Fated Mates

Chapter The Unspoken Pull

I returned to the room, my mind still swirling with the forbidden thoughts that Sabastian had ignited within me. Freshened up, I couldn’t shake off the dirty thoughts that had taken root in my mind. This was uncharted territory for me, a realm where I found myself willing to discard the caution of waiting for my mate in favor of the allure that the Alpha presented.

The intensity of my desires surprised me, each thought tainted with a yearning to touch him, to feel the electricity of his presence again. My mind was on the verge of surrendering to the overwhelming desire that Sabastian stirred within me. Even my wolf, usually a source of strength that bolstered my resolve to wait for my mate, remained eerily silent. I had received my wolf at the age of 15, but the connection was to fully awaken on my 18th birthday—she would then reveal the secrets about my mate. Trusting in this unspoken bond, I patiently awaited her guidance.

Lost in my tumultuous thoughts, I was abruptly pulled back to reality as Sabastian’s touch graced my shoulder. The tingling sensation jolted me from my reverie, and I looked up to find concern etched across his features. He had taken a shower while I was lost in my thoughts, lost in the magnetic pull he exerted on me.

“Are you okay?” he asked, the sincerity in his voice unraveling the lingering tension that had settled in the room. It seemed that while my mind had been preoccupied, Sabastian had taken the initiative to refresh himself. The realization brought a flush of embarrassment to my cheeks—I had been standing there, lost in thoughts of him, oblivious to the passing time.
