Recap

We looked at each other and smiled. “I can’t wait to do this again. I never knew making love would feel like this.”

“Feel like what?” He asked as he leaned over and kissed my mark.

“Like, I’ve been set free. Like, my insides and heart can’t wait to do this again, but with me setting the pace. Like, love has cleansed me of all my faults.”

“Wow! I felt the same way. I was wondering how I got the best mate ever, a mate that has been tried and is true.” He smiled at me. “But, I wondered how you are so powerful, not that I really care whether you are powerful or not.”

Well shit!

“Shit indeed,” my wolf cockily said as I internally rolled my eyes.

Kat’s POV

“Uh, you can’t tell why I’m p-powerful?” I questioned, hoping he wouldn’t reject me when he found out about me.

I got up out of the bed and threw a robe on and started pacing. I was worried I would lose my mate for something I couldn’t help. My birth parents were to blame for my DNA makeup. I didn’t ask to be born. I didn’t ask to have the powers I have.

I watched Sonny get out of the bed and walk over to me, cupping my cheek in his hand. “I would never reject you because of your DNA. I love you and I want to be with you forever.”

Tears fell from my eyes as I looked up at my mate, a smile on his face. I took a deep breath and put my hand over my heart to get my heartbeat back under control. I dried my tears and kissed my mate, a sigh leaving my mouth. “I’m part witch, part wolf, and part angel.”

"Yeah, three parts in one, baby. We are special," my wolf decided to pipe up in excitement as I roll my eyes at her.

His eyes widened and a huge smile lit up his face. “I don’t see a problem with you being three parts in one. I love every little part of you. So, what’s the problem?” Well, then I guess he read my wolf or my mind.

I looked down at my feet and hugged myself. I was insecure about what I was made of. I was happy he wasn't afraid of me, but I was worried about what I still had to share with him. “Um, uh, my f-father w-was an f-fallen a-angel. He tried to make me a bad person but my mother kicked him out and taught me the right way to be. She told me to always hold on to the light, to not let darkness enter into any decision I make in my life. I wanted to kill him but my mom told me it would lead me to darkness and I would be taken away by grandparents, they would teach me everything dark. I listened to her and the Moon Goddess and the Royal Alpha female wolf picked me over everyone else because I was pure.”

I wrapped my arms around myself, not sure if he was going to say I was too much trouble for him. But, after a few minutes, I felt him wrap me up in my arms. He leaned over and gave me a sweet kiss and shook his head at me.

“I’m so proud to have you as my mate. You have overcome your dark side and it is something you should be proud of yourself for. I love you and will support you in your life as I know you will support me.” He smiled and pulled me in his arms as he walked to the bed. “Come on, Kat, we need to get some sleep.” He pulled the covers back and helped me get into the bed. He walked over to his side of the bed and climbed in. It didn’t take him long to pull me into his arms, my head on his chest. I figured he was going to spoon me but he wanted to be able to play with my hair and lull me to sleep.

At five we decided we needed to get ready to go eat with the Elders. We took a shower together, washing each other to save water, well, it was what Sonny said. I didn’t mind showering together because I washed his body and he got to wash mine. I was sexually frustrated when we left the shower but I knew we didn’t have a lot of time to get dressed. I quickly towel dried my hair and put a little curling spritzer on it, leaving my hair to air dry in little ringlets.

“Sonny, what am I supposed to wear for dinner? I don’t have many clothes with me right now,” I asked, knowing I didn’t have anything formal.

Sonny came out of the closet and snapped his fingers. A beautiful green colored gown showed up in his hands, matching shoes on the floor by my feet. “Here you go, honey. Do you like it?”

“Oh, yes. This is beautiful. Can you help me slip this on? I can’t wait to see what I look like in something this gorgeous. Thank you, Sonny,” I absently said as I looked at the gown, wanting to jump up and down from how beautiful it was.

Sonny unzipped the side zipper and helped me pull my gown on. He turned me around and laced up the back of the dress while I quickly laced the front of the dress, making the laces criss-cross across my chest. It was an intricate design, making the front of the dress beautiful. I couldn’t wait to see the back of the dress.

When Sonny was finished lacing me up he turned me around and handed me a mirror. I checked out the mirror, looking behind me. I gasped and smiled as big as I could. “It’s lovely. Thank you, Sonny,” I commented as I quickly kissed his lips.

I put on my shoes and followed Sonny out of our room, a warrior following us. I wasn’t aware he had picked out a personal guard but I wasn’t going to complain. I was so happy I had met Sonny. I wouldn’t have cared if he was a regular wolf, love didn’t discriminate and neither did I.

We walked into the dining room and everyone bowed to us as we walked over to our table, a table that was up on a dais. Everyone bowed again and sat down, but Sonny asked the Elders to sit with us, that they should be treasured. The Elders were surprised at Sonny’s words but they joined us on the dais. The Omega’s brought out more chairs and place settings and we started our dinner.

I looked around at the other tables and frowned. “Sonny, why aren’t the Omega’s eating with us?” I asked as I continued to look around. Everyone had their food, but the Omega’s weren’t amongst us.

“I don’t know but I will fix it,” Sonny told me as he mind-linked the Omegas. The Omegas came into the dining room, their eyes pointed to the floor. They all bowed and waited to see if they were in trouble. Wait! As if they were in trouble.

“Why are you not sitting and eating with us?” I heard Sonny ask as they gasped.

“Royal Alpha King, we were not allowed to sit and eat our food in the dining room. We had to wait and eat the leftovers,” a woman said as she bowed again and stepped back.

“I expect to see all of you join us in the dining room at every meal. You should be able to eat where you want to. You are getting paid for the work you do and if I’m correct you all made the food, so please grab some chairs and make yourself at home,” Sonny told them as he smiled at their gratitude.

“Thank you, Royal Alpha King. You’re truly a great King and we would be honored to heed your words,” the same lady as before said as the others grabbed chairs and sat them around one of the tables.

I smiled at Sonny’s actions. I knew he was kind and true. Everything he did showed his people his worth. “Thank you,” I softly said as I leaned over and pecked his forehead.

I looked around and saw the Elders with a shocked expression on their faces. “You might want to see what’s going on with the Elder’s expressions.”

I watched Sonny turn and look at the Elders. “Are you okay, Elder’s?”

A/N: Wonder what the Elders are thinking? Most packs treat their Omegas like crap but not Sonny. Can you guess?
