Fate’s Second Chance Chapter 5
Chapter 5 I’ve Been in This Profession for Three Y
Chapter 5
There was a chill in Isaac’s eyes as if summer never reached them.
He gazed at Salome with a dark look, then indifferently said, “Let’s go.”
Salome followed behind him as he swiped the card and walked through the door.
The floor of the main hall was shining brightly, and everyone standing by at the
entrance greeted Isaac with respect.
After walking a short distance, Isaac turned to look at her.
Salome stopped in her tracks as well, then smiled politely at him.
“How much did Bryan pay you?”

Salome didn’t know about the relationship between Bryan and Isaac. In fact, she didn’t
know much about the Andersons, and neither did she want to.
In the past three years, she never even met Isaac’s father.
In her view, since Bryan knew Isaac, it would mean that they were in the same social
circle.
“My boss said that this order might reach hundreds of thousands.”

“You even have bosses in your profession?”
Isaac was surprised. He didn’t know much about this area.

By the looks of it, Bryan was right when he said that Moonlight would provide some
customers with a certain hidden service. Isaac had never tried that before, and he didn’t
expect to experience that on his first night back home.
Now that things had progressed this far, there was no point in thinking about it.
He started walking toward his private room, but when he noticed Salome trying to
follow him, he turned to look at her. “Bryan said that you people charge a high price and
guarantee satisfaction for all your services. Is that right?”
Salome had met many clients during her few years on this job. Most of the wealthy
clients were generous with their money, but some were a little cautious.
So, when she heard Isaac’s words, she said in a professional tone, “Mr. Anderson,
regarding our prices, perhaps it would be better to say that everyone is entitled to their
own opinions.”
To each their own, is it? Isaac thought.
A look of dissatisfaction flashed across Isaac’s eyes as he sneered. “Is that so? I’m not
satisfied with your service, though.”

Her reactions were immature, and he had to take the lead throughout the process.

Since she was doing business, the client’s experience should be of utmost importance,
right?
Moreover, she was charging hundreds of thousands for it. Save for her figure and looks,
she couldn’t possibly be worth that much.
By the looks of it, it was too easy to earn money in that profession.
Keeping the ‘customer is king‘ motto in mind, Salome humbly said, “Mr. Anderson, you
can tell me which styles you prefer. I can make adjustments to match the client’s
preferences.”
There was a polite and pleasant smile on her face. Under the illumination of the wall
lamps, she was covered in a gentle sheen, giving her a surprisingly seductive quality.
Isaac’s expression froze. For some reason, he recalled the scene this morning right
before daybreak. She seemed to be in pain, and her red lips were slightly parted, her
eyes losing focus as she wrapped her arms loosely around his neck.
Her eyes glistened with moisture, and they were like blooming flowers, clear and
alluring.
Salome looked up and said with confidence, “Of the clients I’ve provided services to,
there were a lot of repeat customers, and they were all satisfied with me.”
The houses or villas she designed could even be resold at prices multiple times their
original price. So far, no one had any complaints about her.
Repeat customers? Isaac thought.
“You have other clients?”
Isaac was slightly upset by that, and his eyebrows creased. “Isn’t this your first time?”
“Of course not. I’ve been in this profession for three years.”
Salome looked surprised as if she couldn’t believe he would ask that question. What
exactly did Bryan tell him?
She had just finished speaking when the man’s expression turned cold.
Isaac wasn’t sure what he was feeling, but he just felt offended. He was even a little
annoyed. “Fine, stop following me. Business is business, so quit hoping for anything.
else.”
Salome paused in her steps, unable to understand why he suddenly got mad. “I’ll look
for Mr. Lane, then?”
To Isaac, her confusion was nothing more than feigned ignorance. The man frowned a
little as a foul expression colored his face.

“Is he your client as well?”
“In a way.” Salome nodded. A potential client was considered a client too.
Isaac’s expression turned even darker as he walked away without hesitation.

Salome stood where she was, trying to figure out which part of her answers had gotten
on his sensitive nerves. She didn’t say much, and she didn’t do anything wrong, so why
was he still dissatisfied?
He couldn’t have known about her identity.
Just then, Luke gave her a call. “Salome, have you gotten in?”
“Boss, I think I messed up.”
Luke was stunned. He trusted Salome completely, for she had a special talent in
design. Ever since she joined this profession, Salome had never once said that she
messed up.
“We’re in Room 1402, so come here first.”
“Understood.”
Salome ended the call, then asked a waiter for directions to the room.

Luke raised his head to look at Bryan, who was crossing his legs beside him. “Mr. Lane,
the designer will be arriving soon.”
Bryan had flashy features, and he exuded a youthful aura from head to toe. He said
smilingly, “It’s okay, my cousin is almost here too. We’ll have them talk in person later.
I’m sure the deal will be sealed.”
With Bryan making guarantees, Luke let out a relieved sigh as he smiled and said, “By
the way, Isaac and I were classmates in high school, but I don’t think he remembers
me.”
With a background and looks like that, Isaac had no lack of people trying to gain his
favor.
Moreover, even though they were in the same class, strictly speaking, Isaac didn’t even
spend as long as six months in school.
As soon as Luke finished speaking, someone opened the door to the room. Salome
walked in.
She wasn’t in her business attire today. Instead, the light–colored casual outfit she
donned gave her a gracious aura. Paired with a purse of the same tone and her long,
casually tied hair, she gave off a neat and calm impression.
She looked at Bryan and smiled. “Hello.”
Bryan’s eyes lit up. “What a surprise. You’re not only talented, but you’re also very
beautiful.”
When he noticed that she came in alone, he was a little confused. “Didn’t I ask my
cousin to pick you up? Where is he?”
Salome was stunned. Isaac is his cousin?
