Captured By A Ruthless Vampire King

Chapter |22|~The Truth Hurts~

Unedited.

Cyrus POV.

“Cut the shit Cyrus, I know that she’s your beloved,”

Aww! Here it goes.

Speck the inspector gadget just don’t know how to keep here nose from out of places where it doesn’t belong.

“You know,” my monster growls. “You really shouldn’t have said that.”

****

“Say what,” questions Speck the peck. She’s has officially plucked my last nerve. “The truth,” she continues to test. “That’s your problem! Matter of fact, that is all of you Kings problem. All of you are too afraid to admit the truth.”

That did it! Within a second, my monster grabs Speck by her small and fragile little neck, slamming her into the wall without a little more force than necessary. My claws are digging into her skin as a warning. It would only take less than a second to end her life if I really wanted to. All I have to do is twist my fingers and it’s game over.

“You’re playing a dangerous game, little girl,” my monster spits in her face. She really is.

“Don’t you little girl me, ass wipe,” she spits back. “I’m not afraid of you, Cyrus the virus,” she insults and dares to look me straight into my ruby red eyes. “What are you going to do bite me,” hisses Speck before her big and bulky heels come crashing down on my big toe.

Ouch!!!!!! This little fuck! Almost instantly, I release her and bend over to touch my toe.

Only for Speck to go full throttle by smashing her pointy ass knee right into my ball sack. Sealing the deal!

I release a teeth-chattering growl while falling down onto my knees with my hands covering my precious jewels. I should’ve seen that coming.

What the fuck is up with all the women in this day and time going for our nuts?

It feels as if I’m about to defecate all over the floor, Classic! I’m going to kill her.

“You don’t have the balls to harm me,” tests Speck the Peck, while leaning her head over to one-sided and staring me directly in the eyes. Meanwhile, I’m still crouched over in pain from the unexpected attack to my gold.

“You wanna bet,” I hiss through clenched teeth with a groan.

“In fact, I do,” she mocks and rolls her eyes with extra force. “Let me remind you Cyrus the virus that Aunt Katherine would have your head on a platter if any harms comes my way. Speaking of the Lovely Lady Katherine, I’m absolutely certain that she taught you to never place your hands on a girl,” taunts Speck, deciding to make her way over towards the bar. As if nothing has ever happened.

“Who gives a fuck,” I snap. Oh, fuck it feels like my balls have a migraine, the pain won’t stop.

“You do,” she snaps back. “And you want to know something else that I want to bet,” taunts Speck, while grabbing two Collins glasses and filling them with ice. I watch her with my wide and bright red eyes pick up the bottle of my favorite poison.

" I bet that you’ll claim the pretty little wolf girl before the next new moon,” she continues, now pouring the liquid into the glass, followed by a splash of coke.

“Now, we can sit here and chew each other heads off, or we can talk like two civilized adults about your problems. Either way, you better start talking or I’m calling your aunt.”

“You wouldn’t,” I dare to say.

“Oh yes I would,” she tells me in a dead ass serious voice tone. Fuck, she isn’t kidding.

“The truth will set you free, Cyrus. No matter how much it hurt.” She advises before taking a seat on the edge of my bed.

Then, she has the nerve to take a sip of one of the drinks. “You know that you don’t have to live a lie me with, so you mind as well just come over and talk to me,”

Within a blink of the eye, I’m in front of her with blood shot red eyes. She doesn’t even jump. Annoying little fuck.

I stare at her for a moment longer before deciding to take a seat beside her. She right! I mind as well get it over with. Speck the Peck may be a pain in my ass and downright annoying, but she is like a little sister to me. I can trust her with my life and I know she will never betray me.

I mind as well get it over with.

She’s going to find out one way or the other and if I don’t tell her the truth she’s going to call my aunt and that conversation will be far worst.

Cyrus POV.

“Wait, what? Please tell me that you really didn’t do that?” asks Speck for the thousandth time.

“Yeah, I fucked up,” I tell her for the thousandth time back.

“You think,” she says to me once again. This has been our awkward exchange of dialogue for the last past 10 minutes. I’ve filled her in on everything that has happened between Embry and I. Everything!

I told her about how I found her on the brink of death in the woods. I’ve explained to her how she ran from me and how I chased her. I’ve even told her how much I’ve enjoyed the chase. I haven’t even admitted that to myself.

I told her about the rules that I’ve formed out of my foolish attempt to save her and make her strong. Then, I told her about our fight and how broken Embry looked. It pained me to admit that Embry tried to reject me to Speck.

Like, I said tried.

Speck got a kick out of that and said,” That’s exactly what you get,” and she is right. That is exactly what I get. I should have never pushed her that far. Fuck, I’m an idiot. An absolute idiot.

“So,” says Speck, while walking over toward’s the window and sitting down in the window seat. “What are you going to do about it,”

“What am I going to do about what,” I ask, finishing up my drink. I hate chasing my poison. I prefer it straight on the rocks, but I must admit that the coke is a good match with Jack.

“About you’re, Sunshine,” she asks in a duh type of voice. I also told her that Embry is my sunshine because she is. She is the sun that makes me smile on a cloudy day. She is the warmth that lives within my cold soul. Embry is my sunshine, but Speck doesn’t need to say that out loud.

“What could I do,” I question with a sigh. “You know, like I know that I can’t do anything, Speck. As I stated before, claiming Embry means choosing her over everything,”

“So what if it does,“says Speck with another epic eye rolls. Before, she places one of her perfectly manicured nails on her chin and stare into thin air, like she’s thinking.

Why she has such sharp and pointy sky blue painted nails that are longer than her monsters claws I’ll never know?

“You know,” she ponders, still staring into space. “I say you grovel.”

Grovel? What the hell does she mean that I should grovel?

“What do you mean,” I ask her. I’m a King and Kings don’t gravel. People bow down and bend over backward for me, not the other way around. Has she completely lost her mind?

“Oh, please! You know exactly what I mean,” she tells me off. “You better get down onto one knee, pucker up those lips,” she says, while puckering up her lips and making a smooching sound just to add a dramatic effect, I’m sure. “And start to do some ass-kissing because you have a lot of making up to do if you don’t want to lose your girl.”

“Embry is not going anywhere,” I almost shout, standing up from off the bed and making my way over to the bar. Fuck, I’m turning into an alcoholic. All because of her. Embry. “She belongs to me and me only. I will never let her go.”

“And that right there is the problem. You act like she is your property or some sort of toy. She’s your beloved, Cyrus the virus. You better start treating her as such, or you will lose her if you haven’t already.”

I growl at her last words. I’m not losing shit I think to myself before taking a huge swig of the first liquor bottle that I can get my hands on. Bourbon, I believe. At this point, I don’t really know or care.

“Stop calling me that, you little fuck. Plus, I’m not going to lose her. She belongs to me.”

“And you belong to her,” she tells me while flipping hair. “But you have kidnapped her, placed her in chains, treated her like a child with your sick ass rules, left her crying on the floor, and that’s only half of it.”

Speck throws everything I told her in my face and I hate her for it.

Fuck the truth hurts! I mean really hurt.

When I don’t say anything Speck releases an agitated sigh.

“How would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot,” she asks me. “I mean, just really think about it. You are the most hated vampire in North America. Her people hate you with a burning passion, I mean really, really hates you. How would you feel if they somehow captured you and Embry did half of the shit that you put her through,” she questions me.

How am I supposed to answer that question?

I don’t know how I would feel because that will never happen.

“Embry wouldn’t do that.” She wouldn’t. Embry’s heart is way too pure.

She is an angel and I’m the devil. She’s a sweetheart and I’m a heart breaker. We are the complete opposite, night and day. We are two different people.

Opposites attract, that’s probably why we were matched.

Plus, not one of those dogs is a match for me. Not one!

“Why wouldn’t she,” questions Speck, slightly raising her voice. “You did it to her.”

“She is my beloved,” I raise my voice back.

“And you are her mate,” she shouts back. Fuck! I’m really starting to regret telling her. She is my adviser, not Embry’s.

She doesn’t even know her. Speck loyalty should lie with me.

“You’re supposed to be on my side, not hers. You don’t even know her.”

“So what,” She says while taking a stand. “My loyalty does lie with you and she is your beloved, which means my loyalty now lies with her. Not to mention, the fact that I’m a woman first. Oh, and yeah.

Plus, the one small fact that I’m actually teaming Embry,” she admits, while placing her hands on her hips.

She’s so dramatic. A real pain in my ass!

“Blood Gods knows that girl needs a friend because you have been a complete dick!”

Speck is really annoying as fuck and there is no Cyrus without Embry and vice versa.

So, technically there is no team Embry. It’s just teamed us.

But I’m not admitting that, especially to Speck. She already thinks she knows it all. I refuse to give her the satisfaction of hearing me say that out loud.

“And what about the fact that it is illegal to claim another species as your beloved,” I flip the script altogether.

“Uh well, I hate to break it to you, baby,” she starts off. “But the King of all Kings, who by the way happens to be your best friend beloved is a human. A feisty little human at that. I can bet your bottom dollar that he will claim her. The entire world is about to change, for that I’m sure.” Speck advises with a giggle.

She’s having way too much fun with this.

“And even if that wasn’t the case, who gives a fuck? Fuck this society and its rules. The world is boring as fuck now that we took over and so are the old men that rule it.”

Yeah, I bet it is! That’s real rich coming from a vampire who dresses like a human teenage girl who lived before the awakening war. Wait a minute, I’m one of the old men that’s she’s referring to.

“Watch your mouth,” I growl. “I’m one of those vampires that partaken in the takeover, remember?”

“Ah, duh,” she giggles harder. “And look how that has turned out,” Speak teases a little further in the process of forming a satisfied smirk. “Your Karma is the woman you’re going to end up with, Embry the cute little she-wolf. Ha! Ha! Ha!”

Fuck, she’s annoying.

“You’re annoying as fuck,” I tell her. I really mean that. She knows she is.

“And you’re an ass,” she sasses with a shrug.” But hey, I’m not judging!”

Yes, you are.

“Well actually I am,” she adds in and smirks harder.

I respond with a growl and then I give her the middle finger.

“Look all I’m saying is that you need to treat her how you want to be treated, Cyrus,” Specks says her words slowly like I’m dumbfounded.

“Value her, she is your beloved. Not too many vampires in this day or time have the chance to claim their beloveds. She is a gift from the blood God and you’re her gift from her Luna Goddess Lady, you need to treasure her,” she once again tells me off.

I know she is speaking from the heart.

Speck has always been and will always be a hopeless romantic. Not too many, people know that about her. Speck lives for true love.

She used to be head over hills about Nicklaus’s brother, Xander. But apparently they didn’t work out. I don’t know the gruesome details of their story and I don’t want to know because they are both close to me but I will say this.

Xander has to be stuck on stupid because that’s the only explanation that would explain why he let a girl like Speck go.

“Look who’s talking,” my subconsciousness decides to speak up and I almost groan out loud.

One can say the same thing about me. I’ve got to be the stupidest man in the world because Embry is damn sure the best person that I’ve ever encountered. She is beautiful, sweet, patient and kind.

She is a way better person than I could ever be. I really don’t deserve her.

She is phenomenal. We need more Embry’s in this world. Fuck, I’m such an idiot.

“Fuck, Speck. I fucked up,” I admit before I run my hand over my hair and then shift my gaze to stare out of the window. “How can I fix this? She has hit rock bottom and it’s all my fault.” This shit is really my fault. I’ve been such an ass. “Fuck!”

“Well, I no know it all,” she starts to say and I can’t refrain the urge to roll my eyes. Yeah, Speck.

“Sure, you’re not.”

“What,” she catches on.

“Nothing,” I tell her. I can’t fuck this up. For once, I really do need Speck advice. Finally, I’m getting my money’s worth. She’s an expensive little fuck.

“Oh, that’s what I thought,” she sasses me dramatically. She knows that I need her, little fuck.

“Anyway, like I was saying before you so rudely cut me off,” she continues on, “I’m no, know-it-all but I do believe that it is safe to say that she will forgive you.”

“You do,” I ask placing my gaze onto her. I can’t believe this. I’m openly admitting that I do in fact have feelings for Embry, who doesn’t want anything to do with me and I’m actually showing my feelings.

The tables have officially turned.

“Yes, I do,” she tells me with a sneaky snicker. “And I already told you what to do. I was dead ass when I said that you have to grovel.

Here she goes again. “I don’t know how to grovel.”

“Then you better fucking learn,” she tells me. Once again hitting one of her famous eye rolls. This, girl! I am really, starting to regret telling her anything. I can practically see Embry and Speck teaming up on me in the near future. No, worse for the rest of my life. Fuck, I’m fucked.

“You’re right! I need to learn how to grovel, luckily for me I have you.”

“Uh, no, no, no, no! I don’t think so,” she says to me, while walking over towards the door. “Your girl, you grovel. I did enough damage control. But I will do one thing, for Embry of course.”

“And what is that,” I ask her. “Besides bother her to death.”

Speck snickers, “Your such a bad joker. On a serious note, I can take her with me, you know. The wild goose hunt for Nicklaus beloved can become a little dangerous. I can take Embry straight to Washington and watch over her.”

I stare out the window and think over her offer. She’s right! During our pursuit to find Claire things are bound to become a little dangerous. Not to mention, the fact that Embry is a she-wolf. We may run into wolves that know her, or worse.

Members of her family and from what I saw at the Northern Pack border they will fight to the death for one another. Now, I can’t have that now, can I? But in this short period since I’ve met her.

I think it’s safe to say no one can be trusted with the task of protecting her, but me. She’s clever. Maybe a little too clever for her own good and I know for a fact that she will make a run for it the first chance she gets.

Now, I really can’t have that now, can I?

“No thank you,” I decline. I’ve learned my lesson about allowing Embry to be left with anyone other than myself. “Embry stays with me,”

“Very well, then, I’ll see you both in Washington. Safe travels Cyrus the viruses,” Speck smirks before she saunters out of the door to most likely go check on Embry before she leaves, knowing her.

Fuck, I’m fucked. The both of them together screams double trouble. Speck is a bad influence.

I stare out the window for a little longer, lost in my own thoughts. How the hell am I supposed to win back my girl?

Maybe by starting to get to know her, I think to myself, I mean I really don’t know that much about her or where she comes from.

I could do some digging, yeah that’s it. Then, I could take her on a trip when this war is all over and I can give her back that ugly ass wild animal that she found. Fuck I need Speck help for that.

“Speck,” I mind-link with her while walking out the door.

“You ringed,” she answers. She’s such a child.

“I need you to send that wild animal that I told you I found to Washington and I need you to prepare a wardrobe for Embry before you go.”

“It’s already been done,” she advises with a huge smirk, I’m sure. “Now leave me alone and go get your girl.”

“Shut up,” I hiss and then I shut off our line of communication.

Embry’s POV.

My head hurts. Physically hurts. All I can do is think about my family. I miss them. I miss them so much it hurts.

In hopes of making myself feel better, I take off my clothes and start to run the bathwater. When I was just a pup, whenever I was down my big sister used to fill up our tub with honey and oats, a tad bit of lukewarm milk and some hot water. She always said that a nice hot bad would do the trick.

I hope that’s the case I think to myself as I slide in the beautiful grand tub inside of this ridiculous expensive bathroom. I really haven’t had the chance to admire this room decor.

I know it’s beautiful like everything else inside of this building that feels more like my prison.

Yeah, everything is beautiful alright. I’m just stuck inside of this beautiful nightmare.

I wish my family was here.

*Flashback* Two Moons Ago*

“Kaya! Celine! Oh, how I missed you,” I say while running over to the both of them in a hurry. You would think I caused a desert storm as much sand is flying around me while I run.

“I missed you too, Sexy,” responds Celine as she embraces me with a huge hug. My hair is blowing with the wind and wrapping around her. I hate this length. I really want to cut it off like how Celine and Kaya rocks their hair but I’m not that bold.

" I missed you too, Embry,” says Kaya joining in and creating a huge group hug.

I’m surrounded in pinewood, apples, and love. Gosh, I miss my girls.

When I’m home. I’m all alone. My dad is busy with his duties and so is my big brother. My sister is, well let’s just say my sister is never around. Plus, we barely talk. So, I’m always alone.

I tend to stay away from the other she-wolves around here because they all tend to want to get close to me only because of who I am.

They act like us Wilde Wolves are some type of celebrities or sort. It’s crazy! I never know who wants to be my friend for me or be my friend for what they tend to believe that I can do for them. So to avoid the heartbeat and the head ache I just keep my distance.

My cousins on the hands are my best friends. We or more like sisters, and we’ve always been.

You know what they say, cousins are always your first best friends.

“So,” I say, pulling away and placing my attention onto Kaya. “How’s the mated life?”

Today is Kaya’s big day.

She looks flawless as always which has nothing to do with the fact that she’s glowing and expecting.

I still can’t believe that’s she’s about to be a mom. Kaya the baby is going to have a pup before all of us. It’s crazy, I know. My baby is having a baby.

I still can’t believe it!

She’s wearing a blush pink off the shoulder short laced dresses and a flower crown that has been handmade with a few of the best flowers that North America has to offer.

Kaya vivid crystal blue eyes are filled with an intense amount of joy. I’m so happy for her.

Her belly is sitting up round and high like a basketball, I believe she’s having a boy. But Celine believes it’s a girl. Aunt Elena believe she having quadruplets , or Sextuplets . She prays to our Goddess everyday that Kaya has a nice a litter, filled with four to six pups.

The only person who knows what she is having is Kaya. She can sense it, it’s called a she-wolf intuition. We are very good with knowing our bodies. Very good! I tried to get her to tell me but she refused to let anyone of us know, which does make this a lot more fun.

Kaya jet black hair blows with the wind as she give me a big smile. It’s currently in its natural wavy state, wet and wild. She has little to none make up on, just a tad bit mascara and a pretty pink gloss, Celine doing of course.

Nonetheless, Kaya looks absolutely adorable. It’s her norm.

Today is the day, that we will find out if she’s having a boy, or girl, or both, plus more. All the Alphas and packs from North America are expected to attend, even the Southern alpha.

Who happens to be the only female Alpha in North America. I can’t wait too meet her.

It’s the party of the century as Celine would say, a huge jamboree.

Aunt Elena wouldn’t have it any other way. She is currently acting like Grandmazilla, which is ten time worse than a bridezilla.

And trust me when I say it’s not pretty.

Aunt Elena requested to a have the gender reveal on our territory because it’s freezing on the eastern side this time of year.

It’s a good thing too because is today is a good day. It’s nice and balmy, the perfect day to be out in the sun. You just got to love California.

“Yeah Kaya,” Celine adds in as we start to walk closer towards the pack house. “How’s the mated life besides the fact that you’re always knocking boots. I mean it’s cool and all but damn girl, you guys mate so much. I’m so happy you two finally moved into your own place,” Celine confesses with a huge naughty smile plastered onto her plumped and full lips.

Kaya high cheek bones are now ticked in the color pretty pink.

Embarrassment at it finest I tell you.

“It’s nothing to be embarrassed about, Kaya,” I come to her rescue.

“Yeah, Embry is right,” Celine picks back up. “There is no need to be embarrassed. We’ve already seen how you do, what you two do, at your mating ceremony, so..”

“Stop it Celine,” I speak up for Kaya, while horribly attempting to suppress my laughter. “’There is no need to embarrassing her any further.

“Oh, I’m not Embarrassed at all,” Kaya speaks up for self. ” Ryan is actually a beast in the bedroom,” she admits while wiggling her eyebrows. “But it’s no need to brag because the both of you already know. Thanks to the performance that my mate and I put during our mating ceremony. It was phenomenal.”

“Yeah, phenomenally gross,” says the one and only Celine.

All three of us burst out laughing, literally laughing our asses off.

“Hey losers, Aunt Elena is looking for the geek squad,” interrupts someone from behind us. It sounds like my sister, Farrah. I don’t know. I’m to busy laughing my ass off to turn around and face her.

We all are! Just standing in our little circle, bent over, and dying from laughter. Gosh, I’m in tears. I love my girls.
