Forbidden Bonds

Chapter 14

Sebastian

He picks her up and carries outside to his mother. “Take her,” he says, “I’m going to kill that bastard that hurt her!”

His mother gently takes Skye from him and cradles her in her arms. Sebastian storms towards Alpha Nathan, who is restrained on the ground. “Ah,” Alpha Nathan says, “are you her mate? Too bad, she isn’t pure anymore!” He begins to laugh maniacally.

Sebastian walks over to Alpha Nathan and punches hard. “Shut the fuck up, you bastard! She’s the purest person I’ve ever met! She’s kind and selfless unlike you!” He holds himself back as he has plans for Alpha Nathan when he gets back to his territory. “Follow me and bring that bastard with you!”

They make their way back to The Blood Moon Pack’s territory, where Charlotte brings Skylar to the hospital and Sebastian locks Alpha Nathan up in the prison.

After making sure that Alpha Nathan is properly secured to the wall, Sebastian reveals what he’s going to do. “I’m going to inflict every single injury that you’ve caused Skye to have on you. Tenfold.”

He walks over to Alpha Nathan and rips his shirt off before whipping him with a metal whip infused with wolfsbane. He continues to whip over and over again, until the skin on his back is peeling, red, and bleeding.

As his wolf heals his wounds, Sebastian inflicts more pain onto him before his body has a full chance to recover. He continues torturing Alpha Nathan until he unfortunately passes out. “I’ll be back,” he whispers, before leaving and locking the prison cell.

Skye

It takes several weeks for Skye to wake up. When she does, she’s very confused. She tries to speak, but all that comes out is a soft groan. This gains the attention of Dr. Graylen who is in the room with her. “Ah, Skylar,” she says, “you’re awake. Let me remove that tube from your throat.” Skye nods and lets Dr. Graylen carefully remove the tube from her throat. “Now then, how are you feeling?”

“O..ouch,” Skye whispers in response.

“Ouch indeed. You’re lucky we got to you when we did. You had internal bleeding. You would’ve bled out if we had waited any longer.”

Skye pales and reaches out towards her stomach. “B…babies?”

“They’re okay. Your wolf managed to keep them safe.” Tears escape from Skye’s eyes as she quietly begins to cry. Dr. Graylen gently hugs her, which comforts her some. “Honey, it’s okay. You’re safe now.”

“S…S…Sebby?”

“He’s come and visited you every day since you got here.”

Her eyes widen in surprise. “R…really?”

“Yes, speaking of which I should tell him that you’re awake.” Skye watches as Dr. Graylen eyes gaze over as she mindlinks her alpha.

Seconds later, he comes plowing through the door of the room. “Skylar?” he whispers, “You’re awake! You’re really awake!” He walks over to her and hugs her gently. “I was so scared. I thought I was going to lose you. Never again, promise me you won’t do this again.”

“I p…promise.”

“Skylar,” Dr. Graylen interrupts, “would you like to see your babies again?”

“C…could I?” Skye whispers.

“Of course, I’ll be right back.” She leaves the room, returning a few minutes later with a portable ultrasound in her hands. “Now hold still.” She squirts a gel-like substance onto Skye’s stomach and begins to use a probe on her. “There you go, here’s baby A.” She waits a few seconds before moving. “And here baby B.”

Skye’s eyes widen at her babies’ growth. “B…bigger?” she whispers, sounding confused.

“Yes, they’re bigger than when you first saw them. You’ve been unconscious for about two months, which would put you around thirty and a half weeks.”

Skye lets out a squeak of surprise and then she begins to shake rather violently. “Skye,” Sebastian says softly, trying to comfort her, “it’s okay Skylar. I’ll be there with you when you give birth.”

She looks surprised. “R…really?”

“Yes, I won’t let you go through it by yourself again and if you aren’t comfortable with me in the room, my mom will stay with you.”

She looks relieved. “O…okay.”

He cocks her eyebrow at her. “What? You don’t want me there with you?”

“I d…do, j…just n…not w…when they’re b…being b…born!”

“Oh, that’s fair enough.”

Skye grabs onto Dr. Graylen’s lab coat, pulling on it to get her attention. “What do you need, sweetheart?” Dr. Graylen asks.

“W…when c…can I g….go h…home?”

“In a few days. I want to set up a few things for you before you go.”

“W…what?”

“Don’t look so scared, honey. It’s nothing bad.”

“W…what i…is it?”

“Physical therapy with Anne and also I want you to meet one of the psychiatrists. She’ll be able to help you move past your trauma in a healthy way.”

Skye lets out a whimper again. “A…Anne’s n…nice.”

“Yes, she is. I promise the psychiatrist I want you to meet is just like Anne. She specializes in cases like yours too.”

“W…when?”

When will you meet her? Well, I wanted to give you time to adjust to being awake again, but if you’re up to it, I can set up a meeting for as early as tomorrow.” Skye nods.

“Y…you come?”

Dr. Graylen looks surprised. “You want me to come?” She nods again. “Okay, I’ll come if you want me to.” Skye sighs contently before yawning. Dr. Graylen laughs softly before telling her to rest.

Sebastian

Sebastian sits with Skye as she sleeps, too afraid to leave her on her own. He sighs tiredly. “Sebastian,” Angela says, “you need to rest too. You can stay here with her, but you need to take care of yourself. You won’t be able to take care of her when she comes home if you don’t take care of yourself now.”

“Okay,” he grumbles. He gets up from the chair that he’s sitting on and lays down on the couch in the room. He stares at the ceiling for what seems like eternity before finally falling into an uneasy sleep.
