Chariot 3: Conception

Chapter 43 – Intruders

Cai Yiu Hun chose the body of the deceased alien who seemed to have spilled blood the least, pushed it to the side and then grabbed his seat.

“Two ships are better than one” he thought while taking a glimpse of the alien writing that caught his attention, purple symbols spread over the craft`s structure.

“Especially if one of them is fully armed...” Cai Yiu added with a creepy smile on his face while trying to fit his big hands onto the disproportionally smaller terminals featured on the control panel.

Through the touch, Cai Yiu had an instant, at the same time awkward, sensation of connection between him and the alien technology. He could sense every single inch of it, the perforated hull, the air flowing on the outside, and even the deck under the mutilated bodies which gave him a disgusting feeling as if they were all touching his own body

“The canons” he thought while immediately turning his craft around in the search for his first target.

At the same time, Cai Yiu watched four tractor beams being emanated from one of the enemy crafts onto the hull of Chariot 3, each one transporting a Grey soldier, ready to invade the Nibirian ship.

At his command, the canons onboard Cai Yiu`s craft energized its extremities and immediately discharged two brightly red spheres against the pursuing craft.

Infuriated, Cai Yiu watched three of his enemies enter the friendly ship through its sealed hull while the fourth one dropped from the skies after the explosion of his craft.

“No!” Cai Yiu shouted, mad with his failure. “Chariot 3, you have company!” He alerted his friends.

Onboard Chariot 3, Shoffer had barely stood on his feet when Sissy`s voice blasted in his mind.

“Shon, we have intruders. Four transporting beams are being pointed to us.”

“Activate the shields Sissy!” Flumen reacted, without waiting for the orders of his Captain, standing next to him.

“Shon, I am afraid we do not have any remaining power to activate our defenses.” Shoffer gave Flumen a rather annoyed look while listening to her reply.

“We`re fortunate to be flying.” V-Nus added while trying to mislead the crafts that chased them.

Flumen then stared at the two parallel beams of white light penetrating the ship`s hull while Shoffer watched their reflection on the eyes of his friend.

With all the strength he had left, Captain Shoffer instinctively turned his body a hundred eighty degrees, throwing a blind punch against the hollow light.

With a rather impeccable timing, his feast crossed the light beam as the unwelcome intruder trespassed the hull.

Flumen watched the fist of his Captain smashing the chin of the Grey creature who fell on the deck, unconscious and with no idea of what had hit him.

Before his fist had stopped its circular motion, a second intruder surprised Shoffer before he could react.

In a lapse of bravery and total absence of any fighting skills, Flumen closed both his fist and jumped towards his enemy.

Despite his determination, fighting was way farfetched for Flumen`s broad group of skills. Armed, the Grey invader stunned the intellectual Nibirian along with his leader.

The two Nibirians fell instantly, offering no challenge to the enemy.

Dizzy, Flumen looked to the side and saw Shoffer also lying on the deck, unconscious.

Flumen could barely move his body, felling the same electrifying pain Cai Yiu had tasted minutes before.

Without showing any respect, the creature simply ignored the defeated Nibirian and walked over Flumen who still had his eyes fixed on his fallen Captain. “I cannot let him down” he thought as he quietly watched the depressing scene.

“Let him down!” Flumen repeated his thought, with an unusual sparkle on his eyes.

As the Grey finished stepping over his stunned body, Flumen used the only hand he could feel to grab the ankle of the despicable alien.

Confused, the Grey warrior looked down to his ankle to find Flumen`s skinny hand holding it tight.

By the time the unfortunate Grey creature realized what would come next, it was too late to react.

Flumen raised his head, and with bravery, stared his doomed enemy on the eyes.

With a perceptible look of pride in his face, Flumen wished Shoffer and the others were there to watch him ‘fight’.

“Sissy, open the Magnetic Passage, now!” Flumen shouted and at the same time wondered “what would V-Nus say in that situation?”

“Uhm…” he pondered. “Have you brought a jet pack?” He added, assuming those would have been the words of his Martian friend.

Confused, the creature gave Flumen a weird look before realizing what lied underneath his feet.

The hatch opened immediately, giving the condemned creature a twelve thousand feet fall down to the ground.

Flumen sighed, sprawling his body over the deck. He wished to never have as much action in his life again should he ever survive that mission.
