Fate’s Second Chance Chapter 7
Chapter 7
“What about?” Isaac’s tone was incredibly icy as he slowly leaned back. “Never
introduce these women to me ever again.”
Does it not disturb him that his friends might also share the same call girl with him?!
Then again, there were people with such kinks in the circle, but having been living a celibate lifestyle for years, Isaac honestly had no interest whatsoever in this.
What in the world has Bryan learned out there all these years?! Looks like it’s time to
make him settle down.
“Are you really not going to meet her, Isaac? I’ve searched far and wide before finding
her, thinking she’s the one.” Bryan still had a few vacant houses and thought if Isaac
really wasn’t interested in using Salome, he would hire her for himself. “If you really
don’t want her, I’ll take her then. I quite like her.”
Inexplicably, Isaac straightened his posture and said, “I will arrange an internship for
you in Anderson Group, lest you hang around with all these buffoons all day long. Your
mother has already talked to me about it. Report for work tomorrow morning.”
The sudden notice stumped Bryan, but Isaac hung up before he could retort.
At that, he gazed distressingly at Salome, who had a good idea she had likely been

rejected.
“Don’t sweat it, Mr. Lane,” she comforted him. “Maybe Mr. Anderson has a more
favorable plan. That villa is designed for the person he loves, after all. It’s only natural
that he would be more prudent about it.”
Bryan sighed in response. “That’s impossible. He’s still searching.”
“Well, fate is also crucial in doing business,” Salome said composedly. “Maybe I’m just
not destined to collaborate with Mr. Anderson.”
“How about this? I’ll have a proper chat with him after this. If he really doesn’t need it, .
you can design my vacant houses. How does that sound? I really like your style.”
Salome smiled and extended her hand. “Sure. Thank you, Mr. Lane, for your
appreciation.”
Bryan received another phone call and smiled apologetically at the two, “I’m sorry, but I
have to leave early. Why don’t you leave me your number, and I’ll contact you another
day?”
Without hesitation, Salome gave him her number, and Bryan saved it before leaving the
private room.
Very quickly, it was just Salome and Luke left. This was Luke’s second event of the

night, and he had drunk quite a bit. Now that they were alone, he didn’t maintain any
airs.

“Shall I get you a cab?” Salome knew that he had held on until now solely to discuss the business with her. It wouldn’t be right for her not to appreciate his efforts, especially
since she enjoyed working in Luke’s studio.
“I’d appreciate that.” Once Luke felt relieved, his drunkenness instantly became
apparent.
It wasn’t that Salome didn’t want to drive Luke home, but he had been married for a
year, and his wife was quite the jealous type. So, it was much safer for everyone if she
got him a cab.
With that, she supported him and headed to the elevator at the other end of the
corridor, which led straight to the exit, after leaving the private room.
In his drunken stupor, Luke grumbled a few complaints. “I already told you it’s not what
you think. You’re making me tired with your assumptions.”
“Can you give me a little privacy?”
He was probably dreaming of quarreling with his wife. Salome politely supported him,
but maintaining distance made the task somewhat difficult.

Luke stumbled, and when the elevator doors opened, he almost fell in.
Salome pulled him back at once, and a fair and slender hand with distinct joints reached out from inside the elevator, blocking the closing doors.

She followed the hand and looked up to find it was Isaac. Just like that, the ‘thank you‘
she was about to say got stuck in her mouth.
How was it possible to encounter someone she hadn’t seen in three years everywhere
since yesterday? Was it fate or just coincidence?
Isaac, on the other hand, shifted his gaze between her and Luke, then withdrew it,
asking, “Which floor?”
Two silver buttons on his dress shirt had been undone, and he wasn’t as impassive as
before, but his face remained expressionless.
Salome keenly caught a hint of sarcasm and disdain in his eyes.
The atmosphere was somewhat strange. “First floor, thank you,” she said politely but
kept her distance as she supported Luke and entered the elevator.
Just then, Luke muttered a few nonsensical words. “You never shut up about money.
Do you really have feelings for me?”

Salome had heard from her colleagues at the studio that Luke’s wife was a rather big

spender. While Luke himself was hardworking and managed the studio meticulously, he
didn’t keep any of his money but gave it all to his wife.
Salome shivered, thinking the air next to her was chilly. Then, Isaac’s light sneer came.
“A client?”
As much discomfiture as Salome was in, she couldn’t admit Luke was her boss at this
time.
Isaac was already displeased with her, and if he found out that the owner of the studio
was in such a drunken state, he might immediately blacklist them and never consider-
hiring them. She had no choice but to nod. “Yes, Mr. Anderson, what a coincidence.”
