Chapter 52: Journey to Gadoloria Island
As Giselle launched the live stream, the chat room burst into vibrant interaction.
To spice up the session, she picked a few comments and addressed them one by one.
After fielding three or four questions, the operator sent through some promising traffic data, signaling it was time for Giselle to kick off the scheduled dance performance.
Reluctantly wrapping up the Q&A, Giselle rose and smoothed her skirt, then announced to her viewers, "Next, I'll be performing a dance I've choreographed just for you."
She started the music, adjusted her skirt, and positioned herself about a meter behind the camera to ensure she was fully visible on screen. Taking a deep breath and rising onto her toes, she dove into the performance. As the music's rhythm picked up, so did the allure of Giselle's dance, sending the viewer count soaring.
The platform operator dropped a few virtual gifts into the chat, prompting a cascade of contributions from the audience. Soon, the screen was awash with gift effects, obscuring the performance.
Meanwhile, at Laroc Estate across the ocean, Henry's grip on his phone was so tight that veins bulged on his hand, his right-hand quivering.
Assistant Cooper stood by, silent, not daring to utter a word.
The phone displayed a woman dancing gracefully, her soft waist and flowing garments a delight to the eyes.
Yet, Henry found no pleasure in the spectacle; the silence in the living room was almost deafening.
Bang
The phone smashed against the wall, shattering into pieces.
"Why can't you find her after half an hour? What good are you all?"
Henry's voice was eerily calm, his presence commanding even without visible anger.
Assistant Cooper instinctively stepped back before managing to say, "Sir, the tech department traced the IP address, but it leads to Instagram headquarters. Ms. Lamber must have concealed her location." Upon hearing this, Henry grabbed his coat from the sofa and stormed out, "Prepare the car."
Assistant Cooper hurried after him, selecting a vehicle from the key cabinet.
"Sir, where to?" he asked as he picked out the keys.
"Instagram headquarters."
Half an hour later, a silver Porsche Cayenne pulled up outside the Instagram headquarters, greeted by a lineup of employees in business attire.
Assistant Cooper sprinted to open the car door, revealing shiny black leather shoes and crisply tailored trousers.
Henry stepped out and was quickly approached by the Operations Director. "Sir, your visit caught us off guard, and we were unprepared, but I am at your service."
Assistant Cooper handed the director a document, and Henry nodded slightly towards it, "I need the IP address of this user."
Relieved that it was merely about an IP address-given Henry's formidable arrival had hinted at a potential takeover.
The director opened the document, recognizing the influencer they had been encouraging to increase her live streaming presence for mutual benefit in traffic and revenue.
He closed the document with a smile and assured Henry, "Please, give me a moment, sir. I will have that information for you shortly."
The deputy director ushered Henry to a guest room, intending to offer him coffee, but Henry declined, "I'll leave once I find the person."

Shortly after, the director returned with a report, his expression uneasy, "Sir, fulfilling your request might be... challenging..."
Henry accepted the report and glanced over it, then fixed his eyes on the director.
Though his features were not particularly harsh, his eyes conveyed a fierceness shaped by years in the cutthroat North America, compelling respect.
The director, now visibly rattled, hastily explained, "We're not sure how she did it, but even our backend couldn't pinpoint her exact location. The report, however, outlines a general area." "That's enough." Henry collected the report and exited the headquarters.
As the Porsche's taillights faded into the distance, the director breathed a sigh of relief.
According to the report, the likely location was a small island. Henry immediately arranged for a helicopter and set off for Gadoloria Island without delay.
By evening, Giselle had concluded her live stream.
