Chapter 92 

Josephine said. “Mr. Haves, you’re a good person, but we’re not meant to be together” 

Even if she and Ragnar hadn’t agreed to marry, she had never thought about pursuing a relationship with Christopher. 

They were God’s favourites, and she did not belong in the same world as them. 

It was just an accident with Ragnar 

“Yes. Perhaps my destiny hasn’t arrived yet,” Christopher said. 

“There’s something I have to attend to, so I’ll be taking my leave first.” 

Josephine did not think it was necessary to stay. 

Just as she was about to turn around, Christopher’s voice sounded again. “Josephine, will you remain Yvette’s teacher?” 

“Of course!” Smiling. Josephine replied, “Mr. Hayes, as long as you don’t fire me, I’ll remain Yvette’s teacher.” 

“That’s good.” 

Josephine did not continue the conversation. She nodded at him and left the Hayes residence. 

Christopher let out a long sigh as he watched her retreating figure vanish from sight. 

It was a pity that such a good girl couldn’t be the mother of his child. 

“Daddy, where is Ms. Yeager?” Yvette asked as she came downstairs and did not see Josephine when she looked around. 

Christopher came back to his senses when he heard her voice. He turned around and picked up Yvette, then reached out to pinch the tip of her nose and said gently. “Ms. Yeager has left.” 

“Oh.” Yvette was visibly upset when she heard that Josephine had left. “Daddy, why did you let Ms. Yeager leave? She should have stayed here for dinner. This way, we can enhance our relationship.” Christopher felt sorry when he saw Yvette’s disappointed eyes. 

For a moment, he did not know how to tell her that Josephine had rejected his request. 

Christopher put Yvette on the couch and looked at her very seriously. 

He said, “Yvette, I have something to tell you, but you must promise me you won’t be sad after hearing it, okay?” 

Yvette couldn’t help feeling nervous when she heard his words. “Daddy, what is it?” 

Christopher said, “Yvette, Ms. Yeager said that she can’t be your mommy.” 

“Why?” Yvette’s face suddenly changed, and her eyes filled with tears. “Daddy, you’re lying to me, right? You promised that Ms. Yeager would be my 

mommy” 

Christopher had known that the little girl would become emotional. He wiped off the tears in her eyes and said in a very gentle voice, “Yvette, Ms. Yeager refused me. Since she has refused me, I can’t very well force her to agree, can I?” 

Although Christopher did not know if Yvette could understand it, he still tried to explain things to her.. 

“I don’t believe it. I’ll ask Ms. Yeager myself next time.” After saying that, Yvette fan back upstairs while crying. 

Christopher felt sorry when he saw how upset she was, but he did not know what to do. 

He could only shake his head helplessly. 

Casper, who had nothing to do that day, happened to pass by Ragnar’s company and approached him. 

He pushed open the door of Ragnar’s office without even saying hello. 

At that moment, Ragnar was busy with his work. He looked up at him and asked, “What’s the matter?” 

Casper said, “Can’t I come to you if I have nothing to say?” 

“Go ahead” Ragnar knew Casper’s personality. 

He knew that the other man wouldn’t come to him for no reason. 

“Okay. I really can’t hide anything from you.” Casper did not like to beat around the bush. He asked directly, “I heard that you’re helping your nanny suppress the boss of a small company. With your personality, I’d assumed that you would mind your own business” 

Hearing this, Ragnar stopped typing on the keyboard, He looked at Casper, and said, “I’m helping my woman. Don’t meddle in my business.” 

“What?” 

Casper was astonished and thought that he had misheard him. “Your woman? Who is it? Is it Josephine the nanny?” 

“Yes.” Ragnar did not deny it and nodded.

Upon hearing this, Casper couldn’t even say a word. He looked at Ragnar sorrowfully and said, “You went too far. How could you not tell me such an Important thing? Ragnar, don’t you consider me a close friend?” Casper felt heartbroken. 

He had fallen in love with Josephine at first sight and wanted to pursue her 

However, Christopher said that he wanted to marry Josephine as Yvette’s mother, so he could only let go of the feelings in his heart. 

Currently, Ragnar was telling him that Josephine was his woman. 

How could he accept it at this moment? 

Ragnar knew what Casper was thinking. He said, “It wasn’t the right time. I was planning to tell you eventually” 

“My heart hurts. Ragnar, you hurt my heart.” Casper covered his chest and said, “I’m going to cure my sorrows.” 

After saying that, Casper got up and left. 

His heart really hurt. Because of what Christopher said, Casper had given up the woman he liked. Now, he was directly given the opportunity by his good buddy. 

Ragnar knew that the two brothers of the Hayes family had thoughts about Josephine. It seemed that he had to find time to let everyone know about his relationship with Josephine. 

Thoughts of Josephine entered his mind as Ragnar pondered this matter. 

His mind was filled with thoughts of the delicate girl who had begged for mercy under him. 

At this, he couldn’t help but pick up his phone and dial Josephine’s number. 

Very quickly, Josephine’s clear voice sounded in his ear. “Ragnar, what’s the matter?” 

“Where are you?” Ragnar asked. 

“On my way home.” Josephine had said the word “home” naturally. 

Upon hearing this, Ragnar felt as if he were in a good mood. He glanced at the time and asked, “Where are you currently at?” 

Josephine looked out of the window and said, “Gerton Road.” 

“Get off!” Ragnar exclaimed. 

“What’s the matter? What happened?” Josephine asked in confusion, puzzled at why Ragnar suddenly asked her to get out of the bus. 

“I’ll pick you up and go home with you.” After saying that, Ragnar hung up the phone without giving Josephine a chance to speak. 

Josephine smiled. “Such a domineering man,” she thought. 

After arriving at the station, she got off the bus and sent Ragnar her location and waited for the latter to pick her up. 

About ten minutes later, a luxury car slowly rolled to a stop in front of Josephine. Following that, its passenger rolled down the window. 

Ragnar’s handsome face appeared. “Get in the car.” 

“Okay” Josephine nodded and got in the car. 

In the car, Ragnar uttered, “Christopher has withdrawn his help.” 

“I know. He told me,” Josephine replied. 

“Did you call him? Or did you meet him?” Ragnar asked directly, not hiding his displeasure at all. 

“He came back yesterday,” Josephine answered honestly. 

After hearing this, Ragnar’s face suddenly turned cold. “The matter could have been resolved with a phone call. Why did you meet with him?” 

Thinking of Christopher’s intention to marry Josephine, Ragnar objected to their meeting. 

Josephine was speechless. 

“Judging from Ragnar’s expression, why does it feel like he’s jealous? No. That’s not possible. Perhaps it’s because I’m his contractual wife. That’s why he’s not allowing me to be close to another man,” she thought. 

Apart from this reason, Josephine couldn’t figure out what Ragnar was thinking.
