Chapter 9
.....so thirsty...cant open my eyes....dad what have you done ?...ow...that hurt....what was...that?
Evanora slipped off again into a deep all consuming sleep. The needle her father injected into her arm bought about quick results and didn’t allow her any time to gain any composure and switch those orange eyes on again. Inside the needle was a mixture of Propofol and Midazolam most often used for operations in hospital so Evanora was out cold and completely at the mercy of her father. She was now tied to her bed by the arms and feet like a human cross, alone and vulnerable.
Her room was completely destroyed with any vestige of her mother erased, burned and torn to shreds in one of Evanora’s fathers fits of rage and anger. Because he couldn’t find her anywhere around the house and he forgot that she was at school in his drunken stupor and he knew that she clung tenaciously to the memory of her mother he decided in his blurred state to eradicate anything she loved and treasured to drive home the fact that he was the boss and he had the final say. Now with Evanora helpless and unconscious on her bed he could rule the roost again and be master of his domain without any fear of retribution from her with her magical strength and outrageous back chat.
Each needle that he punctured her arm with and injected the sleep syrup into afforded him 5 hours of total control and peace and quiet, a fact that he put to horrendous use. He made sure she was breathing by leaning down and placing a small mirror in front of her open mouth and if the mirror fogged up, she was still breathing and he didn’t have to panic.
He had enough sleep syrup to last for 3 weeks.
By then he figured she would most likely be as dead as her mother and he would bury her in the forest out back. He just had to make sure he got the levels of the sleep syrup right and injected her continuously to circumvent any type of pay back from the little witch. She wouldn’t be missed he thought as he boiled the kettle and washed his hands in the kitchen sink.
She should have died with her mother years ago.....
