Fate’s Second Chance Chapter 14
Chapter 14 He’s Lying, Darling
Chapter 14
When Salome heard their words, she stopped drying her hair. In that split second, she
recalled the Bentley that had been hit at the field.

Wasn’t that woman willing to pay the compensation? she thought with a frown. Then,
she went back to change into a set of clothes before following the police officers to the
police station.
“Miss Felix, this is evidence of your car damaging a Bentley with the number 11111.
The surveillance footage shows that you hit the Bentley’s rear light at 6.20PM, but you
did not leave any contact number behind before leaving. The owner of the car wants.
you to take responsibility for this.”
Salome had a grim expression and pointed at the other car in the footage. “This lady
was in a hurry and told me she would pay for the compensation. That was why I left
without leaving my contact number.”
“The car owner wants you to pay the price, Miss Felix. These are the charges that their
insurance company has provided. Please have a look.”
In the end, she had to pay 45,000 in compensation. Although she could afford it, she
was upset that the arrogant woman had left her with such a mess.
“Miss Felix, if you are not-”

Before the police officer could finish his words, a young police officer came in and cut
him off. “You can leave now, Miss Felix. Someone has bailed you out.”

Salome was surprised. After all, who would bail her out when she hadn’t told anyone
about this matter yet?
As she thought about it, she followed the officer out of the police station and saw a
black car parked not far away. “They must be your family.” The police officer nodded at
her.
“Thank you for your hard work.” Salome smiled.
After the police officer left, she walked toward the car. Just as she was about to ask
about their identity, the car door opened, and a hand dragged her into the vehicle. At
that moment, she realized something was wrong. “Help-”
Before she could call for help, a handkerchief with a pungent smell covered her mouth.
She struggled for a moment before feeling herself go limp. While she was in a daze, she
heard people talking around her.
“Mr. Tyson is waiting for us at the hotel. Let’s hurry up and send the girl to him. He must
be waiting for her.”
“This girl looks gorgeous. Look at her face and body–she’s divine. No wonder Mr.
Tyson told us to kidnap her after seeing the camera footage.”

Tyson? I never thought that he would push his luck even though I used Isaac’s name as
a shield, Salome thought while gripping her knuckles tightly. The sharp pain cleared her
foggy mind momentarily.
She knew she would be doomed if they brought her into Tyson’s room.
After the car stopped, she was dragged out of the car and into the hotel lobby. Her body
was limp, so the two men supported her. Just as they were about to head into a VIP
elevator by the corridor, they heard a voice.
“I’m truly sorry, Mr. Anderson. I have already asked the staff to prepare a new suite for
you. It’s just right next door. I’ll escort you there.” The hotel manager was nervous. “It’s
our mistake. I asked them to check multiple times and even disinfected the room as per
Mr. Chambers‘ instructions. I didn’t know the shower was broken.”
This was the first time this had happened. Yet, Isaac was the first to encounter such a
problem. It was a rare sight to see.
“That’s enough. Stop following me!” Isaac cut him off. His hair was slightly damp, and
he looked impatient. “Tell your staff to check the room once again. I don’t want the
same thing to happen again.”
“Yes.” The hotel manager wiped his sweat away nervously. He had been promoted only
recently, and the hotel manager could imagine his career ending on the spot after
offending his boss with such a mistake.

Isaac took the room card and turned the corner. A group of people were walking his
way, but he paid no attention to them. Just as he was about to enter the elevator, a
figure rushed over and flung themselves into his embrace. In that split second, Isaac’s
face darkened. His face was as cold as ice. Before he had the chance to push the
woman away, he saw that it was a familiar face.

On the other hand, the men never expected Salome to make such a move. They dared
not step forward when they sensed Isaac’s intimidating presence.
In the meantime, Salome grabbed him tightly as if he was her savior. She hugged him
tightly and said, “Darling.”
Isaac froze at once, and the other two men were startled. They quickly retreated their
hands and thought, Mr. Tyson didn’t tell us she had a husband. What should we do now
that we’ve been caught in the act?
Having been provoked multiple times, Isaac was on the verge of going berserk. When
he was about to pull her away, he heard her begging in his ear, saying, “Please help me.”
She buried her head in Isaac’s chest and wrapped her arms around his waist tightly to
prevent herself from falling. Since she was nervous, her whole body was trembling.
Isaac paused and looked at the two men coldly.
It was hard for him to ignore the expression on their faces.

The men stepped back as they felt it was hard to breathe under Isaac’s presence.

Meanwhile, the elevator opened to reveal Tyson just then. He was here to look for them
since he was tired of waiting. When the men saw him, they quickly rushed over at once.
Tyson was a playboy and had been eyeing Salome for some time. After some thought,
he felt that having to deflower Salome was not enough. He told his men to prepare a
camera and some drugs. He wanted her to become his sex slave. He doubted that she
would try to run away after he was done filming what happened, and this was her price
to pay for lying to him!
When Tyson saw Isaac, he panicked. However, he soon suppressed his emotions and
smiled. “Mr. Anderson, Miss Penny is my girlfriend. I’m sorry about this. She’s pretty
drunk, you see.”
Isaac glanced at the flushed woman and narrowed his eyes as he thought, His
girlfriend?
The drug started to kick in, and Salome couldn’t think straight any longer. She could
only tell that the man in front of her was her only hope.
“He… He’s lying, darling. I’m not.”
