Chapter 161 

Most of the things they bought were snacks. There were all kinds of ingredients at home, and they were all fully–stocked as it is, so they didn’t buy much. 

When Edith saw the refrigerator near the cashier, she couldn’t help drooling. 

So, she looked at Carlos pitifully and said, “Carlos, can I eat another ice cream? I want to eat this green popsicle. It’s delicious.” 

Hearing this, Carlos felt a little helpless. “You’ve already eaten two ice creams this morning. Another one will make you have a 

stomachache!”

Carlos pointed to the side, indicating for her to take a look. 

She turned around and saw a child next to her grabbing the corner of her mother’s clothes and pleading pitifully. Her gaze also fell on the refrigerator.

She shared a good taste of snacks with the children. 

“You still think you’re not a child? Well, this is the last one you’re allowed today!” 

No matter what he said, it would be fine if Edith achieved her goal. 

Just as she was about to go up and get it, a little boy rushed in front of her and picked up her favorite green popsicle. 

This was just like in her childhood memory! 

It seemed that she wouldn’t be eating any more ice cream today.

The boy thought, “As a man, I can’t let a girl cry.” 

Then the boy nodded and handed it to Edith reluctantly, but she turned him down. 

“No, thank you. Although I like it, you also want to get it very much. I can’t enjoy these kinds of privileges just because I am a girl. Thank you, I’m very happy for your kindness.” 

“But I’m a man!” The little boy said seriously and stuffed the food into her hand. “Men can eat other popsicles, but you only like this one!” 

The little boy said clearly and logically and then left with a different flavored popsicle. 

Later on, Carlos kept his promise and paid the bill for the boy as a reward for his gentlemanly behavior. 

“Thank you, mister.” 

The little boy took his favorite ice cream and thanked them. 

His mother lightheartedly remarked, “What a cute couple!” 

“What is a couple?” 

“It’s the relationship like that between Daddy and Mommy!

Hearing this, the little boy suddenly understood. He looked around and asked doubtfully, “Where are your children? Mom and Dad have me. Why don’t you guys have a baby?”
