Chapter 51 What do You Want to Ask
Sadie heard his words and unhappily pushed him away. She was miffed and said, "Stop daydreaming!"
Julian no longer smiled and crossed his arms. He looked down and stared at her without blinking. His eyes were full of meaning. She would know it was true or not soon.
"What happens in the orphanage? Why is it closed? You said you will tell me the truth after dinner." Sadie felt nervous and scared.
She unconsciously stepped back and kept a distance with him.
His eyes were full of danger and she always thought he would not let her go easily.
"Go to the company with me." Julian raised his eyebrows, stretched out his arms and easily hugged her. He took her down the stairs and said, "I will tell you if you go to the company with me."
Sadie rolled her eyes. But she really wanted to know what had happened before. She bit her lips and didn't resist his touch.
Originally she wanted to call the police station to get more information but she forgot it finally.
She got in the car and buckled up. At this time, Julian handed an IPAD to her then lazily leaned against the chair and closed his eyes. The light in the car dimmed and the screen of the IPAD is extraordinarily bright.
Sadie was a little confused and she clicked the files inside and skimmed it. She tremblingly clicked the photos from the scene. She saw the bloody photos and instinctively clapped her hands to her mouth but she couldn't help vomiting. "Ew..."
Sadie didn't know how long it had been and someone stood in front of her. She heard Julian's voice in a calm tone. "Everyone is on this list and it is similar to what the police found. Your foster mother and the manage officers of the whole orphanage are almost all involved."
Sadie hesitantly took the water he handed and narrowly took a sip. Her face paled. She looked out the window and shivered uncontrollably.
What Libby said was true. The recording she heard before was also real but she always didn't willing to accept it.
This was not home but a trap.
She couldn't believe that her kind-hearted mothers were so cruel and indifferent.
They were also women and had their own kids. Did they feel shameful to sell those little girls?
"Do you still want to help her?" Julian said in a calm tone. "No matter how you decide to do, I won't stop you and you still have my commitment."
Sadie didn't say anything. She stared blankly and tears streamed down her cheek.
She was the stupidest one in the orphanage. She was busy with doing part-time jobs every day and wanted to share the stress at home, after all, Esme was her foster mother.
She regarded Esme as her real mother. However, the person she tried her best to pack back didn't spend any time or money on her from the beginning of adopting her.
"You should be happy. At least you haven't suffered any harm." Julian took a handkerchief and handed it to her. He hugged her and pattered her back with his palm. "You don't have to hide your sadness and cry when you're sad."
Sadie took the handkerchief on his hands and tired not to cry.
Sadie said nothing and Julian became silent too.
When they arrived at the company, Sadie seemed to react and followed him mechanically. Her face paled as a paper.
She looked poor and Julian felt sore for her
They took the elevator and went to the officer. It seemed that Sadie still didn't calm down. Julian could not help her and asked Khalid to accompany her then he went to the conference room for a meeting. The teamwork case with Caleb had entered the formal negotiation stage and he must personally check it.
The relevant files had been sent for
check. Once passed, it would enter clinical trials and the company's
stock price would rise steadily. Het
had prepared it for more than two years and it was impossible for Samuel to win. In the head office,
Sadie blankly took the water from Khalid. Her eyes looked dark but she looked listless.
"Master Julian was busy now and he asked me to accompany you." Khalid smiled and remembered the first time he saw her. She was afraid and stood behind Julian and called him like Mr Khalid. He couldn't help feel distressed.
It was a suffering for her to live in that condition these years."Thanks." Sadie tried to smile, lowered her head and took a sip of water.

The warm water flowed down the throat and in the stomach. She gradually felt warm after chilled the cold wind before. She blinked her eyes, gradually regained her senses and pretended to say unconsciously, "Mr Khalid, you must stay with Mr. Mccarthy for a long time
Khalid blinked his eyes. He smiled and nodded. "It's been almost 20 years. Why do you suddenly ask this?"
"Just making conversation." Sadie took another sip of water, held the cup in both hands and tried to stop trembling. "Mr Khalid must be familiar with him. Could you tell me more about him?"
Khalid heard her words and felt both relieved and sad. He pretended to get the dessert and think about how to answer her quickly.
She was not suitable to know what happened in the past now. If the congestion that oppressed her memory nerves dispersed suddenly because of stimulation, it might be fatal.
Khalid picked up the dessert on the bar and smiled as if nothing happened. He said, "Master Julian doesn't like others pay attention to his private affairs. If you really want to know it, you can ask him."
"I did not really want to know." Sadie looked down. She suddenly remembered Cohen's advice and was so scared to sweat.
Khalid had been with Julian for nearly twenty years and he must be loyal to him. No matter what she asked, he would tell Julian anything.
She preferred to talk to him face to face instead of exposing her thoughts to his subordinate.
Thinking of this, she calmed down and asked him whether Julian was always so busy.
It seemed that he wasn't busy most of the time since they had met.
On the contrary, Otto was very busy every day after working.
"He was busy most of the time." Khalid put the dessert and fruit on the table. He saw she had finished drinking the water and went to hand her another glass of water.
They had chatted about an hour and Julian came back. Khalid nodded at him, smartly opened the door and left. The door was closed. It was sudden a silence in the huge chairman's office.
Julian took off his jacket and threw it on the swivel chair. He untied the tie and went to poured himself a glass of water.
Sadie looked up and stared at the
side of his face. She calmly said, "Mr. Mccarthy, I want to ask you a question. She didn't want to think about it anymore and she really
wanted to know whether in
really
had met before. "We are husband and wife and it is rusty to call me like
that." Julian sat next to her with a
deep smile in his eyes. "What do you want to know? Sadie"
