Chapter 37 

The old woman had a head full of silver hair, and although her face was filled with wrinkles, each wrinkle was kind and gentle. 

Her face was flushed and healthy looking 

However, at this moment, she looked as if she were dizzy. “Young lady, I don’t feel well.” 

Josephine was worried about the old woman. “Should I take you to the hospital?” 

The old woman man nodded. 

Josephine asked, “Can you stand up?” 

Shaking her head, the old woman replied, “I feel dizzy.” 

Josephine thought it over for a moment and suggested, “Then I’ll get a taxi.” 

Just as she was about to leave, the old woman grabbed her wrist and asked, “Young lady, what if I faint here alone while you aren’t here?” 

Josephine was speechless. 

She thought, “If I don’t call for a taxi, how am I supposed to send the old woman to the hospital?” 

“How about you carry me behind your back?” After saying that, the old woman man looked at Josephine and asked, “Are you disgusted at an old thing like me? Do you think I’m dirty and don’t want to carry me?” 

“Of course not.” 

Josephine was very kind. She had never felt disgusted when she encountered elderly people who picked up scraps. In fact, she would try to help them 

however she could. 

The old woman who stood before her was dressed cleanly. How could she possibly get Josephine dirty? 

“Okay.” Josephine squatted down in front of the old woman and carried her on her back. 

Josephine looked to be thin and weak, and she did not look particularly strong. However, she managed to carry the old woman securely. 

She walked to the roadside and raised her hand to hail a taxi. 

“To the hospital.” 

With that, she got the old woman to the hospital. 

The doctor did a checkup and declared that there was nothing wrong with her. 

“How could there be no problem?” 

The old woman looked at the doctor seriously and said, “I have severely low blood sugar and high blood pressure. Just moments ago, I felt dizzy and even fainted.” 

Following what the old woman said, the doctor gave her a checkup again. Then, he prescribed medicine for the old woman and told her to get it from the 

counter. 

However, the old woman did not bring money with her when she went out. 

Josephine took the medicine for her instead. 

“Thank you, young lady,” the old woman thanked Josephine profusely. 

When they left the hospital, the old woman looked at Josephine with bright eyes. “Aren’t you afraid that I’m a liar? Aren’t you afraid that you can’t get back the money you spent on the medicine?” 

“No.” Josephine smiled and said, “Madam is not a liar.” 

The old woman grew even fonder of Josephine, and her eyes shone brightly. She looked like a wolf staring at a little white rabbit. “What’s your name, young lady? I’m very thankful that you saved me. I’m telling you, I’m not an ordinary person. My grandson is even more extraordinary. He’s rich and 

handsome!” 

The old woman planned to let Josephine have her grandson because Josephine had given her candy, sent her to the hospital and paid for her medicine. 

Josephine was startled. 

She hurriedly refused, “Madam, I’m married.” 

“I see.” The old woman’s expression was meaningful as she looked at Josephine and said, “What a pity!” “But who are you married to, young lady? How did you come to know each other? Did you fall in love with each other yourselves or…?” 

The old woman was very interested in Josephine’s feelings. 

However, Josephine did not elaborate. 

Hence, the old woman had to give up. 

After that, she asked Josephine, “Young lady, are you sure your husband is as good as my grandson?” She grabbed Josephine’s hand and continued, “Why don’t you meet my grandson? He’s 28 years old and still very innocent and pure. I don’t know if he had ever held a woman’s hand, but I think he 

hasn’t had his first kiss…” 

The old woman tried hard to promote her grandson. 

She still insisted on her opinion. She told Josephine, “Young lady, I think my grandson is more suitable for you!” 

Josephine refused, “Madam, it doesn’t matter if the man I married isn’t as great as your grandson. He is my husband! Marriage is a big deal, not child’s play!” 

Inwardly, Josephine thought, “Well, my marriage with Ragnar is quite tricky.” 

“Madam, your grandson must be an excellent man. He will definitely meet a good girl who likes him and deserves his care for the rest of his life.” 

With that, she ended the topic. 

Seeing that the old woman was fine, Josephine prepared to leave. 

However, the old woman clung to Josephine and refused to let go. “Young lady, what if I faint again when you leave?” 

Josephine was once again speechless. 

The old woman looked at Josephine with bright eyes. “You should finish what you started. Send me back to my grandson’s house, young lady.” 

Josephine did not agree to it. 

When she saw the old woman faint, she immediately rushed over to help her, gave her candy, sent her to the hospital to see a doctor, and paid for her medicine. 

Those were acts of kindness. 

But the doctor had already said that the old woman was in good health, and she just tried so hard to promote her grandson. 

Josephine wasn’t about to act foolishly and send the old woman back to her grandson’s house. 

“Madam, you’re so old. Why did you come out alone? Besides, judging from your clothing, I don’t think you’re an ordinary lady. Why didn’t you bring 

your driver with you when you came out?” 

“It’s okay even if I didn’t bring someone with me.” 

Josephine said, “Give me your grandson’s phone number. I’ll call him and ask him to come over and pick you up.” 

The old woman frowned. She looked at Josephine and asked, “You can tell from 

my 

clothes?” 

When she came out today, she had clearly picked her most ordinary clothes! Her clothes were all custom–made, not branded. She thought, “This young lady should not recognize me!” 

“Yes, I could. Madam, I don’t have much money, but I used to study jewelry design. Although I don’t know much about clothing, I know about brands and could still tell that your clothes were custom–made. I still retain the most basic knowledge about fashion.” 

The old woman was a little surprised. 

Then, she smiled mischievously and asked Josephine, “Since you can tell that I’m not wearing simple clothes, you should know that my family is rich. Young lady, would you really not consider my grandson? You helped me, and I like you very much! If you can marry my grandson, I promise he will be nice to you!” 

Josephine also smiled in response. 

She was a beautiful woman. Thus, when she smiled, she became even more appealing. “Madam, I told you I’m already married. 

“Oh.” 

The old woman felt regretful. 

Later, when her driver came to pick her up, she still stared at Josephine reluctantly. After adding Josephine’s phone number and WhatsApp, only then was she willing to leave with the driver. 

Josephine chuckled. 

She thought the old woman she met today was quite interesting. The kindness and familiarity of the old woman reminded her of her own grandmother. 

“It’s been years…” Josephine’s eyes immediately turned red at the thought. 

She looked up at the sky and whispered in her heart, “Granddad, Granny, Mom, and Dad. How are you in Heaven?” 

When Josephine returned to the Levine mansion, she was shocked to see the old woman at the mansion. Her eyes widened in shock. “It’s you!”
