Eager Nanny, Reluctant Wife

Chapter 80

Chapter 80

However, Yennefer had never thought that the relationship she had for so many years would be completely defeated..

“My son is fine! Why does he need a check–up? I think you’re colluding, with the doctor! That’s why you came back with a fake report!”

“Humph! You’re hopeless!” Then, Yennefer looked at Jonathan and said, “Let’s get divorced.”

Then, she turned around to enter her room. Jonathan quickly followed her, but the door slammed loudly before he could catch up with her.

“Yenny, I know I’m the one at fault here. Can you forgive me again? I really love you, so let’s not get divorced, okay? I can’t live without you.”

Jonathan twisted the doorknob and tried to get in, but Yennefer had already locked the door.

Yennefer remained unmoved no matter what Jonathan said, so she never opened the door for him.

“Jonathan, are you stupid? She’s incapable of having a baby. Why don’t you divorce her? Winnie’s pretty decent, isn’t she?”

Samantha fanned the flames from the side. She hoped that Jonathan would divorce Yennefer.

In any case, she wanted a grandchild.

As long as any woman was willing to give birth to a child for Jonathan, she would accept it.

Jonathan was already troubled by the situation, and yet Samantha insisted on making things worse. Hence, he was very annoyed.

He turned around to shoot her a glance all of a sudden. “Mom, why are you still talking about that at a time like this?”

He continued, “I won’t get a divorce no matter what.”

Samantha was furious. “Jonathan, what’s so good about Yennefer? Must you spend the rest of your life with her?”

“I love her, and I don’t want her to leave me.” Jonathan didn’t hide his feelings for Yennefer.

“I don’t care. No matter what, I want you to have my grandchild. After saying that, Samantha walked to the portrait of Jonathan’s late father while sobbing loudly. “Albert, I’m ashamed to face the Zimmerman family. To think that I can’t even secure a descendant for you… How will I ever face you in the afterlife?”

Jonathan was speechless.

He had a splitting headache at that time. Both Yennefer and Samantha were forcing him to make a decision.

It was as if he was forced into a dead end with nowhere to go.

After entering the bedroom, Yennefer couldn’t control her emotions anymore. Her tears started rolling down her cheeks like pearls cascading off a broken necklace.

She stubbornly covered her mouth and forced herself to not make a sound while crying.

Yennefer felt so wronged, as she had endured years of pressure coming from Samantha, but she never thought that the man who claimed to love her ended up betraying her.

She worked as much as she could just for the sake of this family, but this was the result that she received in the end.

Her heart was in so much pain.

“Aunt Yennefer, did Jonathan…”

Yennefer took a long breath while trying to recollect her thoughts.

She reached out to wipe away her tears while saying, “I’m fine, Josie. Don’t worry about me.”

Yennefer couldn’t hold herself back just now, so she ended up revealing her vulnerable side to Josephine.

Naturally, Josephine didn’t believe Yennefer’s words. “Aunt Yennefer, you don’t have to hide it from me. You’ve always been a strong woman, after all. Jonathan must be the one at fault, right? I’ll go deal with him right now.”

Josephine decided not to tell Yennefer about the video for now. She might not be able to handle the truth once she found out about it.

As Josephine spoke, she tried to leave the room, only for Yennefer to grab her. “Josie, don’t leave!”

“Aunt Yennefer, you’ve suffered too much in this place. Besides, Jonathan and his secretary are in an ambiguous relationship. There really is no need for you to insist on staying here.”

While Josephine spoke, she opened her bag and handed the property deed to Yenneler, “Aunt Yenneler, we have our own house now. You won’t have to stay here and get mistreated ever again.”

She continued, “Come, now. Let’s go home.”

Yennefer was shocked upon seeing the property deed in Josephine’s hands. She couldn’t believe the fact that Josephine had actually bought a house.

Both women had arrived in the living room while Yennefer was still reeling back from her shock.

Chapter 90

Upon noticing the women exiting the bedroom, Jonathan quickly approached them. His eyes were fixated on Yennefer as he said, “Yenny, this is all my fault. Can you please forgive me again? I promise I’ll cut off all ties with Winnie.”

“You still have the nerve to make promises! It’s impossible for Aunt Yennefer to forgive you!” Josephine dragged Yennefer angrily with the intention of leaving the house.

Jonathan blocked their way as he pleaded, “Josie, when a married couple gets into a fight, you’re supposed to advise them on how to stay together, not split them up! Do you really want to watch your aunt go through a divorce?”

Josephine sneered in response and said, “Aunt Yennefer will find herself a better partner once she leaves you.”

Once she was done speaking, she shoved Jonathan away and dragged Yennefer out of the house.

Jonathan wanted to follow them, but Samantha quickly stopped him. She said, “If she wants to leave, just let her leave. Winnie can take over her

spot.”

“Mom, I won’t marry Winnie ever! Yennefer is the one I love!” Jonathan exclaimed.

“What’s the use of loving her? Can she give birth to a baby? I don’t care! No matter what, you must procure a grandchild for me!”

The women walked farther and farther away until they could no longer hear Samantha’s voice.

Yennefer didn’t say a word inside the car. She looked like she was in an extremely bad mood.

Josephine’s heart wrenched in pain as she looked at her aunt.

She gently hugged Yennefer while patting her back comfortingly. “Don’t be sad, Aunt Yennefer. It’s relieving for you to leave that man.”

Yennefer took a deep breath before she suppressed all of her emotions. “I’m fine, Josie. Don’t worry about me.”

Now that things had already progressed to the point of no return, there was no use getting sad about them. It was impossible for Yennefer to pretend that nothing had happened..

She had already given Jonathan a chance. Since he didn’t repent, why must she stay in a broken marriage?

Since Jonathan wanted a child that much, Yennefer might as well grant his wish.

Josephine knew that Yennefer was pretending to be fine because she didn’t want her to worry.

She held her aunt’s hand tightly without saying another word. Just like that, she stayed by Yennefer’s side quietly.

Josephine could clearly feel Yennefer’s hand trembling the whole time.

The car continued speeding down the road. Half an hour later, it stopped in front of a building in a residential area.

Yennefer was very shocked when she realized that Josephine had bought a house in a bustling area.

This area was urban, so the housing prices here were definitely high..

Yennefer looked around the residential area’s surroundings instead of pelting Josephine with questions.

Once the house door was open, Yennefer couldn’t help but feel flabbergasted when she took in the brand–new interior furnishings.

She then closed the door behind her before taking Josephine’s hand while staring at her worriedly. “Josie, we’ve relied on each other for so many years. All this time, I’ve taught you that you should always work hard on your own no matter what. You shouldn’t take shortcuts just to achieve

success.”

Yennefer then continued, “Where did you obtain this much money to buy a house like this?”

Yennefer chose to keep her words vague. Since Josephine was a smart woman, she would definitely know what she meant.

They could remain poor, but they must never do things that would betray their principles.

“Don’t worry, Aung Yennefer. I’m pretty rich. Every cent that I earned is legitimate.”

Yennefer breathed a sigh of relief after hearing Josephine’s answer.

Josephine was the only family she had left in this world. There was no way Yennefer would let her take a wrong step in life.

She studied the furnishings and the layout of the house, as she knew that the house was definitely not cheap.

“The houses here aren’t cheap, are they?”

“The total price is 270 thousand dollars. I can always take out a mortgage.” Josephine answered truthfully.

“Wait, 270 thousand dollars?” Yennefer’s face was filled with disbelief. “It’s that cheap?”

The houses in this area had to be at least 450 thousand dollars.

“Yup!” Josephine knew that Yennefer would definitely be surprised after finding out the price.
