Fated is overrated

Chapter 15

Lola POV

The first class I have is without Nadia, Jason or Sebastian. It's also my least favorite class - math. I mean, why would any werewolf have to be good at math anyway? I do get straight A's, don't get me wrong.

I know math is extremely important for high end jobs in the human world which is why I suffer, no, plough through it. But I don't get why werewolves - who will mostly just remain in the pack - would need it as much. No complaints though, I intend to get a good job after I leave the pack and make a good living for myself, all the while still attending the human university hopefully.

Walking up to my usual spot I see the gang of misery already lined up in the back, which is odd because they are never here before the class actually starts. Goddess forbid you would be in time for your class of course, and not come barging in later like you own the place.

Not even a second after sitting down I hear the most gut wrenching voice I have come to hate screech "how do you like your locker, fatty?". Sticking to my new mantra - don't let them get under my skin - I reply the fake- ass cheerleading captain "oh it looks marvelous! I love pigs, they are kind and smart creatures. I owe whoever did that for me a big thank you".

I look her way and can almost see the steam coming out of her ears. I give her a broad smile in return. She and Ashton are looking at me with murderous intent, as is Chris.

I know better than to turn my back on my enemies, so I keep them within my line of sight. Just as Ashton and Melissa are about to barge up from their chairs, the teacher walks in " gooooood morning everyone. Oh, everyone is excited for math today I see! What a pleasant surprise". I smile at her comment, showing her

obliviousness to the entire situation, and turn myself towards the teacher, knowing they wouldn't attack in front of a teacher in fear of being snitched to the Alpha. Saved by the teacher.

"Oh silly me, I left my notebook in the teacher's lounge, I will be right back kids". Oof, spoke too soon I guess. Either way, they wouldn't assault me with the risk of the teacher coming back in at any time.

I spot Melissa approaching the door to leave the classroom, the look on her face is unsettling to say the least. She has a big grin on her face and although she is stepping out of the room I know she is up to something.

She stops just outside the door and before I can wrap my head around what she is doing I feel my head being slammed against the table - hard. "What the f*ck is wrong with you! Get off me!"

I yell, unknowing who I am actually yelling to. "You f*cking wh*re, who do you think you are?! About time we teach you a lesson!". I feel a ferocious yank on my hair pulling my head backwards and I wince in the sudden pain.

Looking up and around, I see I am being held down by Ashton, Chris is in front of me with a murderous look and the rest of their gang is a bit further away watching us intently.

"F*ck off!" I exclaim through gritted teeth, trying to break free from his hold without arising any suspicion about my actual strength. "Shut up you b*tch!" I hear Chris boom out in his Alpha voice, making even Ashton back off a bit.

But somehow, probably because of my swirling rage, I am unaffected at the moment. Ashton paused for a moment but then roughly yanks my hair again, causing me to lose my balance and fall to the ground while he is still holding me up by my hair. "LET GO!!!!!" I scream in agony and I can feel the years of torture and hate building up inside me. I feel like a volcano that is about to explode and unleash.
