Chapter 106
Chapter 106
Hearing that, the two looked at her at the same time and asked, “Why not?”
Josephine answered, “Grandma Diana, Danny and Manny are very clingy to me. They will cry if they don’t see me for long.”
She had to use such a poor excuse to refuse.
Diana smiled after hearing Josephine’s answer and said. “It doesn’t matter. I’ve hired a professional nanny from Faulkay. I believe Danny and Manny will not take long to adapt.”
After a slight pause, she added, “At present, the most important thing for you and Ragnar is to quickly have a baby. You don’t have to worry about anything else.”
“But…”
Seeing Josephine’s resistance to this matter, Ragnar walked to her and put his arms around her shoulder. “No more buts. Grandma is right. We have been married for more than a year. It’s time for us to have a baby.”
Josephine could not say anything in reply.
Ragnar had already spoken, and it would be useless for her to say more.
In this case, she could only agree to it first.
After all, she might get their cover blown later if she continued to refuse.
She thought that Ragnar was only agreeing to this in order to cajole Diana first.
“Attaboy,” Diana said.
Ragnar would never give Josephine any chance to refuse.
In his opinion, his woman had to have a child for him.
Most importantly, he really wanted to have his own child with Josephine.
He even began to look forward to the scene of the child’s birth.
After dinner, Diana took the initiative to withdraw her presence to leave some space for the two of them.
Josephine felt particularly sad whenever the thought of Danny and Manny being sent to Muprary the next day appeared in her mind.
She had long regarded them as her own children after more than a year of caring for them.
“I don’t know when I will see them again now that they’re leaving,” she mused.
Thinking of this, Josephine decided to sleep with Danny and Manny that night.
She saw Diana inside as soon as she entered the children’s room.
“Josie, I’ll take care of them. You can start your holiday tonight and have a good chat with Ragnar.”
Diana guided Josephine out of the room as she spoke.
Josephine was rendered speechless by the old woman’s actions.
“Grandma Diana is so shrewd. I can only admit defeat,” Josephine thought.
Ragnar looked at her with a gloating expression when she returned to the bedroom. “I knew you’d fail. Don’t underestimate Grandma. She’s quite cunning.”
“I really can’t bear to leave Danny and Manny,” Josephine expressed her feelings honestly.
Ragnar approached Josephine and hugged her by the waist from behind. In a gentle voice, he then said, “Grandma is doing this to give us some space to be alone with each other.”
“Me taking care of the children has never affected our lives, has it?”
Josephine wanted to ask him why the children had to be sent away.
She almost asked but decided not to in the end.
After all, she and Ragnar were married in name only, and she was not the children’s biological mother. It was only normal for them to be sent away.
Although reluctant, she could only put aside her disappointment and pretended to be calm.
Ragnar did not agree with what she just said. “What do you mean our lives are not affected? It affects me, okay? I almost fall asleep every time you’re done tucking them into bed.”
Josephine was rendered speechless.

Chapter 106
“Danny and Manny sleep very early every day, all right? You’re really good at spouting nonsense without even blinking an eye,” she thought.
Josephine did not bother to argue with him and said. Tm going to sleep”
“It is indeed time to go to sleep.” Ragnar directly picked her up in a bridal carry.
His sudden action startled Josephine, as it caused her feet to suddenly leave the floor. “Ragnar, what are you doing?”
Instead of answering her. Ragnar asked rhetorically, “What do you think?”
“I don’t know,” Josephine answered, even though she already had an inkling at this time.
“I’ll tell you since you’re so keen on playing dumb. Ragnar’s cold yet pleasant voice rang in her ear as he whispered, “Grandma has a habit of eavesdropping.”
Josephine blushed when she heard that.
What Ragnar said was the truth.
She had already known it before.
Ragnar placed her gently on the bed and stared at her blushing face deeply before saying. “It seems that I didn’t work hard enough. That’s why you haven’t gotten pregnant yet.”
After a slight pause, he continued, “I have to work harder once Grandma takes Danny and Manny with her to Muprary
tomorrow.”
Josephine’s eyes widened, and she stared at Ragnar in disbelief.
Ragnar had always been aloof, but he seemed to have changed into a different person when he said those words to her.
“Won’t his subordinates be so shocked that they’re rendered speechless for a long time if they find out this side of him? I bet they’d think they’re dreaming. Josephine mused.
“Don’t be distracted Ragnar’s deep voice once again rang in her ear.
The warmth of his breath disrupted her thoughts.
The moonlight was just right, and the scenery also rendered a completely artful atmosphere perfectly.
The scene that could not be spoken of in polite company was on full display in the bedroom.
The helicopter from Muprary arrived early the next morning and hovered over the mansion.
Danny and Manny seemed to be aware of what was going on and cried incessantly. They kept asking for Josephine to hold. them.
“Danny, Manny, please stop crying. I am taking you guys home to see your grandparents. They miss you so much. Diana said gently.
However, Danny and Manny still cried heavily no matter what she said to them.
Their cries tore Josephine’s heart.
In the end, the twins were still led to board the helicopter despite their cries.
Josephine could no longer control her tears from falling when the helicopter took off.
Ragnar held her in his arms and let her tears fall on his clothes.
He, who had mysophobia. did not find Josephine’s tears dirty at all. Instead, he comforted her, saying, “Don’t cry. You can go visit them in Muprary at any time if you miss them”
Josephine was really a good woman. She took care of Danny and Manny for only more than a year, yet she wept sorrowfully when they left
Josephine slowly calmed down after laying her head on Ragnar’s chest and crying for a while.
Only their did she realize that she had lost control of her demeanor and also stained Ragnar’s shirt with her tears.
“I’m sorry for dirtying your clothes. Take them off, and I’ll wash them for you,” she said apologetically.
Josephine had always known that Ragnar had mysophobia.
“There’s no need for that.”
“But don’t you have-”
“Thave no mysophobia if it’s you, Ragnar interrupted, knowing what she was going to say.
“Oh…”
Josephine did not know how to respond to Ragnar’s words.

Chapter 106
The living room was empty, and there was no more Danny’s and Manny’s voice calling her “Mommy.” Josephine felt that something seemed to be missing from her heart.
“I still have something to deal with at the company, so I’ll go there first,” Ragnar said after looking at the time.
“Okay.” Josephine nodded.
It seemed that she had been thinking of something because the moment when Ragnar turned around, she said, “Ragnar, 1 think I’d better find another part–time job since Grandma already took Danny and Manny to Muprary.”
She could never stay idle and always had to be doing something.
“No, and this is not negotiable!” Ragnar refused directly.
“Why?”
Josephine was quite puzzled.
“I can afford to take care of you” Ragnar turned and left the mansion after saying that.
Josephine also left for work not long after Ragnar left.
Ragnar came back a little late at night. He had drunk some wine and was slightly tipsy.
He pushed the door of the bedroom open and saw Josephine’s messy sleeping posture.
She was wearing a nightdress that night and was holding the blanket with one of her feet resting on top of it. Her legs, which were as fair as porcelain, shone under the moonlight.
