Damien stared at the door from where Ryan left after comforting him. Sᴇaʀch Thᴇ ꜰindNʘvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

His lips twitched in a smirk.

“My boy doesn’t even know that I already know about my Princess’s plans.”

Smiling to himself, he casually strolled to the couch and pick up his white shirt.

“Emma, Emma. What should I do with you?” Damien sang while wiping the sweat from his neck and chest, “Just why can’t you give in? Do you think that fucking human will save you? How naive.”

He chuckled and shook his head when suddenly his eyes collided with his reflection on the round mirror hung on the wall. The golden specs blazing with rage, disappointment, and vengeance were glowering at him back.

“I can feel you Scar. After all, you love Emmaline as much I do.”

Hearing his heavy voice, the golden balls turned darker and fiercer. Damien quickly shifted his gaze to the wall or the glass would have shattered.

“You always forbade me to let her go. Protect her and rebuked me when all I wanted was to win her. But see the separation from her is painful for both of us.”

Damien knew Scar was torn when he came to know that Emmaline was replacing him. That’s why he decided to confront him today because it was easy for his wolf who continued advising him to move on when he himself can’t give up on his mate so easily.

Damien could hear him growling in his mind. The wheels in their head had taken a destructive turn. All they wanted at the moment was the blood of the bastard who snatched their mate.

“The feelings are mutual, pal.” Damien husked and tossed his shirt away before marching to the window. Opening the panes, he jumped from them.

Landing on the dried leaves, Damien took a large whiff of fresh air when the glittery streaks of the moon caressed his face making him look up.

Damien gazed at the sparkling wad in the dark canvas ferociously. His greyish orbs teemed with madness and pure rage.

“You chose her for me. You made her for me. You gave me the right to call her mine then you can’t take her away now.” His deep baritone echoed in the dark forest. A cold breeze swept his face and the rustling of leaves turned louder.

Damien even noticed that. He roved his gaze all around to pinpoint the oddity in the atmosphere.

“Don’t worry Buddy. Moon Goddess just permitted you to get our mate back.” Scar spoke in his mind to which Damien affirmed with a curt nod.

He then crouched on the ground and soon the sound of bones cracking echoed as the man morphed into a deadly beast.

Trampling the shredded pieces of Armani’s trousers that were lying all over the dried leaves, the furry beast let out a bone-chilling growl. His golden streaks gleamed in dark and eventually, he made a blind dash to the southern side of the forest to end this drama once and for all.

Reaching Stefanini’s Villa, Damien finally stopped and took a breather. Matteo’s house was around 25 miles away from his house which was in the middle of dense forests located on the outskirts of the city. Scar never liked staying dormant for so long that’s why Damien built his house where he can let his wolf out so that he can prance in the fresh air.

Damien was surprised to find so many huge trees around the villa. It should precisely be called a castle considering the giant sequoias surrounding the place. Perhaps, Mr. Stefanini was fond of greenery as much as he was.

Scoffing at his thoughts, Damien roamed his eyes around to find a perfect spot when he spotted a giant redwood located in the backyard. Damien had made a note of the risks involved in his mind because there was a high chance he could get caught. But for Emmaline, he was willing to walk on the edge of a sword.

With cautious steps, Damien somehow succeeded in breaching the security and hid behind the tree.

He then quickly transformed back to human form.

“I need to go inside.”

Damien quickly scanned his surroundings to find the field all clear. It was 2 at night when generally the world is in a deep slumber. Also, the darkness and thick, long trees gave him an advantage to meander.

Damien was pro when it comes to sneaking into his enemy’s den. His skills and perfect training gave him a hand as he succeeded in spotting the perfect hideout without getting caught.

There was a small loft over a large window located on the third floor. Damien quickly climbed on the humongous tree and landed there.

A smirk adorned his lips because he was just in front of David’s room where the Stefanini couple was involved in a hot debate. He decided to eavesdrop.

“You’ve lost your mind, Dave. Emmaline isn’t a human. I literally saw her running from Matt’s room and jumping from the third floor. She even climbed the boundary wall and landed on the road as if it was child’s play. Why can’t you JUST BELIEVE ME!!” Olivia raged and clutched the lapel of his coat making David narrow his gaze at her.

“Are you fucking stupid?“, he sneered at her face and yanked his coat out of her hold, “Just imagine how lucrative Emma is. She is a gem and I am telling you that girl will definitely swim in money in the future.” He said and flashed her a smirk.

Adjusting his glasses over the bridge of his nose, he chuckled, “My son will be marrying that prodigy. You’re right she isn’t human. I know I got a bit distracted by Damien Knight but after pondering for a while, I realized that how fruitful this marriage will be for my company. She will be my golden duck.”

Olivia groaned in frustration watching him smiling to himself.

Grabbing his shoulders, she wheeled him around and shouted, “All you care about is your business. I am telling you, David, Matteo isn’t going to marry that witch. If you don’t believe me then check the CCTV footage.”

“You won’t find anything there too, Mom.”

Their heads got snapped to the door hearing that dark voice.

“I deleted everything.”

Matteo sneered as he entered the room and closed the door behind him.

Damien’s eyes widened when he noticed the sinister look in his blue-green eyes. Only one thought came across his mind.

‘He is definitely not what he portrays in front of Emmaline.’

Olivia had enough. Pushing David away who stumbled in response, she marched towards Matteo and slapped him hard. Her actions came as a shock to both the son and father.

“You fucking idiot. I had only one way to prove myself and you erased that. And if you know the truth then why aren’t you defending me?” She spoke with tears brimming in her eyes.

Matteo balled his fingers in a fist. His throbbing cheek and her mother’s tears fuelled his rage. Turning his head to face her, Matteo stepped forward and grabbed her shoulders.

“Because I knew her truth before you, Mom.”
