Chapter 14 - DIFFERENT AURA
The ride back home was slow. Audrey had refused to step on Via Kai's command. Thirty minutes later, we arrived at Kai's mansion. Exhausted, I didn't wait for Audrey, I got out, taking my bags with me.
"That's all for tonight, Audrey. Thank you," I said, walking into the mansion. The door opened, and I got in, looking around.
"Mrs Winson, you're home," Mrs Jacobs said. I groaned as she took my bag from me.
"I am exhausted and hungry-" My words faded into thin air, and my eyes widened. "That's good, I made you dinner," Kai said. He wore a white shirt and black Jordan.
I was speechless, looking around. Kai made me dinner. I never thought he would be doing this willingly. There was something about his moves, and he behaved.
The dinner went well. I sat there without a word. Kai did the same. I had no idea if it was because of what happened back at the Nursing Home, but I believed it to be.
I thanked him for the food and offered to do the dishes, but he refused and shunned me to my room.
The next morning, I yawned, stretching, I rolled over to the table, groaning. I had a perfect sleep after that warm bath.
I sat on my bed for a while, processing what to do. As Kai's wife, I didn't have much on my schedule. I wasn't permitted to work without his permission.
I rolled the sheets over and walked to the bathroom, where I brushed and showered. I took a good bath, applied my skincare, and finished up with some makeup before I finally decided on what to wear out today. Once I was done putting on a pink short dress, I walked towards the window and gazed at the area. There wasn't any gardener, maid, or anyone walking around. The mansion was so quiet that it regularly is.
I opened my room door, and a small scream escaped my lips along with a shiver down my spine, I held onto my chest, panting heavily. I held my knees, bending as I tried to catch my breath.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you," Kai said. I looked up at Kai, and he unfolded his arms, standing firm, staring at me.
"What are you doing outside my bedroom?" I questioned. Kai cleared his throat and straightened his stans.
I looked to his side and found a traveling box. Oh, was he going to travel for work? But he usually doesn't tell me, what's all this now?
"Are you leaving today? But, Kai, why are you telling me? I usually find out after you—"
"Tiffany, this isn't a business trip. Go into your bedroom and grab a few things you will need. You're coming with me," He said, looking down at me with such cold eyes.
"What? What do you mean?"
"Or you can come with me. Mrs Jacobs would get your things later."
He proceeded to grab the box handle, rolling away. I caught his wrist. Accessing him head to toe. He wore a beige trouser and a white shirt. My eyes fell to his wrist where Her wristwatch sat. I gulped. That's one of the most expensive wristwatches.
"Kai," I stood, letting go of his arms as he stared deeply at my hands wrapped around his.

"Oh," I gulped as I had forgotten what I wanted to say. Damnit, I scanned my head for the words, but he smiled.
"You asked for this. Don't you remember? The vacation you wanted,"
My eyes widened. Yeah, I did. But we never discussed it further due to our schedules.
"I picked the country and made some arrangements, trust me you'd like it."
"Okay, you did. What about the tickets, my tickets, the booking," my eyes farted around as I couldn't process everything he was saying.
"Love, do you want this or not?"
I blinked, and slowly I nodded. "Yes, of course," why won't I?
"Then all you have to do is follow my lead."
"What country?"
"You'll figure it out," He said, walking away with his traveling box.
"Kai! Wait, my stuff, give me a few minutes. Hold on, I need more than a few minutes, I need so many things."
"Okay, grab them then, I've got your passport already, grab a little. Mrs Jacobs would get you the rest."
I stared at home for a while before asking the dumbest question I shouldn't have asked a billionaire. "And my clothes? How the fuck would she pack my underwear?"
Kai's gaze locked in mine, and my eyes danced around his face until he took out his card which I noticed to be black. Shamefully, I walked past him, I wasn't able to pack anything again. Soon, we arrived at the airport, and once I got down, I stared at the jet that boldly screamed Kai Winson.
Wait, hold on. This was my first vacation with Kai, I had never left the country before, and this was my first time. Also, my first time with him.
"This... You're flying a private?"
"This is mine, ours," he shrugged, gently took my hands walking towards the jet. There were men and women in black suits waiting, and I found Audrey and Peter among the crowd.
"Mr Winson?" A lady smiled at him, but her gaze met mine, and her smile faded.
We walked up the staircase, and finally, I stepped foot into a private jet for the first time in my life. My head was spinning, I didn't realize this was how vacation worked for billionaires. It was so different from the middle class or lower. It was built differently, I glanced around and it was quite different from what I had always imagined.
"What would you like, Mr Winson?" It was the lady from before, she still glared at me.
Kai looked at me, "Would you like anything?" He asked.
"No. Oh, yes. A glass of water. By the way," I looked at the lady, who frowned directly at me. "It's Mrs Winson," I tilted my head with an amused smile.
