Chapter Reunion

"What was it all for? The violence, the bloodshed, the loss, the hatred, the anger, the sadness?" Lumina asked.

"Those actions were yours, and yours alone, Lumina" Abyssia replied, as the two sat surrounded by a white void.

"Not quite true, sister" Lumina frowned. "You will claim your high horse, that you never fell to vengeance like I did, but you manipulated them, turned them against each other, what was that for?" She asked.

"To prepare the world for what was to come" Abyssia shrugged.

"Really? The wars were to prepare the world for the coming of the end? I doubt that" Lumina shrugged. "If you ask me, you got too involved with the humans, lost sight of your goal and lost yourself in the building of nations and power. You looked down on me, but I never had those aspirations. I had Utopia, that was my realm, and it was peaceful, we never wanted war" Lumina replied.

"In the end though, you couldn't escape it, and the Elder Ones exploited your weaknesses, and burned your city to the ground. Instead of blaming yourself, you blamed the world, and burned a streak of anger across the lands. You didn't help mankind prepare for the end, instead you inadvertently prepared the stage for the coming of the Elder Ones" Abyssia shook her head.

"We both made mistakes, and we both sought redemption, but in the end, we achieved nothing, we slew our creators and laid waste to the lands" Lumina sighed as she bowed her head.

"That doesn't have to be the end, dear sister" Abyssia said, with a hint of a smile across her face. Lumina looked to Abyssia, who now held her hand out toward her sister. "How about one more time, for old times sake?" She winked. Lumina smiled as she reached her hand out for Abyssia's, as their hands touched a shockwave tore through the white void, as the souls of Lumina and Abyssia slowly began to merge.

"I'm sorry, for everything" Lumina frowned.

"As am I" Abyssia bowed her head, and smiled at Lumina.

"Reunion"
