Chapter Fourteen
I swatted the hand he stretched out to grip mine away while scowling at him.
Aiden stared at me with searching blue eyes. I stared back at him.
He seemed quite shaken because of what might have happened.
Still, I was perplexed because If I had magic, I would know. Also, it would have manifested long ago.
Though I often had dreams of me casting some spells that were absurd, hearing it come from Aiden sounded even more ridiculous.
My brain was still fuzzy from the narration Aiden had made. I burst into a peal of laughter and was on my way to hysteria when Aiden gripped my shoulder, stroking my back as I began to wheeze.
He released me after a while, but he was still close by.
I gasped as I tried to contain the laughter that threatened to burst out again.
“I have magic?” I repeated giggling.
“I guess you don't remember then because if you had, you choking me wouldn't sound hilarious to you.” He pointed out.
Aiden's gaze still held that serious intensity to it.
I had magic? I pondered again, staring at the big brown wall clock.
It was getting late. I needed to get away from here before anything or anyone would delay me again.
In the news earlier, another full moon had been predicted. I was sure as hell that many more howls would resound tonight.
I stared at Aiden. He seemed normal and nothing like how he had been last night.
Last night had shaken me, made me frightened of him.
Despite what I had seen and the air of coldness he had exuded from the first time I saw him, he wasn't a bad guy.
If I hadn't got to see him, I would have believed all the rumours dished out about him.
Also, if I hadn't been here, I wouldn't have believed the rumours about supernatural beings dwelling here.
Now that he had told me everything, he seemed to have something else going through his mind as he kept staring at me.
I peeked at my clothing to see if there was anything that I was revealing too much. But, I found none.
His shoulders jerked, and a vein popped out on his forehead. He wrinkled his nose as if he was finding it difficult to breathe.
His lips parted, and he puffed out two breaths.
“What?” My brows crinkled as my eyes bored into his dilated ones.
“Mine!” He growled, pouncing on me.
I gasped as he came atop me on the sofa I sat on. His smooth palm gripped my backside, and he tugged me to his hardness.
A treacherous moan slipped out of my parted lips. My body arched on its own to meet him while my mouth latched on his.
The kiss was intense, heated, and tantalizing. It was better than the first. He bit on my lower lips, and I opened up to him.
My fingers clawed at his bare chest, and I sucked on his tongue as he slipped in.
He moaned into my mouth as I sucked harder. His hand found my core, and he slid a finger in it. I didn't object; instead; I widened my thighs for him.
He inhaled sharply and tore open the clothes I donned.
He kneaded my breasts that I pushed towards him, and then he slipped a rosy bud into his mouth.
I moaned out loud as he was sending fire and unknown emotions through me.
My eyes enlarged as I felt him slip on another finger. After a few quick thrusts, my body jerked, and my core tightened.
“Beautiful.” He growled. “Come for me, baby, come for me.”
And that I did as my gaze bored into his beautiful blue orbs.
Aiden parted my thighs, then quickly removed his hand in that same instant.
My hand moved to grip his, but he smacked it away. Before I could say anything, he scurried out of the room.
Grimacing, I sat upright and wondered why he had darted away from me.
I stared at myself and saw a slight bloodstain on my dress.
“Shit!”
Perhaps that was why he ran out because I had freaking bestowed my cherry unknowing to Aiden.
Aiden freaking Crooks!
“Okay, calm down, Elena,” I said to myself, glaring.
Maybe it was the right thing to do in a normal sense since he would break it, eventually.
Though it felt right, I wasn't ready to be this intimate with him. I didn't even know why I was here.
Yet, I had opened up to him.
I had given him what I had been clutching so tight for years; I had given it to him freely!
How stupid could I be?
It was obvious he didn't care because if he had, he would have asked what was wrong, and maybe we would talk things through.
Instead, he chose to run away at the first sight of blood.
Wincing at the sore feeling between my thighs, I stepped into the room and was glad he wasn't in it.
I stripped, then went under the warm water, washing away the fresh and dried blood on me.
I stepped out a few seconds later, only to receive a message from Renee.
“So, I have some juicy gossip for you. I'm wondering when you'll be here. Call me when you get this message.”
The message ended, and I didn't realize I was smiling until a giggle slipped out of my lips.
I also couldn't wait to see Renee. I missed her so much, even my bed. Despite how small it was, I missed its warmth.
I dumped my stained dress in my bag and donned one of Aiden's shirts.
“Where are you going?”
I lurched at the sound of his voice and swirled to meet his probing gaze.
“Home, I didn't change my mind.” Perhaps he thought I would because of whatever had happened between us.
“You can't,” he grunted.
“Why not?” I folded my arms across my chest while waiting for his reasons.
“Don't you understand what I've been saying ever since?”
“Perhaps you should enlighten me.” I retorted with an eye roll.
“A bad werewolf clan. They are coming for you.” He said each word slowly as if I wouldn't understand if he said it the normal way.
“See, Aiden, I can't be here. I have a life to live. Whatever happened last night, I'll pretend it didn't happen. I saw nothing!”
“If it's about what happened earlier, I'm sorry.” He mumbled, looking anywhere but at me. “I didn't know.”
If it wasn't for the situation we were in, I would have laughed at how cute he was.
Pink dotted his check, and he was trying so hard to cover it up as his gaze roamed around the room.
“It's okay. I wanted it too, and I should have warned you.” I mumbled shyly.
“Now that you are leaving, what about Gemma?” He asked.
I rolled my eyes at the change of subject.
“She's but a baby, Aiden. Don't bring her into this. She doesn't even know me yet.”
“I need to go home to think all these things through.” I stepped towards him and clutched his hands in mine.
“Fine, I'll let you go home, but that doesn't mean you should use the opportunity to run off. You are my mate, whether you want it or it, and I'll find you if you run away.” He stated.
“Whatever, Aiden. I need to assimilate everything that has happened in the two days I've been here. I need time, and I hope you won't chase after me.”
“I will give you the time to think about everything but me not chasing after you, that I can't guarantee.” He said.
I let out a sigh but didn't argue with him any further. Because I knew any argument with him would come to null.
“I'll take you home.” He offered, then moved to the wardrobe, swinging it open.
He plucked out a shirt exactly like the one I donned; he slipped it on before, bringing out a pair of stonewashed jeans that seemed somewhat baggy.
He pulled it off nicely despite it being faded.
“What?” He raised a brow as he gazed at me.
I averted my gaze from him. A blush tinted my cheeks when I realized he had caught me checking him out.
Aiden chuckled. His eyes travelled from my face down to my body.
“I know I look good, and I wouldn't object to you wanting a picture of me.” He winked.
“Cocky bastard,” I mumbled the last part, but he heard me.
He chuckled while shaking his head. “Come on, let's get you home.”
His palm met mine, and instead of shrugging it off, I let him lead me outside.
