Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)

Chapter 763

"I'm not hiding anything from you. Rose, I'm going to wash my face in the bathroom. Please wait a moment."

Sebastian walked into the bathroom, seemingly avoiding her.

At that moment, the doctor entered the ward. "Mrs. Carter, how are you feeling?"

Rosalie replied, "I'm doing well, doctor. Thank you for saving my baby."

"It's our duty," the doctor said. "It was your husband who made all the decisions."

"My husband?" Rosalie glanced at the bathroom door, and asked, "By the way, Seb told me that there were some complications during the surgery, and it lasted for several hours. What happened?" "This is what happened," the doctor explained everything to Rosalie.

After he finished, Rosalie's face turned pale with shock.

So it meant that her going out might have affected the baby, leading to the complications during the surgery? Moreover, Sebastian had honored his promise to her, striving to save the baby and not opting for abortion.

Rosalie sighed deeply with relief. It had been right to trust him. Sebastian was indeed trustworthy.

"Mrs. Carter, it's evident that your husband endured a lot of suffering. Please don't blame him."

Hearing the doctor's words, Rosalie smiled. "How could I blame him? I'm actually grateful. I appreciate that he made this decision. Otherwise, if I had woken up and found my baby gone, I wouldn't have been able to go on."

Seeing Rosalie in tears, the doctor quickly pulled out a tissue and handed it to her.

"Don't cry. You need to rest now. I believe that your husband will take good care of you. You don't know, but when he heard the surgery was successful, he collapsed on the ground, crying and laughing at the same time. He looked almost mad. He really loves you. In all my years of practicing medicine, I've seen many couples, but this is the first time I've seen such a devoted husband."

As the doctor spoke, his eyes glistened as if he were a fan of their love story.

Rosalie frowned slightly, feeling a pang in her heart.

Was Sebastian really like that? But he hadn't told her. He just quietly devoted himself to her.

"Doctor, do you know how my husband got his injuries?"

"Well, I'm not sure," the doctor said. "When I came out after the surgery, his face was already swollen. Before that, there was a middle-aged woman waiting outside the

operating room with him. They had a dispute about how to handle your surgery, so his injuries might have come from that."

Middle-aged woman.

Hearing these words, Rosalie suddenly thought of someone. She quickly asked, "Was that woman beautiful, elegant, and about five feet four?"

"Yes, indeed," the doctor said. "She was very beautiful and elegant, and she was about as tall as you mentioned."

From what the doctor said, Rosalie guessed it was Sydney. Why did she hit Sebastian? Could it be related to the surgery?

Afterward, the doctor checked on Rosalie again. After confirming everything was fine, he left the ward.

Sebastian came out of the bathroom, having washed his face and brushed his teeth. His tired face seemed somewhat relaxed now.

He walked to her bed. "Rose, did the doctor come by just now?"

Rosalie nodded. "Yes."

She raised her hand, and gently stroked the uninjured side of

Sebastian's face. "Seb, why didel net

you tell me that it was Theo's

mother who hit you?"

Sebastian lowered his head, remaining silent.

"Seb, look at me. Don't avoid my gaze."

Sebastian sighed softly, and reluctantly lifted his head to face her.

"Rose, I didn't want to make you

worry. She didn't do it on purpose. When I chose to save both you and the baby she was very angry, thinking that I was putting your life at risk understand how she felt at that moment, since terminating the pregnancy was the safest option for you."

Rosalie, feeling upset, said, "You should have told her that all of this was my choice, that I asked you to do this."
