Fate’s Second Chance Chapter 4
Chapter 4
The car door opened.
Brenda moved to step forward, but the young man who got out of the car wasn’t Isaac.
Instead, it was his assistant, Jason.
“Madam, Mr. Anderson has an emergency appointment, so he won’t be able to come
back for dinner tonight. This is a gift for you.”
When Brenda called Isaac, she only told him to come home for dinner. She didn’t
mention that Salome would be there too.
If not, judging by the fact that he left his wife and went overseas three years ago, he
would probably refuse to come home.
Brenda waved for a servant to take the fresh flowers from Jason. There was a look of
disappointment on her face as she sighed. “I understand. He’s busy, after all. Never
mind, tell him to take care of himself.”
Jason nodded, then went back into the car.
When Brenda returned to the living room, she felt annoyed at the sight of Salome.
Deciding not to humor the latter further, she waved and said, “Just leave for now. I’ll call
you when he’s free.”

“All right.”
Salome nodded. She didn’t have any intention to shamelessly stay for dinner.
She didn’t see Jason’s face. She could only make out a man’s figure just now, but she
knew that the man wasn’t Isaac.
She wasn’t bothered by the fact that she couldn’t meet Isaac today. After all, the divorce
agreement had already been prepared.
Salome got back in her car and drove away. As she waited for the traffic lights, she
glanced at her work group chat.
It was already past work hours, so the group chat was quite lively.
‘I heard that Isaac Anderson came back to prepare for his wedding. They just opened
sales for Imperial Villa, and he had already bought it at a high price. He must be
preparing to renovate it now.‘
‘I can’t believe that our boss is Isaac’s classmate in high school. Do you think he’ll help
us get a chance to design the villa?‘
‘If someone designs a wedding house for Isaac, their net worth will multiply, right? His
property overseas is enough to place him in the top spots of the wealth rankings. He’s
the top international capital trader, and he also comes from the prestigious Anderson

Family. It’s considered a win even if we simply got close to him and managed to say a
few words with him…”
Save for a few people in the social circle, no one else knew that Isaac was already
married.
Even the media never mentioned anything about it.
Salome wasn’t interested in this topic. She was about to step on the gas pedal when
she received a message from her boss, Luke Hudson.
‘Come to Moonlight. There’s a potential client who’s interested in the villas you’ve
designed before, and he wants to talk to you.’

It was completely by accident that Salome went on the path of interior design. She was
originally an artist, and in her first year of university, she somehow had the opportunity
to design a villa for her classmate. In the end, a millionaire took a liking to the villa and
bought it at 10 times the original price. Hence, this little episode caused her fame to
skyrocket.
After that, she accepted the olive branch from Luke, who was her senior at that time,
and worked part–time as an interior designer at his studio.
As for why it was a part–time job, that would be a story for another day.

When Salome saw the message, she turned the steering wheel.
Moonlight was an entertainment venue where young people loved to gather. Those
who patronized it were either wealthy or famous.
When Salome arrived at the entrance of Moonlight, Luke sent her another message.
‘I can’t go get you, but Mr. Lane said that he’ll ask a friend to bring you in. Just wait at
the entrance.
Moonlight operated on memberships. Salome wasn’t registered as a member here, so
she could only wait for someone to get her.
Meanwhile, Isaac received a call from Bryan Lane. “Isaac, there’s a friend I want to
introduce to you. She’s right at the entrance, so bring her with you when you come in.
You can get to know each other.”

Bryan glanced at the designs he was holding, thinking that Isaac would like them.
Renovations for Imperial Villa would begin soon, and since this cousin of his didn’t lack
anything, Bryan grabbed the chance to offer timely help.
“I guarantee you’ll like the present I’ve prepared for you.”
Isaac didn’t even have time to reply when the music suddenly turned up on the other
end of the line, so he couldn’t hear what Bryan was saying.
Chapter 4 Hello, Mr Anderson
The most famous playboy in Hallowthorn was none other than his cousin, Bryan.
As for the present Bryan mentioned, Isaac had a reason to overthink it.

When he got out of the car and spotted the woman standing at the most obvious spot
in front of the building, he frowned. It’s her? he thought.
When he got closer, he realized that he was right.
They had just met each other on the bed this morning.
Salome was about to dial Luke’s number again when she saw Isaac walking over to her.
The man’s outstanding figure and noble aura were too prominent, so he stood out even
in a place like Moonlight, where rich people were all over the place.
He wore a tailored black suit, and his expression was calm. As he walked, he looked like
mountains in the distance bathing in the evening glow, calm and reserved.
Isaac had wondered why the woman left so quickly this morning, but now, he was
certain that Bryan had paid her beforehand.
“So, you’re the person Bryan Lane wants to introduce me to?”
Salome was already surprised that Isaac would talk to her of his own accord, but when
she heard him mention Bryan, she realized that Bryan must be Mr. Lane, the person

Luke told her about.
So, the friend Bryan mentioned was Isaac, and he also intended to introduce her to
Isaac.
Could it be that she actually had the chance to design Isaac’s wedding house?
Salome found it ironic. They hadn’t divorced yet, but she, the soon–to–be ex–wife, was
about to design a wedding house for his next wife. Life could be absurd sometimes.
However, she was earning money with her capabilities, so there was no reason to turn
down the business opportunities presented to her.
“I think so. Hello, Mr. Anderson.”
