Captured By A Ruthless Vampire King

Chapter |82| ~ The Grand Finale, or Not~

Unedited.

Embry’s POV.

Speck regains my undivided attention when she suddenly begins to hyperventilate and her body begins to shake.

“Oh, hell no, Embry, do something now,” growls out my wolf.

“I’m already on it,” I call out while I spring into action. Not even, a second after I lift her head from off the floor Speck begins to choke on her tongue, coughing up an extremely thick amount of blood. Instincts take over, and I found myself gently easing Speck over to lay on one side.

Then I snatch the jacket that Celine gave me off my back before folding it up and then finally placing it under Speck’s head to act as a pillow. Once, she is positioned right I guide her to breathe slowly.

“Relax and breathe,” I say to her while stroking my hand over the top of her head. She’s burning up which should be impossible. There is no way that a vampire could catch a fever.

“Who on Goddess earth operates CPR on a dead body?” My sensitive ears pick up on Celine talking sideways out of her mouth and I swear on the Goddess itself that it’s taking everything out of me not to go off on her.

“Now is not the time, focus Embry,” my wolf is the one that calms me down, surprisingly.

“Focus, Embry,” her words begin to register as my eyes immediately begin to scan Speck’s body in an attempt to locate what’s causing the trauma.

After a second or so, Speck begins to regain control over her breathing pattern and her body follows suit. It feels like she’s somehow calming herself down.

“That’s right, Speck,” I cheer her on. “I’m here, everything will be alright,”

“Embry, is that you? Are you really here with me?” she questions me as she begins to regain consciousness. “Am I in heaven? Are you dead too? Oh, crap! Cyrus is going to kill me,” she finds the strength to say, and unable to help myself I burst out laughing. Leave it to Speck to be the one to worry about Cyrus in her weakened state. My girl.

She’s so unbelievable, I think to myself as I begin to spill a river of blissfulness happiness.

“Fuck, I’m so dead,” she says again.

“How can he kill you if you are already dead?” I question her as I once again begin to search for the cause of her wounds. So far, there are no noticeable injures and her heart naturally doesn’t beat so I can’t determine the speed. My father trained my siblings and me in the craft of medical aid, but our patients were always other wolves. I have no clue how to save a vampire, or even know where to begin.

My father didn’t bother with teaching us how to save them. It was always about killing them and avoiding being drained of our blood. Oh, my Goddess!

Blood! Speck needs blood. I immediately go into action. “Here,” I say to her while biting into my skin. “Drink, now!” My blood is pouring out with ease over top of her delicate lips.

“Don’t be silly!” she says in a hurry and somehow finds the strength to swat my hand away. “Even on my death bed, I wouldn’t drink from you. I rather die. I’m way too weak. I can’t risk hurting you to save me. That’s selfish,” her last words come out in a whisper.

“Do you really mean that?” Celine comes out of the shadows and takes a step closer to us.

“Would you actually prefer death over hurting Embry,”

“Of course, I do!“Speck snaps at her as she coughs up more blood.

“Oh, yeah, I almost forgot,” responds Celine. “She’s your Queen and your Ruthless King would have your head on a spike if anything happens to her, not that that matters with you already dying and all,”

Speck monster and my wolf growl in unison as soon as Celine finishes her sentence.

“No, I won’t drink from her because she is my friend,” hisses out Speck. “I rather die than hurt her,” she damns near chokes.

“Speck, it’s okay,” I stroke my hands threw out her bloody matted hair in attempts to soothe her. Oh, my poor Speck. It’s killing me and my wolf to have to see her like this.

“We should be glad that she doesn’t have to see herself like this because if she did the cause of death would be a heart attack,” my wolf hums out.

Uhmmm hum.

“It will be alright,” I say more to myself than Speck. It just has to be alright. It just has to.

“No it won’t,” she cries. “I’m dying and you know it. Your such a shitty liar Embry always and forever,” she attempts to smile.“It’s been such an honor to,”

“Don’t you dear,” I interrupt her while placing my open wounds closure to her mouth.” Don’t you dear say goodbye to me. I don’t want to hear it,” I cry out. “I refuse to go throw this again,”

“And you won’t,” Celine steps in before she pulls something out of her pocket.

“Give her this,” she says to me as she gives me a vile of blood.

“What’s this?” I question her warily.

“Poison,” coughs out Speck. “She’s trying to poison me,”

“No, I’m not. That’s not my style, I’m a Wilde wolf I rather rip out your heart and then feast on your liver,” Celine hisses at her. “Besides, you already have been poisoned by your kind. You all have and this just happens to be the cure,”

“Ravana’s blood,” my wolf is the one to say. We’ve figured out that Ravana blood was the cure to whatever poison she inflicted upon us the very moment that we sank our teeth into her, “How did you get that?”

“I told you I came to save you,” she says to me with a half-smirk. “Now, give it to your friend she doesn’t have much time,”

At that exact moment, Speck’s body begins to shake and more blood erupts from out of her mouth like a volcano. In a hurry, I place the vile of blood in front of her lips before forcing her to drink.

“No, Embry,” she attempts to push me away but this time I’m not having anything of that. I refuse to allow her to die, not on my watch.

“As your queen, I order you to drink,” I command.

“But,”

“There’s no but’s, ” I tell her. “Drink now,” I almost roar and that’s all takes for Speck to gulp down the blood.

“Not too much,” Celine says to me, which causes me to draw back the vile.

“Just one drop shall do the trick,” and as soon as the words fall from out her mouth Speck jumps up, literally jumps.

“We have to go now,” she says in a hurry as if she wasn’t just seconds away from losing her life, seconds away from death. Oh, Speck!

“Woah, Woah, Woah there horsey, take it easy,” I advise with a smile. I always wanted to say that to someone.

But no seriously, “You have to rest. You almost died and by the way why were you out here alone anyway. What happened?”

“I’ll tell you later because there is no time to explain,” she says to me.“They’re all in danger, Gutter, Ghost, Anastasia, Aunt Katherine, and every other guest have been,”

“Poisoned,” Celine is the one to finish.

Cyrus POV.

My entire face gleams in sickness delight as I watch my Queen hold Azazel the dickless life now rest inside of her hands, literally.

“Well done, your highness,” I chant while finally making my presence known before taking a step outside of the shadows and then snatching Lady Akasha by her neck.

“This belongs to our Queen,” I spit, snatching my Queen’s crown off Nicklaus Lady Akasha’s head.

“Cyrus, let me go at once. Apollyon will have your head for this. He will have the both of your heads, starting with the Chosen whore,” she spits a round of pointless threats. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I doubt it.

Instead of responding to Nicklaus’s nuisance of a mother, I place my undivided attention onto my Queen who is currently standing blazing hot death daggers directly into Azazel the dickless eyes.

Yikes! If looks could kill he would be dead, literally.

“I can hear your heartbeat you know,” Claire’s words are spoken low, dangerously low, and threatening, extremely threatening.

Oh, man. I wouldn’t want to be him right now and apparently, I’m not the only one who feels that way. I mean just look at him Azazel the dickless doesn’t even want to be himself.

Almost immediately, he begins to shit bricks while attempting to break free, which doesn’t cause our golden hair chosen to do anything but laugh right in his face.

Ha! Ha!Ha! You just got to love her.

“Do you know the best thing about humans coming out of those facilities?” she suddenly questions him.

Oh, I see! That just had to be the same question he asked her once upon a time.

Once upon a time, when she was nothing but a weak human.

Once upon a time, when she was just nothing but mere cattle.

Once upon a time before she was the queen of all vampire kings.

Awww, would you look at that? It really is funny how the tables turn. I’ve just got to remember that moving forward. I wouldn’t want to end up like him... now would I?

Nope, not at all, and I won’t because unlike Azazel the dickless I actually have balls, literally.

Ha! Ha! Ha! I just can’t get over that. The wicked smile that has been glued to my face for the last past 15 minutes widens as Azazel the dickless mouth begins to move with no words spilled.

He doesn’t speak, he doesn’t blink, he can barely breathe but somehow someway he does piss himself. Ha! Ha! Ha! He pissed himself. He pissed himself. He pissed himself.

All I can do is laugh harder. The nerve of this guy. I mean how dare you pee with no cock?

Like, how could you and that’s exactly what I voice out? “I wonder how he can pee with no dick,”

Ha! I’m dying people. The overkill of joy. Claire’s neck snaps in my direction, which only makes me laugh harder. Oh, so the queen doesn’t know.

Go figures.

“Nicklaus rid him of his manhood as a consequence for his sick desire,” I enlighten, causing Claire’s entire face full of predatory anticipation to bask in the glory of wicked delight.

“Did it hurt, Azazel the dick-less,” she teases. He doesn’t respond. “Answer me,”

“Please,” he starts to beg, “Please show mercy,”

“Address, me properly,” my queen monster spits.“What’s my name?”

“Please Your Majesty, show mercy,”

“No can do. You weak sick and sadistic piece of shit,” she advises in a sweet and delicate voice.

Ah, this girl switches quicker than a light switch. One minute she’s an angel and the next minute she’s the devil’s wife. It’s like a box of bloody chocolate. You’ll never know which blood-type you’re going to get when Claire is involved.

“Now, let’s have a little fun, shall we?” she says to him and fun we shall have.

All I can do is set back and watch this grand finale.

Embry’s POV.

“Poisoned,” I take the words right out of Celine’s mouth.

Their vampires that’s impossible. How the hell did they end up poisoned?

’“No better yet how the hell did she know that they were poisoned?” questions my wolf.

Wait, what? She knew.

“You knew,” I say to her while standing up and walking over in her direction. “You knew,”

“Of course I knew,” she nonchalantly answers, and with that, we are back to square one.

Without thinking, I jump on her which causes both of us to fall on the forest floor. “You knew my family was in danger and you didn’t warn me,” I shout before my fist connects with her jaw.

Celine’s eyes are wide with shock and my wolf is completely stunned. Yes, this is all me not her.

“How dare you?” I snap seconds away from sending her another knuckle sandwich but this time Celine is prepared. She catches my hand in mid-air before pushing me off her with such force I go flying into a tree. Although, that doesn’t matter because within a second I’m back on my two feet.

“How dare I what,” Celine wolf growls out. “How dare I place your life above a bunch of leeches?” she questions me with a laugh as if it’s funny. It’s not fucking funny.

“Well, that’s easy maybe because I don’t owe them any loyalty. They aren’t my family,”

“And neither am I,” I spit out. I can’t believe her. “I’m done, you conniving little bit,”

“Embry, that’s enough,”

Surprisingly, Speck is the one to speak up.

“She’s right. She doesn’t owe us anything. I’m thankful that she came to your rescue and everybody else will be as well, thank you,” she says to Celine. “Thank you for saving my Queen,”

“There’s no need to thank me. She is my cousin,” Celine huffs at her.

Meanwhile, I’m already heading towards the red house direction. I don’t have time to sit around and talk about who owes who.

“And where are you going,” Celine’s voice follows after me.

“To save my family because unlike you I owe them,”

I owe them everything. It’s not only my duty to protect them. It’s also my responsibility.

I’m their queen. They are family, whoever hurts them has to deal with me and that’s final.

Cyrus POV.

I watch the scene before my very eyes in utter shock.

Scratch that! I’m utterly spooked.

Azazel the dickless is currently drowning in a magical bucket full of water that disappeared out of thin air as Claire chants some creepy witch chant with a sinful tongue that draws up an ultra ungodly power that has managed to even gives me chills.

All in the while the awful sound of his scream pollutes my very sensitive ears as a bright electric emerald green light begins to dance acts of vengeance heat all over his skin and then boom.

His remains are nothing but a pile of ashes which is currently resting in the center of Claire’s hand. When it’s all done Claire dust off her hands like nothing ever happened.

What the actual fuck?

“What are you,” Lady Akasha questions, and yes she reeks of fear.

“I am your Queen, mother dearest.” Claire mocks as I place her crown on top of her head.

“Take me to my beloved at once,” order’s Claire, not sparing Nicklaus mother a second glance, acting like the queen that she is. “And bring her with us,”

My pleasure I think to myself while forcefully shoving Lady Akasha ahead.

After that, we walk through the Palace towards the battlefield in complete silence. Out the corner of my eyes, I study Claire’s every move, watching her view the mass pile of lifeless bodies that we pass with a troubled look. It is more than obvious that she is disturbed.

Her soft heartbeat picks up with every step that we take, which is completely understandable.

Claire may be all big and bad to our enemies but in reality, to us, she is still Claire.

She is still part human, a superpowerful human but still part human nonetheless.

“This is a disaster,” she mumbles as we draw closer to the other wing of the Palace.

“This is the causalities of war,” Lady Akasha has the nerve to speak as I continue to shove her ahead, “And this is only the beginning. No vampire of great status will ever accept you as our Queen. No matter, how powerful you may be,” she spits.

The audacity of this woman. She can’t be serious, especially after that show that Claire just put on. She knows like I know that she is nowhere near a match to Claire. At all.

I’m seconds away from telling her to shut the blood God up but Claire beats me to the punch.

“Then every vampire of great status shall die,” she snaps back before walking ahead of us.

Out of nowhere, movement is detected stopping all of us in our tracks. It’s a human by the smell of things.

Most likely a male, his heartbeat begins to skip several beats as I take a step in the direction of the piano. I only decide to leave him alone because Claire holds up her hand.

“You can come out,” she says. “I will not allow anyone to hurt you.”

Whoever he is heart rate sky rockets. “I promise that you will be safe. You have my word,”

“Claire,” he calls out, wait a minute I know that voice.

It’s him. I know it is. The informant that Princess Daniela freed.

Alec. The pretty boy slave.

Oh, fuck! Claire is about to kill me because I’m most definitely about to kill him.

The grand finale shall officially begin.

Embry’s POV.

My wolf is in full control as her four paws stump throughout the forest towards the direction of the Red House and I can feel the others following closely behind me, but yet we are still ahead. She has the lead and it is more than obvious that she is in complete predator mode and that’s exactly why it’s so easy for us to duck and dodge the packs of America as we make our way through the forest.

The crisp winter air feels like weather heaven as it blows against our white and grey coat. She is on high alert. The moonlight is shining as bright as the desert sun. It’s glistening, beaming, and leading the way. It’s so strange. The atmosphere is calm, too calm for this harsh winter and I just can’t help feeling as if this is the calm before the storm.

The eerieness floats within the wind.

We can feel, see, and hear everything that is going on in our surroundings.

We can’t sense anything out of the ordinary going on around us, but deep down inside we both are aware that many events are taking place that shall set our future.

We know that it’s time to face our destiny. Whatever happens tonight is meant. This is our course and we accept it with open arms.

Finally! We are ready to face our destiny.

The beaming moonlight is our guide as it leads us home and my animalistic instincts are my protector, ensuring that I follow the path with ease. Our four paws barely touch the snow throughout the entire journey. They land graciously each and every time as we constantly leap over the top of fallen branches. On top of that, they manage to avoid leaving any trace of our presence for another wolf to find.

We are in our zone and on a mission. Protecting those dearest to us is our first priority. Although, I’m bothered by the fact that the vampire nation’s capital has been set ablaze and that the packs of America are all around us causing complete chaos, declaring war.

Our eyes sharpen in on the Red House from afar. So far, so good. It is a fortress, weathering the storm. There are vampire soldiers everywhere, defending their homes and protecting their people. The vampire media are also here, placing themselves in danger all for the sake of fake news. It’s a complete disaster, a force of nature that shall shake the entire world for that I’m sure.

Thankfully, there aren’t too many wolves who have managed to breach the Red House and I can’t feel the presence of authority which means that the Alphas of Beta’s aren’t in the area at this moment.

In other words, my family isn’t here. Yet.

Out of nowhere, there is a loud explosion overtop of all of the madness and that’s when I push my wolf to the back of my mind as I watch the scene in horror.

Oh, my Goddess! Oh, my Goddess! Oh, my Goddess! And just when I thought that it couldn’t get any worse the top of the Red House blows up. Followed by, another explosion, and another explosion, and then finally an extremely big boom.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” I begin to break down.“We’re too late,” my pain bleeds but that doesn’t slow my wolf down, not even for a second if anything my more animalistic side completely breaks free.

She’s out for blood.

The blast brought down most of the Red House and the front gates.

Any surviving vampire guards are now in a full-fledged war with the wolves and the vampires are losing their numbers drastically.

My wolf is completely out for blood, blinded by rage and all I can do is sit back and watch her move in complete fear.

She releases a menacing growl before purposely releasing our Wilde Wolve Aura which alerts any werewolves within a mile radius of our presence, including other Wilde Wolves but that’s the point. She wants them to know that we are here and most importantly where our loyalty lies.

She wants them to come for us and it works. As soon as the other get a whiff of our presence all eyes are officially on us.

They attack.

Our first attackers come in pairs, charging in our direction at the same time and my wolf manages to evade both of them with ease. Next, she wastes no time throwing our claws in the largest one direction, settling in his flesh and then sinking our teeth deep within the side of his neck.

Our attacker begins to stagger violently around, attempting to rid himself of her but her bite is too deep. She’s too strong. From our parallel view, we can see the other wolf leaping into action, but he’s intercepted by no one other than Celine. Her glorious wolf comes through and she is notorious.

Within a second, she rips the enemy wolf to shreds. Followed by another victorious kill and then another one. It is evident that Celine didn’t come to play. The dead bodies of our attackers are the evidence. She’s ready for war and so am I.

My wolf once shinny white and grey coat is drenched in scarlet, basking in my enemies’ blood.

She is a Wilde. We’ve been blessed by the Goddess herself, no one in this field is a challenge for us.

No one.

They know this and so do I. Although I can sense that it’s not sitting well with my wolf that she is fighting our people. I can feel her pain as she cries, howling out loud because deep down inside we can’t help, but be ashamed of our actions. We are hurting our own, killing off our people, and let me be extremely clear even though she is victorious she is not proud.

This is a nightmare to both of us, a complete nightmare but we really don’t have a choice. Our people took that away from us. They forced us to pick a side and we are doing it.

We are choosing right over wrong even though it’s a matter of water over blood because it’s the right thing todo.

Aunt Katherine isn’t a threat to them. Cyrus is and I know for a fact that they know that he’s not here. This is a cowardly move. I’m just as ashamed of my people as they are of me.

Once, Celine finishes ridding ourselves of our last remaining enemy she shifts back into human form. By the time, our wolves are finished any vampires who have managed to survive the blast are dead. Our attackers made sure they took them out before attempting to take us out.

Smart move.

“You can come out now, the coast is clear,” Celine directs, most likely talking to Speck as my wolf continues to scan the area for any more signs of threat.

“This way,” Speck says, waving us over. “We have to go through the tunnels. There is a bunker down there if anyone survived the blast that’s where they will be,”

“In other words that’s where the queen bee will be,” sasses Celine.

“No the queen bee is standing right beside you covered in blood,” Speck sasses her back while looking at me. “Now, Lady Katherine and the other royals will most certainly be down there preparing for a fight. So, come on we have to move fast,” she says before taking off.

Celine wastes no time following right behind her but my wolf stays in place for just a second, scanning the area. She’s just about to rush off when an extremely familiar presence hit us in the center.

It feels safe, warm, and like a series of never-ending love. It nearly takes my breath away.

It’s that bond. The type of love that is so extraordinarily special.

It’s my dad. My daddy is almost here.

For a moment, my wolf and I think about running in his direction and beg for his forgiveness just like we use to do wherever we would do something to upset him back when we were pups. Then, we think about reopening up that line for Wilde Wolf’s communication just to get a whiff of his touch because in all honestly we really do miss our dad.

I miss him but I can’t.

We can’t. We know better.

Our father loves us dearly and we both are aware that he will protect us from whoever no matter what we have done, no matter how mad he is at us but betrayal to my people is a serious crime.

They want me dead, running to my daddy for help will do more bad than good.

Celine confirmed that. They have chosen the path of blood.

It will place my father in a dilemma, blood over water and my father will choose blood. He will protect me over all others for that I’m sure and that will start an even bigger war. That’s just something that I can’t live with. I won’t.

Besides, I can take care of myself and so can my wolf. This is what he trained me for, even if he doesn’t see it that way. This was always my path.

This is it. All of his hard work and dedication just to ensure that I would be able to live up to my birthright starts right now. Win, lose or draw, die, or live. This is it!

The Grand Finale, or not! I don’t know, either way, since day one my father has prepared us for this.

“And he prepared us well,” my wolf says to me as she looks over our attacker’s dead bodies one last time before deciding to takes off in the direction of the other’s.
