Fentanyl E001: The Mysterious Experiment(Book 1)

Chapter 20: The Expert Scientist

Third Person's Point of View

As Nathalie noticed Nisha trembling, she was puzzled and concerned. Shawn, too, had a pale and fearful expression on his face. Mr. Shione entered the laboratory in the midst of the chaos, his voice carrying worry.

"Can you tell me what happened?" he asked, approaching the agitated duo and doing his best to calm Nisha. Nathalie felt remorseful, realizing that her actions might have triggered this state in Nisha.

Despite their efforts, Nisha's shaking persisted, and Shawn, tearful and worried, held onto her hand, feeling helpless. He berated himself internally, feeling like a fool for not being able to help Nisha. His worry was evident on his face, even as he tried to stay composed.

While the two of them were engrossed in their efforts, Shawn glanced towards the door as it opened. His expression turned grave when he spotted Truce, who had just entered the laboratory. The sight of Truce in this moment raised further questions and added to the tension in the room.

As Truce insisted on helping, the room fell silent. The tension escalated when they heard another voice, and all eyes turned to the entrance. Mr. Shione recognized the newcomer as not just a fake parent, but also a specialist scientist from the Peur Organization. Realizing that Truce's presence indicated danger, Mr. Shione stepped aside, allowing Truce to approach the trembling girl.

Truce sat down beside Nisha on the hospital bed and immediately felt her pulse. Something seemed off, and Truce couldn't help but wonder why someone else was tracking her pulse. His suspicion grew when he found a needle in Nisha's arm and realized it was linked to the Fentanyl, which caused the brain monsters. With a hint of disbelief, he showed the black needle to the others.

"What's this?" Truce asked, his voice icy. Nathalie squinted, trying to see the needle more clearly. When she recognized it as a syringe connected to the dangerous Fentanyl, she gasped in surprise. But their attention shifted to Nisha, who had just woken up, her eyes now a different color.

The situation had taken a worrisome turn, and the true extent of the danger Nisha was facing was becoming apparent. Everyone in the room was on edge, unsure of what would happen next and how they could protect Nisha from the looming threats.

"Tito..." Nathalie tried to communicate with Truce, but her words were filled with terror that Truce couldn't fully comprehend, though he could sense the urgency in her tone.

Nathalie's warning became clear as Nisha suddenly rose to her feet, her eyes now a deadly black. It was evident that she had lost control of herself, and the others could only imagine the powerful emotions and memories that must be overwhelming her. Truce couldn't help but wonder if it had something to do with the vision she witnessed while unconscious-perhaps a traumatic history of her own.

Reacting quickly, Truce pressed a red button on the wall, triggering a loud bell sound. The sudden noise startled them all, snapping them out of their shock and prompting them to be on guard. They knew they had to be prepared for whatever Nisha might do in her current state.

The room was filled with tension and uncertainty, as they braced themselves for the next turn of events. They knew that Nisha's emotional state was fragile, and they needed to find a way to help her before it was too late.

"Move now! We need to restrain her! If we just stand here, we're all in danger!" Truce reiterated urgently, and the others knew they had no choice but to follow his lead. They quickly moved into action, spreading the word and alerting others to the situation.

Shawn was on edge as they made their way to the meeting room, where they took cover. They couldn't risk exposing themselves to Mr. Shon's men, as they knew they would be in grave danger if he suspected anything.

Meanwhile, in the laboratory, Truce and Nisha were locked in a tense stare-down. Truce's emotions were a whirlwind as he tried to figure out how to handle his daughter, who was no ordinary monster. She wasn't ruthless like the others; there was still a part of her that he recognized and cared for deeply.

The situation had become incredibly dangerous and uncertain, with Nisha's uncontrollable state posing a significant threat to everyone around her. The struggle to bring her back from the brink of her rage and pain was a daunting task, but Truce was determined to protect her at all costs.

Truce was taken aback by Nisha's cold and resolute words. He could sense the intense emotions brewing within her, yet she remained in control of herself, displaying a deadly calmness. He knew that she was no longer the innocent girl he once knew, and the magnitude of her power both frightened and amazed him.

"Nisha, we can't resort to violence," Truce tried to reason with her, though he understood the depth of her pain and anger. "Killing Mr. Shon won't bring Scarlette back. We need to find another way, a way to bring him to justice without losing ourselves to darkness."

Nisha's fists clenched tightly, and her eyes narrowed with determination. "I understand, Dad. But he must pay for what he's done. He has to suffer as we have suffered," she replied, her voice steady and unwavering.

Truce sighed, realizing that his daughter's grief and desire for vengeance were too profound for him to fully comprehend. He knew that he had to support her and find a way to guide her towards a path that would lead to justice and not destruction.

"We will find a way, Nisha. Together," Truce said, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "But we must be careful. We must not let our anger consume us."

Nisha nodded, and for the first time, Truce saw a glimmer of hope in her eyes. He knew that they had a long and difficult journey ahead, but he was determined to be there for her every step of the way. They would face the darkness together and emerge stronger on the other side.

Nisha looked at her father, her heart torn between her desire for vengeance and the love she had for him. She knew he was trying to protect her and prevent further bloodshed, but her anger and grief were overpowering her logic.

"Dad, I know you're trying to protect me, but I can't just sit back and do nothing. Scarlette is gone because of Mr. Shon, and I can't bear the thought of him continuing to harm others," Nisha said, her voice tinged with sadness.

Truce understood the pain in her words and the burden she carried. He knew that her desire for justice was fueled by love and the need to prevent more suffering. Taking a deep breath, he looked into her eyes with determination.

"I won't let more people die either, Nisha. But we must be strategic in our actions. Killing Mr. Shon won't solve everything, and it might even make things worse. We need a plan, a way to bring him down without descending to his level," Truce replied.

Nisha hesitated for a moment, but then she nodded slowly, realizing the truth in her father's words. "You're right, Dad. I don't want to become a monster myself," she said softly.

Truce smiled gently and embraced his daughter. "We'll find a way, Nisha. We'll bring him to justice, but we'll do it without losing ourselves in the process."

"I am, after all, still your father. I don't want to be separated from you. Kimeniah isn't alive this time," Truce repeated, watching as Nisha's eyes twinkled upon hearing her sister's name. Although she was crying, there were no tears flowing from her eyes. Nevertheless, she nodded slowly, indicating that she understood.

"I don't want to cause harm to anyone, including you, Dad. Please hand over the syringe. I'm going to do it, so I'll return to my unconscious state," Nisha said, her voice filled with determination. Truce handed over the strange needle without hesitation, knowing that it was necessary for Nisha's well-being.

As Nisha gradually lost consciousness, Truce adjusted her lying posture and turned his attention back to the monitor. He noticed that Nisha's blood was recorded in a different way this time. Without hesitation, he hit the intercom button to notify the others.

Nathalie, Shawn, and Mr. Shione quickly entered the laboratory, concerned about Nisha's condition. Truce was deeply focused on analyzing the data displayed on the monitor.

"T-tito... How is she?" Shawn asked nervously, glancing at Nisha's motionless form. Mr. Shione tried to get Truce's attention with a sneeze, but it had no effect. Truce was fully immersed in studying the results, and he looked troubled.

"Her body is saturated with blood like a hog. However, fentanyl is also present in the blood of wild animals. I'm not sure how it got into her body. Another issue is that there is unidentified blood. It's not a lot, and I only noticed it now," Truce explained, the perplexity evident in his voice. The others were equally puzzled, wondering how this could have happened.

As they pondered the strange situation, Nisha's body stirred slightly. Truce's attention immediately returned to her, and he observed her eyes. They were a different color, and he knew that something significant was happening.

Truce took a deep breath, his mind racing with possibilities. "It seems that Nisha has tapped into some kind of power, but it's unlike anything we've seen before. We need to find a way to bring her back to herself and understand what's happening."

As they struggled to comprehend the situation, they knew that they were facing a new and dangerous challenge. Nisha's newfound power held both promise and peril, and they had to find a way to help her navigate through it while protecting those around her.

"How about her eyes?" Nathalie inquired. She holds herself responsible for what occurred. Truce took a big breath and sat down next to Nisha. Her face was touched by him. She does not deserve everything that has occurred in her life. However, nobody can stop what is supposed to happen in a person's life.

"She'll need to wear a contact lens. She can see images with her eyes. And unless you can manufacture Fentanyl, it'll be permanent," Truce paused for a moment. "She isn't even 18 yet, and she's already like that. It's a unique case. Someone has succeeded in the experiment, albeit in a different generation. I also get the impression that Mr. Shon was hurrying to arrange the war because he was dying slowly. You'll have to be ready for everything. Nisha wishes he was dead. She transforms into something similar, but she is unable to murder innocent people. But we don't have to ignore," Truce added, and they mentally agreed.

Shawn sat in a chair, his gaze fixed on the woman he adored. He adores Nisha and is willing to go to any length for her.

"Anyway, you indicated before that the Fentanyl Experiment was carried out by someone in a previous generation. Is that individual still alive?" Shione inquired, and everyone saw Truce nod.

"Could you tell me his name?" Shawn was perplexed.

"Mr. NO is his name. The enigmatic expert scientist."
