Cherry Dryad ( gxb )

Chapter 10

“I'm begging you, stop! Enough!,” Vivienne screamed at the top of her lungs to break through the stupid wind that accompanied them at that time.

Which wasn't as easy as she thought, because the wind was getting stronger every moment. She was slowly starting to lose hope that she would be able to stop Kasumi before the wind suddenly decided to die down for some unknown reason. As if Vivienne's words had finally reached their intended recipient. And right after the wind died down, she heard the pink haired thud and the screams of two people she hated. Which meant that Kasumi must have finally heard Vivienne say it, because he had no other explanation for it. Because if it were otherwise, she didn't even want to know what would happen next. Just the thought made Vivienne feel weak and in a moment she would fall to the floor, which, as we all know, she didn't want to do. As she was sinking to the ground, regardless of the comments from Madeleine and Dustin's sides, she felt someone grab her. Hence, her eyes were currently closed and she couldn't see who the person was.

“I almost got carried away, sorry!,” after a while, Vivienne heard a familiar voice close to her.

A voice that belonged to none other than Kasumi himself! It was no wonder that as soon as she heard his voice, Vivienne opened her eyes again. And her eyes slowly fell on her savior's face, which had a faint smile on it.

“Whatever you say, it's lucky that I managed to reach you verbally in time! Also, thank you for saving me!,” Vivienne replied after a while, with a slightly moved tone of voice, and after a while she freed herself from his embrace.

Especially since if she hadn't started talking to him in time, it was certain that the two of them would have lost their lives. And then, neither she nor he would be laughing! Only then did she realize that the two of them still hadn't left this place. Which she thought was quite strange, because any normal person would run away if given the opportunity. At this time, Kasumi only turned his head a little, like those prairie dogs, not really understanding what she meant. And why was she angry at him now, because he hadn't done anything wrong? If he didn't do it, they might even hurt her, because that was about to happen.

However, after a while he gave it up because he was well aware that this was not the right place for further conversation. Especially since he had to get rid of those two so that they would never bother her again. Just by looking at them, Kasumi could conclude that they were not the type of people who would leave alone. Hence he had to treat them this way because Vivienne was too gentle to stand her ground.

“You're absolutely right about that, if it weren't for you, they would probably be gone,” Kasumi commented after a while, at the same time admitting Vivienne was right and not minding that she escaped from his embrace.

Vivienne just sighed heavily at the sound of his words, and after a while she focused on Madeleine and Dustin.

“And you just figured it out now?,” Vivienne asked after a while, raising one eyebrow as she said the question.

“It's good that it's now, and not when it would be too late,” Kasumi remarked after a while.

“You're absolutely right about that... So what do we do with those terrified two?,” changing the subject of Vivienne along the way, because there was no way they were going to let them spill the beans about her being a witch and all that.

As soon as Vivienne had uttered her last words, the two of them finally regained the use of not only their limbs, but also their mouths.

“Don't come close to us or we'll call the police!,” Dustin roared after a while, hiding Madeleine behind him.

At this point, Kasumi and Vivienne looked at each other with a question mark written on their faces. Because no matter how you look at it, they didn't move from their current position and didn't plan to do so for the next dozen or so minutes. That doesn't mean that Kasumi couldn't easily do something to them without moving from his seat, just like he did earlier.

“Yeah... I should probably call her because you're the ones harassing me, and not the other way around!,” Vivienne announced after a while with irony audible in her tone of voice, while holding her hands on her sides.

With no intention of allowing them to intimidate her, which was clearly what they were planning. No wonder Madeleine and Dustin didn't really know how to respond to Vivienne's words. This is because they did not expect that Vivienne would stand up to them, which, as we know, they did not take into account at all. Kasumi just smirked at their stupid expressions.

“You've got to be kidding me?,” Madeleine asked after a while, not really wanting to believe that Vivienne was capable of this.

“I wasn't kidding when I said I would do it!,” Vivienne replied after a while to the question asked by Madeleine.

To take her backpack after a while, to take out her cell phone, because that was the only way she could do it. At this sight, fear appeared on the faces of Madeleine and Dustin, who did not like it very much.

“Relax, we can still come to an agreement on this!,” Dustin joined the conversation after a while, trying to somehow stop Vivienne from what she wanted to do.

At this point, Vivienne looked up from her backpack towards where her ex-boyfriend's voice was coming from. However, she didn't say a single word, but in response, she took out her cell phone and decided to unlock it.

“I really don't see that you two can agree on this!,” Kasumi announced after a while, in Vivienne's place, and then snapped his fingers.

“W-what are you doing?,” Vivienne squealed after a while, right after she realized what Kasumi was doing.

Kasumi then placed his hand on her shoulder before speaking, “Relax, they'll stop bothering you from now on!”

Although back then he didn't expect how the pink-haired girl would perceive his words. At that moment, Vivienne's heart jumped into her throat again. And the worst thoughts possible flashed through her mind. Kasumi just sighed at Vivienne's train of thought, which he wasn't at all surprised about.

“You probably don't…,” Vivienne didn't have time to finish what she was saying because Kasumi interrupted her.

“Don't worry, I didn't plan to kill them! I just changed their memory a bit so they'll leave you alone!,” Kasumi explained after a while, at the same time saying a word to Vivienne.

“Really?,” Vivienne asked after a while, not really trusting his word and focusing her eyes on him.

“See for yourself!,” Kasumi replied after a moment, while he removed his hand from her shoulder and pointed at the two of them.

“You're welcome…,” Vivienne said after a while and, with a slightly beating heart, she turned her gaze to where Dustin and Madeleine were.
