurt it took me a minute to breathe normally again. I looked around for the witch but Kat had a woman and man floating in the air, cuffs on their wrists. I looked closer and noticed the cuffs were witch and warlock proof, making me smile as if I was a mad man. My mate was amazing and powerful.

I turned back to Mark and shrugged my shoulders. “I guess this was your ace in the hole?” I asked as I chuckled, reminding me of the words my mother always used.

I heard him panicking, not knowing how he was going to get out of this mess. For now. His thoughts were so loud I almost winced. He was all over the place but I got his plans. He was going to play nice and then when my back was turned he would kill me. He didn’t care if it happened in a year or two.

“Don’t think you can trick me by becoming my BFF, not going to happen. I know your soul is dark as night. I don’t want you as my friend. I don’t need you as my friend. I’ve decided the rest of your warriors and you will be on trial. If you thought I was going to give you a pass, you are crazy.”

I saw one of the female warriors sniff the air as she made her way to the front of her pack. She looked at Mark with disdain and hate. “Mate,” she whispered, shaking her head no.

Mark looked at her and whispered her words. “You are my mate,” he asked as he looked her up and down, licking his lips lewdly.

She walked forward and stood in front of him, spitting in the dirt at his feet. “I will never be your mate. What kind of mate brags about raping women because he likes it. What kind of wolf would take a woman that was not his mate. I, Avery Thorn, reject.” She paused and looked at me as I gave her his name. “I, Avery Thorn, reject you, Alpha Mark Stone, as my mate and as your Luna.” She spat at his feet again and walked away, not showing any remorse or pain of the rejection. But, Mark was holding his chest, as if he was having a heart attack. His face was scrunched up with pain.

“Stop her!” He ordered one of his warriors. The warrior moved fast but he wasn’t faster than Avery. She grabbed his throat and slammed him on the ground, breaking several of his bones.

She looked up at the ass and growled. “Don’t order your warriors to grab me. I will put them all down before your eyes. You underestimated me.”

I had enough of all Mark’s shit and teleported him and all his warriors to my cells. I watched as Ander took off after them. I walked over to Alpha Black and shook his hand, pulling him into a bro hug. “Thanks for all your help. I know you want to see your mate, but please let her get checked out first, okay?”

“No problem, Royal Alpha King. I plan on taking it slow with her if she wants me to. But, I will be there for her. Please let her know I don’t hate her. I could never hate her. What happened here was not her fault.”

“I’ll tell her and mind-link you when she is done with our doctor, okay?” He nodded his head. “But, you are more than welcome to come to the packhouse with me. I know the need to be with your mate. I’m going to clean up here and go home,” I told him as I walked back to the field.

I looked around and noticed Ander had cleaned up everything. The bodies of the skinwalkers were all gone. My warriors were at the packhouse. “The group I told you about earlier is close to the idiot’s packhouse. They are shackled,” Alpha Black informed me.

“I guess the hard part is done for now. I need to see who is who from this pack. They are going to need an Alpha, one I plan on vetting.” I stopped talking and looked at Alpha Black. “You wouldn’t be interested in taking over both packs, would you?”

His eyes widened, a slow smile crossing his face. “Yes. My pack has grown so much we are bursting at the seams. We don’t have enough land to build more homes or for a little town square we want to open.” He paused and looked at me, tilting his head. “Are you sure?”

I nodded my head at him. “I’m positive. I know you are a kind and caring Alpha, one who takes care of his people fairly. So, it’s a done deal. I will mind-link you before I teleport you to your mate, okay?” I shook his hand, patting his back in a bro hug.

“Thank you, Royal Alpha King,” he said as he bowed to me, a crooked smile on his face.

All of a sudden we heard a scream coming from the packhouse.
