Chapter 118
I was
in my room, my mind racing with thoughts that refused to make sense.
The events of the past 24 hours were threatening to drive me insane, it was like the world had turned upside down or something. Aston, the same man who had saved me from Dax’s clutches just yesterday, had transformed into a villain overnight. Was he losing his mind or was I? I understood that it could have been infuriating, what happened yesterday but this? Ignoring me like this just made no sense. Hell, nothing made sense!
I tried to sit down, to calm myself, but my body wouldn’t cooperate. My legs trembled with rage, my hands clenched into fists. I couldn’t shake off the feeling of betrayal, of being manipulated.
I thought about the port he had blown up, the lives he had put at risk. I thought about the way he had looked at me, he had spoken to me. It was like he had flipped a switch, transforming from hero to villain in the blink of an eye.

I was tired of trying to deal with on my own when he was the cause of it. I headed straight to his room, determined to confront him. I didn’t know what I would say, what I would do, but I knew I had to face him. The door swung open, and I stepped inside, my heart pounding in my chest,
Aston looked up, his eyes narrowing as he took in my expression. He knew I was angry, but he didn’t flinch, didn’t look like he gave two s**ts either. He just sat there, his jaw set, his eyes flashing with anything but concern.
“What do you want, Kira?” he asked, his voice low and even.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. “I want to know what’s going on,” I said, my voice shaking. “I want to know why you did what you did.”
Aston sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Kira, I don’t think I owe you an explanation,”
“You don’t? After all that **it that went down and what the hell it is you’re doing now?” I laughed, a bitter sound. It I was being logical, he didn’t owe me an explanation but I was way past being logical.
Aston’s eyes flashed with anger, but I didn’t back down. I needed to know what-was going on, why he had changed so suddenly even if I had to annoy it out of him. His ignorance was killing me, there was only so much of it I could take before officially going crazy.
“I think I’ll leave now.” I heard a tiny voice say and turned my head to see Sophia in the corner. She scurried out of the room like a thief caught in the act, gathering her belongings with a haste that was almost comical. I had been too consumed by my anger to even notice she was there, but now her sudden departure only added fuel to the fire.
with you, Aston?” I demanded, my voice echoing off the walls. “First, you blow up a port, then you treat me like a prisoner, and now you’re…you’re…I don’t even know what you’re doing! You’re like a completely different person!” Aston’s face twisted in a scowl, his eyes flashing with anger. “I’m trying my best to ignore whatever this behaviour is. Don’t get me mad. Kira”
“Why not? You’re going to bring in more wh***es if I do?” I laughed, a harsh sound. “Or you’re going to ignore me like did earlier?”
Aston’s eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched. “I’m really trying hard to keep it together Kira. I’m trying not to kill you.”
“Why would you try, it’s not like I’m useful to you anyway Just do it and get it over with
you
Aston sighed. running a hand through his hair. He really did look like he was trying to keep bus cool. What if I died thanks to roy inability to shut the f***k up?
Aston’s eyes dropped, and for a moment, I thought I saw a glimmer of uncertainty: But then his jaw set and he looked up at me, his eyes flashing with determination.

Chapter 118
“If your plan is to get yourself killed then I promise to disappoint you because I still have a lot to put you through.”
As we continued to argue, Aston’s face twisted in a scowl, his eyes blazing with rage. He started to inch closer, his movements slow and deliberate, like a predator stalking its prey. I could see the anger building in his eyes, and my confidence started to falter. I began to wonder how I had ever found the courage to confront him in the first place. What the f**k was I even on? Being in the same house with him, just the two of us seemed to have made me forget how scary he could.
bc.
Blowing up the port should have been enough of a reminder but I guess I never learn.
Aston’s eyes flashed with anger, and he took another step closer I backed up, my heart racing, as I realized how much trouble I was in. My back hit the wall, and I felt my heart about to rip out of my chest. I was trapped.
“You’re pushing me, Kira,” he growled. “You’re pushing me to do things I don’t want to do.”
“I’m not pushing you,” I said, trying to keep my voice steady. “I’m just standing up for myself. I’m just trying to be free.” Aston’s face twisted in a snarl, and he took another step closer. I was trapped, with no way out. I was at his mercy, and I knew it. I should have made better choices.
“You’re not free, Kira,” he spat. “You’re mine. And you’ll do what I say.”
Aston’s hands were everywhere, his fingers tracing paths on my skin that made me shiver. He was so close, his breath whispering against my ear, sending shivers down my spine. I was trapped, unable to move, unable to look away from the man who had me in his grasp. The man who had me making decisions that could take my own life and clouded my thoughts like a f**g fog.
His hand caressed my neck, his fingers gentle, yet possessive, 1 felt a surge of fear, mixed with a thrill of excitement. I didn’t want to be in this situation, but a part of me couldn’t help but respond to his touch. My thighs were wet as hell and I just wanted him to touch other places.
The other hand traced a path along my neckline, stopping between my breasts. I felt my heart racing, my breath coming in short gasps. I was struggling to get myself out of this situation, but my body seemed to have other ideas.
Aston’s eyes locked onto mine, his gaze burning with intensity. I couldn’t look away, couldn’t peel my eyes off the man I hated and loved at the same time. The man I wanted to kill, also the man I wanted to save.
“You’re so beautiful, Kira,” he whispered, his voice husky with desire. “So strong, so fierce, if only you were a little brighter your life would have been so much better.”
1 swallowed hard, trying to find my voice. “Aston, stop,” I whispered, trying to sound firm.
But he just smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. “You don’t want me to stop, Kira,” he said, his voice low and confident. “You want me to keep going. That’s why you came here in the first place.”
I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts. But Aston’s hands were still on me, still touching me, still making me feel- things I didn’t want to feel.
“No” I said, trying to sound firm. “I don’t want this.” But it was a lie. I wanted it. I wanted every bit of it
Aston’s eyes narrowed, his grip on me tightening. “Don’t lie to mie. Kira,” he said, his voice low and menacing. “I know you ward this: 1 kaow you want me
Let me go, I demanded, trying to keep my voice steady.
Hut Aston just laughed, his breath hot against my ear. “You don’t want me to let you go, kira,” he said. “You want me to hold you to keep you safe.
1 felt a surge of anger, mixed with a thrill of excitement I didn’t know what I wanted, but I knew Aston came with the
“Stop playing games with me.” I said, trying to sound firm but it was an epic fail. My voice came out in short ragged breaths.
I was already struggling to catch my breath when out of the blue, Aston’s lips crashed onto mine, his kiss fierce like he wanted to devour me. I was shocked. But as his tongue swept into my mouth, I felt my shock melt away, replaced by a hunger that matched his own.
I kissed him back. my lips parting to allow him easier access. His arms wrapped around me, pulling me close as he deepened the kiss. I felt like I was drowning in him, like he was sucking me whole.
Aston’s hands roamed my body, his fingers tracing paths on my skin that made me shiver.
I wanted more. I f***g wanted more!
