Chapter 18
Chapter 18 We Miss You So Much
Ultimately, Francesca was awakened by the sound of an incoming video. call.
“Hello?”
“Mommy is such a sleepyhead; she’s still not up yet!” came the child’s voice, instantly sobering Francesca up.
A gentle smile graced her lips. “Why haven’t you gone to sleep yet?”
Yawning lazily as she sat up in bed, Francesca glanced at the time and realized it had to be evening time at Daprein. Without needing to give it much thought, she knew the two little troublemakers had to have insisted on calling her, which was why they had not gone to bed yet.
With watery eyes, the chubby–cheeked Luna stared at the screen and said, “Mommy, when can we finally meet? I miss you so much!”
Francesca felt her heart nearly melt as she gazed into her daughter’s eyes. She said softly, “At most, one month. Then, I’ll come to see you, all right?”
A hint of disappointment flashed through Luna’s deer–like eyes, but she still agreed to it in her soft voice.
After witnessing his sister conclude her conversation with their mother, Lukas, who had been seated nearby, approached them. As soon as he spoke, his commanding demeanor resonated in his voice. “Did you run into any trouble over there? Do you need me to step in and help?”
Francesca couldn’t help but burst into laughter, but she understood Lukas very well. “Don’t worry. I can handle the issues here. If there’s anything tricky, I’ll ask for your help, all right?”

Lukas nodded, “Mhm.” At four years old, he was already acting like an adult, determined to take care of his mother and sister.
After chatting with the two children for a while, Francesca reluctantly hung up the video call.
No sooner had the video call ended than Marcus called: “Ms. Shelley, Mr. Zeller is away on business, and the projects of our two companies will be temporarily taken over by the deputy CEO of Zeller Group.”
Recalling the various events that took place last night, Francesca sneered. “In that case, we only need to send our deputy CEO.”
Marcus faintly sensed that there might be some conflict between the two, but he simply agreed.
After Francesca finished settling the company’s affairs, someone knocked on the door of Francesca’s apartment again.
Despite having only arrived in the country the previous day, numerous individuals were already seeking Francesca that morning. She felt exasperated at that.
She opened the door. Sure enough, it was an angry–looking Yoel.
“That rascal Colton!”
Reflecting on how Francesca had been taken away right under his own nose the previous night, Yoel found his heart swelling with a potent mixture of hatred and irritation. Consumed by anger, Yoel found himself delivering a harsh lesson to his own bodyguards for their failure to prevent the incident.
He carefully observed Francesca’s expression and asked, “He didn’t do anything to you last night, did he?”

Francesca’s smile faded slightly. “What can he do to me? Colton is the high and mighty master of the Zeller family.”
Both Elsa and the Francesca of the past had been nothing but accommodating toward him.
Everything that happened last night was merely due to his unwillingness to accept the change in his own attitude.
Yoel noted that Francesca seemed fine and finally breathed a sigh of relief. “Haven’t you seen today’s trending news? The whole internet knows about Elsa’s pregnancy now, Colton has no other choice but to marry her.”
As he spoke, he took out his phone to show Francesca. As soon as he opened it, he cursed, “D*mn! Where did this fake news come from?”
He quickly put away his phone and repeatedly said to Francesca, “Some idiots are spreading rumors online. Don’t look at it for now; I’ll handle it.”
After saying that, he walked to the window with his phone in hand, frowning as he made a call.
Despite Yoel’s typically unruly demeanor in front of her, one could not disregard the fact that he was the designated heir of the Zabielski family. He would not be so easily fazed.
After pondering for a moment, Francesca took out her phone and glanced
at it.
