Chapter 113 

It took Edith a lot of effort to pull her hand back as she said, “Thanks, but there’s no need for that. It’s up to you how to persuade Robert to come back to you. It wasn’t easy for me to get out of this misery, and I don’t want to go back anymore.” 

Upon hearing that, Teresa just looked at her in disappointment. 

“No matter what, you have to help me with this! Your boss is Robert’s older sister. Didn’t you notice that every piece of clothing I’m wearing belongs to your company? Actually, the bestseller of Simpledux isn’t the clothes that you guys design, but the silk square designed by your boss. Although I don’t see what’s so great about it, Robert loves it. Almost all of his girlfriends would get one from him. 

“Simpledux is producing a new batch of that soon, and they will definitely send the first batch over to Robert. This is how things work around here. You must get this task on your hands this time! I promise to find more clients for you!” 

“Where is it usually delivered to?” 

“Robert has a private villa, and the silk square is usually sent there. Don’t worry, you just need to make sure you get the goods. I’ll be delivering it.” 

“That won’t do. What if you damage it?” 

“Don’t worry, you can just send it to the door, and I’ll bring it inside. You can trust me to walk such a short distance, can’t you? If you can help me with this, I’ll ask my friends to frequent your office to customize their clothes. The clothes you design are pretty, and I actually have plans to make you my private designer. How does that sound to you?” Teresa offered. 

Edith quickly shook her head. Teresa was not someone easy to deal with as well. Now that she needed a favor from Edith, she would say all sorts of things to convince her. But once she got Robert back to her side, she would return to her arrogant state again. 

As for this favor, Edith was wondering if she should help Teresa with it. 

In fact, Edith was 100% sure that Robert would not change his mind. It was just Teresa’s wishful thinking. 

But from the looks of it, Teresa wouldn’t give up until she tried it herself. 

If she offended Teresa, Teresa might make things difficult for her in the future. 

Helplessly, Edith said, “You don’t need to introduce clients to me, but I’ll try to see if I can deliver the goods first. If I can’t do that, don’t blame it on me.” 

“I’m sure you can do it. It’s not a fun thing to do, so I doubt anyone would be fighting with you over that,” Teresa said delightedly. 

Edith took on this difficult task. She had just joined the company, and Teresa was a regular customer here. She really couldn’t afford to offend her. 

Plus, it was just a small favor. It should be fine. 

Edith went back to the company to apply for the job and soon got the new goods. 

In fact, she had no idea that her boss was Robert’s sister before Teresa told her about it. The boss never appeared in the company and had her own studio, but she would send her new designs over for production each month. The director was the one in charge most of the time. 

Edith asked Sarah she knew, and the latter had no idea about it as well. Sarah only knew that Simpledux had been in close contact with the Britton family and that they were under that family’s protection. Hence, no one dared to cause any trouble with Simpledux even though it was only a small company, but many came for their products. 

No one knew if the customers truly liked the design, or if they were just trying to get on good terms with the Britton family. 

Edith got the list and delivered the item before getting off work, while Teresa had been waiting at the door of Robert’s private villa for her. 

As soon as she saw Edith, she took away the gift box in her hand right away. 

“W thank you properly later!” 

Chapter 113 

Without looking back, Teresa tan far away, as her excited voice travelled to Edith’s ears. 

Edith was shocked. Before she could remind Teresa that she should not open the box, Teresa had already left. 

Also, her staff ID was still on the package! 

She chased after Teresa, but was stopped by the security guards. They said that the staff from Simpledux had already gone in, so she better not pretend 

to be them. 

Edith just waited anxiously outside, afraid that something unexpected would happen, or that anything would go wrong. 

“Nothing bad should happen, right?” she thought. 

Edith would never have thought that Teresa would unwrap the package and put on the blue silk square around her neck. 

Robert was leisurely basking in the sun in his garden. He was wearing sunglasses and sipping on a drink. Many beautiful women surrounded him, serving his every need. All in all, he was living his best life. 

At this moment, a delicate voice came from behind him, which almost made him spit out the lemon tea. 

“Mr. Britton!” 

Teresa pounced on him happily and hugged him tightly from behind. “We haven’t seen each other for a long time. I miss you so much!” 

Robert raked his head and finally remembered that he dated Teresa, but he had already dumped her a few days ago. 

He looked back impatiently, and his gaze froze in an instant. 

His gaze was fixed on the silk square, and it made him frown immediately. 

In an instant, his smiling face turned livid. 

He stood up from the lounge chair and grabbed her by the neck. His entire being appeared to be terrifying. 

His eyes were bloodshot. 

“Who gave you this silk square?” 

He shouted, and his loud and angry voice scared everyone present so much that they didn’t dare to move. 

“It’s… it’s the latest product from Simpledux. I… I took it from Edith because I want to… give you a surprise.” Teresa was scared out of her wits too and her 

voice was trembling. 

Robert’s grip was so strong that it was difficult for her to breathe, and she could feel that her brain was slowly lacking oxygen supply. 

Upon hearing that, he narrowed his eyes and threw her to the ground harshly. 

Then, he squatted in front of her, which startled her so much because she thought that he was going to strangle her again, but… 

He looked at the silk square intently. His movements were very careful and gentle as he untied it. 

After untying it, he tied it to his wrist and caressed it lovingly as if he was touching a treasure. 

Teresa just watched all this in a daze. 

Everyone in Caurtine knew that Robert liked silk squares. All the women he dated had to wear it every day. It was obviously summer, but they must wear a silk square around their necks. 

But she didn’t know that he was so obsessed with silk squares! It was an obsession, rather than one of his likings. 

She swallowed her saliva in panic. She didn’t want to stay here any longer, nor did she want to win his heart. 

Chapter 113 

However, while it was easy to enter this place, it might not be as easy to leave. 

She heard a sneer from Robert behind her. He said jokingly, “Such a person should just disappear from Caurtine!” 

As soon as he finished speaking, the security guards took Teresa away. 

At this moment, another security guard came over. “Mr. Britton, there is a woman at the door who is not leaving. What should we do?” 

Robert glanced at the tablet in the guard’s hand. The surveillance cameras were connected to it, and Edith’s anxious face appeared on the screen. 

If it was up to him, he would definitely not spare her easily, but she was Carlos‘ woman. 

“She’s not someone we should mess with. Just tie her up and take her to Carlos. He can decide how to punish her.” 

“Yes, Mr. Britton.” 

“All right, my babes. Have fun among yourselves! I’ll head back to my room to deal with something. Don’t miss me too much!” 

Robert returned to his playboy self, but those girls were not happy. The scene from earlier was a lesson to them. 

If they did something wrong, would they end up like Teresa too?
