Defeating My Ex-Husband by Tracy Estrada ( Colton Zeller )

Chapter 19

Chapter 19 Homewrecker

On Twitter, the topic of Elsa’s pregnancy had surged to the top of the trending list.

Following closely behind was another topic about a homewrecker from the Beckman family.

Francesca furrowed her brows and clicked on the second topic.

As it turned out, unbeknownst to them, the scene of Colton carrying Francesca away the previous day had been inadvertently captured by someone at that precise moment. The angle of the photograph was subtle yet poignant, capturing Elsa’s forlorn expression as she clutched her belly, clearly sorrowful and resentful as she watched them depart.

Although her face wasn’t directly exposed in the photo, the blurry side profile revealed quite a bit. Anyone who looked closely enough could recognize her.

The topic was filled with foul and abusive language, and the netizens were brimming with hostility.

Unbelievable! Do homewreckers truly possess the audacity to openly engage in such behavior nowadays? How dare they do this right in front of the wife

May misfortune befall the mistress and her entire family

Doesn’t this woman look like the daughter of the Beckman family? So even daughters of rich families are so desperate for men, huh

After finishing his phone call, Yoel returned just in time to see Francesca reading the comments. His heart skipped a beat in fright. “What are you doing?”

He quickly stepped forward and snatched her phone, saying, “I’ve already had someone dismiss the trending topics. What’s the point of reading those ignorant netizens‘ comments? They don’t know anything.”

When confronted with a sudden onslaught of harsh words and criticisms, Francesca initially felt taken aback. But she quickly regained her

composure.

Seeing Yoel so worried about her, Francesca could only console him, “They’re just strangers; their words won’t affect me that much.”

!!

Upon reflection, is this any graver than the events I’ve experienced throughout all these years?

Yoel then nodded. “Don’t worry. I’ll take care of this matter.”

Sure enough, it didn’t take long for the trending topic to be suppressed, and Francesca’s photos were no longer on the list of trending topics.

Before Yoel could catch his breath, the sharp ringtone of his phone pierced the air, demanding his immediate attention.

“Elsa posted on Twitter.”

Yoel’s face was terribly gloomy. If he couldn’t discern that Elsa was doing this deliberately, then he would be a fool.

Taking the phone from Yoel, Francesca logged into Twitter again.

ElsaLarsonV: I didn’t expect this eitherThey’ve been friends for a long time, so maybe it’s not what everyone thinks. Don’t jump to conclusions

While it appeared as though Francesca was speaking up for Francesca and Colton, the reality was that her words only served to further ignite the emotions of netizens.

Chapter 19 Homewrecker

Despite concerted efforts to suppress the trending topic, the criticisms. from netizens persisted, eventually propelling it back to the top. In fact, more people started to fabricate seemingly plausible news and spread it on the internet, subjecting Francesca to insults from everyone.

Soon, the news about Francesca being the daughter of the Beckman family was dug up by netizens. As a result, the stock price of the Beckman family’s company plummeted.

Surprisingly, the Zeller family wasn’t affected much.

Upon seeing the situation, Francesca sneered. “Trying to pick on the weak, huh?”

She stopped Yoel, who almost smashed his phone in anger, and calmly said, “Let them curse away. The bigger the controversy, the better.”

Upon seeing her calm demeanor, Yoel found himself calming down quite a bit. He had always known that Francesca was not someone who spoke without evidence. “Do you have proof in your hands?”

Francesca sneered. “They did everything in broad daylight back then. I have countless pieces of evidence.”

At that moment, the Beckman family called.

“Francesca! You d*mn-” a vicious voice cursing Francesca out came through the phone. Unfazed, Francesca calmly placed her phone on the table beside her. Only when the voice inside stopped did she leisurely pick it up again.

As expected, the voice speaking from the other side was that of a middle- aged man.

“Francesca, you left the country without a word back then, and now that you’ve returned, you’re causing such a massive commotion! I don’t care if

you resort to apologizing on your knees or some other way, but you must immediately seek Ms. Larson’s forgiveness! Otherwise, I’m going to teach you a lesson!”

In response to her father’s words, Francesca found herself unable to contain her laughter, rather than succumbing to anger. “Aren’t you the one who knows best what really happened back then? Why don’t you go ahead. and clarify it?”

“Are you insane?!” Chandler exclaimed angrily, “To clarify things at this moment would risk openly offending the Zeller family!”

At this point, his voice softened a bit, “If you go and apologize now, I will still let you be the daughter of the Beckman family. Otherwise…”

“Well, I guess I won’t have that title anymore.” Francesca sarcastically laughed as she hung up the phone and promptly added the number to her blacklist.

Yoel looked at Francesca with concern. “Are you all right?”

Francesca shook her head, “Their words won’t affect me.”

She had long lost hope in the Beckman family. Moreover, after learning the truth about that incident, the only emotion she had for them that remained was disgust.

With a calm demeanor, she made several phone calls and prepared all the necessary documents.

On the other hand, Elsa couldn’t help but almost burst into laughter when she saw the netizens furiously insulting Francesca.

Francesca’s reputation had gone down the drain lately. Even if Colton did clear her name later, what difference would it make?

Netizens would only remember her as a homewrecker; they would not believe any clarifications.

“Discreetly leak the information about Francesca. It’ll be best if you can even reveal her address,” Elsa instructed her manager with a cold smile.
