Evil Angels

Chapter 43

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for reading! It means so much to me! Sadly, this is the end of Emma’s and Alexandra’s story :( I really enjoyed writing this book and seeing all of you reading it motivated me to keep writing each chapter. Please, let me know if anyone of you want me to write a spin off with any of the evil pairs. I was maybe thinking of doing one with Larus and Elijah. But who knows what the future holds?! Stay beautiful everyone! Enjoy the last chapter! - Mad Dog

Alexandra’s POV

6 months later…

After the battle at the Speartail Horde, things were rough at first but everything fell into place. Working with the angels actually felt normal. It isn’t like we hang out or anything outside of guiding souls but it feels nice to have someone else there during our work. They were the only other beings that understood at least part of what our lives were like.

Emma and I traveled the world for a while, doing things nobody would have even imagined doing. We actually got to stand on the very top of the Empire State building and the Eiffel Tower. Emma was still not a fan of the height but we got some nice pictures.

When we got back to Shirley, Emma took charge of the general store and even hired a new cashier. There was a town funeral for Andy, who we said died in a car accident while visiting relatives in Virginia. It was at the funeral where she finally cried for him and almost lost some control over her angel side. I calmed her back down though. I didn’t expect any less as he was a like parent to her.

Demarcus and Izzy have been visiting every month. They even seem like a part of our family now. Izzy was definitely good to have around for Emma, even though they were both up to something crazy. Especially with Emma’s wings. Those two are almost like sisters to each other.

I sat on the roof of our castle waiting for Emma’s shift to be over. I heard Elijah’s wings flapping before he landed next to me, “Hey there, pipsqueak.”

“Hello, demon. Anything interesting?”

He sat down and let his feet hang off the roof, “Not much. The angel guided them.”

“How boring.”

He nudged me with his wing then folded it in like nothing happened. I raised my eyebrows, “Really? Don’t start something you can’t finish, demon.”

He laughed, “Oh I can finish it.”

He hit in the back of the head with his wing before dropping to the ground below. I unfolded my wings and dropped down after him. I chased him into the house and into the kitchen only to find him hiding behind Larus. Larus sighed, “What are you two doing now?”

Elijah pointed at me, “Your meanie of a fledgling was chasing me.”

I laughed, “What are you five? You hit me first. You lair!”

Larus grabbed his mug of coffee and took a sip, “I will ignore what is happening. I am not even going to get involved.”

Larus stepped out of the way as I tackled Elijah to the ground and wrapped my tail around his legs, “Say you are sorry.”

Elijah shook his head and struggled to get away from me. Larus scoffed, “I swear you two are children. Anyways, fledgling don’t you have a mate to pick up.”

Shit!

°You better get over here Alex. I am closing up right now.°

I sighed, getting off of Elijah, “We will finish this later.”

I rushed out of the house and into the sky, towards town. I landed in the back of the store within 2 minutes, changed into my human, and walked in to find Emma doing one last clean up around the store. I tried sneaking up on her but her newly acquired angel senses helped her catch me in the act, “You are going to have to try harder than that to scare me, Alex.”

I huffed and crossed my arms, “I was trying hard. It is not my fault you are part angel.”

She put the broom away and came back, giving me a hug, “I know you were. Sorry I always ruin your fun.”

“You don’t always ruin it. We still have some fun.”

She leaned to give me a quick kiss then went to the front door to close up. Even with the huge wings and angel senses she was still the tiny mate I have always known. She looked over at the picture of Andy hanging on the wall and smiled, “See you tomorrow, Andy.”

We walked out the back and let our wings out. She stretched her wings out and smiled, “I will race you home.”

“You are so on.”

We both launched into the sky. Emma was fast but with her being part angel she was not as fast at night, while the moonlight on my wings gave me a bit more energy. The night felt so nice to fly in. I stopped my wings a little early so she landed on the roof just before me. We were both out of breath as we sat down next to each other. Her bright green eyes glanced over at me, “You let me win.”

“Yes I did.”

She shook her head, “You cheater.”

I laughed, “How is that cheating when I let you win?”

She crossed her arms and glared at me but sighed, “It’s no fair I can’t stay mad at you.”

I smiled, “That’s because you are my beautiful tiny mate and you are stuck with me until the day the Earth ends.”

I ran my hand over the soft, smooth feathers on her wings.

“I will never stop loving you, Emma.”

She smiled and ran her hand over the horns sticking out of my head.

°I will never stop loving you either, Alexandra... P.S. you are still way hotter in evil form.°

I will never stop being thankful for this girl next to me. I took on a whole army of angels in order to protect her. I went through the heartbreak of almost losing Elijah while she stayed by my side the whole time. She helped me truly accept the evil I was. She even surprised us all by bringing two species with an extreme hatred for each other back together. I still remember that store clerk that took me in after finding me bleeding behind the store. She could have left me there that night but she chose not to.

If someone asked me to relive the past year over again, I would as long I could spend the rest of my life with my tiny human mate.

Well... part human.
