Chapter 92: Breathtaking Moment
Proofread by Peter Gong
Gu Yi is angry about Yu Fei when he sees her dull expression, thinking that she was almost hit by the car, and he can't help but shout at her witha harsh tone. "Are you crazy? If you were hit by car, you and the baby would be killed!" Yu Fei is stunned by his shouting before she reacts. Seeing that, Gu Yi regrets for thinking he has misunderstood her and is preparing to apologize. Yu Fei slowly stands up and looks down at him. "What are you doing here?" It's office hour. Gu Yi is supposed to be working in the company, not here.
They stand in the middle of the road, which affects the normal traffic, and all the vehicles whistle at them. Gu Yi is awakened and notices their situation. He jumps up and apologizes, then pulls her away through the crowd. Considering the situation of Yu Fei, Gu Yi deliberately runs very slowly, but even so, Yu Fei is still very reluctant to follow him behind, stumbles and almost falls down several times. They stop at a small park nearby. Yu Fei bends over and pants. Gu Yi looks at her with a complex look. When Yu Fei is coming back, Gu Yi says nothing and comes forward to hold her hand, then they sit on the bench, which lies behind a tree, and no one comes over because this place is hidden.
Yu Fei lowers her head and her face is hidden, and she looks a little pitiable. Seeing her in such a miserable state, Gu Yi represses his words. Yu Fei is surprised, raising her head. Just on the road Gu Yi already could not help but shout at her, and she thought he would rebuke her again. Out of her expectation, he remains silent so long. Yu Fei raises her head and has eye contact with him suddenly. His eyes show too much emotion and love, which is too much for her to bear, so she avoids his gaze and scratches her nose affectedly, "Why are you here? Shouldn't you be at work?"
Although she idles at home every day, she still pays attention to the aftermath of the economic turmoil. Although the worst time was over, now is the best time to recover the economy, which means Gu Yi, as the head of company, is supposed to arrange the work in the company, instead of appearing here. Gu Yi sees through Yu Fei's mind, carelessly waving a hand, pulling the topic back to that breathtaking moment, "It is not important that why I'm here. But you, crossed the road carelessly. Fortunately I was there, if not, you and the baby would not escape this disaster!"
Yu Fei hears his words and shivers. As he is speaking, his dreadful words present her with the scene in which she lies on the ground with a pool of red blood flowing slowly beneath her body. Her back has goose-flesh, and now she really feels scared. Her hands unconsciously touch her belly, it's hard. Through the touch she can clearly feel the child is still in his body. Yu Fei is relieved and talks to herself," Baby, I'm sorry. It's all my fault. Fortunately you are OK." Yu Fei looks down at her belly with a loving smile. This makes her emit a special maternal brilliance, which adds more charm to her bright and appealing face.
"I was intended to come over to look for you. But before I arrived at your house, I saw you walking on the road aimlessly. I worried about you, so I followed you, then that thing just happened." Gu Yi doesn't want to blame Yu Fei again, simply explaining why he was here. Speaking, Gu Yi suddenly gasps, "Hiss", like bearing a great pain. Yu Fei looks at him with confusion, seeing his bare right arm elbow is grazed with a large piece of skin, exposing the pink soft flesh inside. Scarlet blood mixes with black dirty ash, and it looks horrible.
"How did you get hurt? Did you just hurt?" Yu Fei instantly gets nervous, standing up and preparing to buy medicine at drugstore, but she is stopped by Gu Yi. Gu Yi waves his hand without care, pulling the sleeve up, "It's OK, just a little skin bruised. You don't run around in case of another accident. If something happens, I'll blame myself." Although he says so, Yu Fei still can't feel relieved. Except for worry, she feels more remorse and guilt. If it were not for saving her, Gu Yi would not have been hurt.
Since her pregnancy, Yu Fei becomes more sensitive and often weeps for little things. Now her eyes can help but turning red again. Gu Yi wipes her tears around her eyes, "Don't cry. I will be distressed." The distance between them instantly narrows because of his action, and the smell of the man suddenly rushes into her nose. She pushes him unwillingly and leans back, keeping distance with him. This isn't the first time for her to do this and Gu Yi isn't surprised. He pretends that nothing happened, following her movement and closing to her again, wiping all the tears on her face with stubbornness. There is no one except Ko Chen who can make her become this. Gu Yi even doesn't want to ask. "Your belly is getting bigger every day. It's not convenient for you to stay at home alone. If you like, you can move to my house." Gu Yi suggests. Yu Fei shakes her head and refuses him. Before she tries to say something, Gu Yi covers her mouth to stop her and says with a gentle but irresistible voice, "If you don't move, at least you should find an nanny to take care of you, and I'll be less worried." Seeing he has made up his mind, Yu Fei has no choice but to compromise. She agrees to let Gu Yi find a nanny for her. They don't mention that car accident that was just about to happen tacitly, for Yu Fei does not want to think about it again and Gu Yi does not want to hear any news about and Ko Chen. "Well, let's walk around the park and I'll take you home later." The setting sun shines on the sparkling lake, and Yu Fei and Gu Yi walk side by side on the path of the park. The time seems to be lengthened, leisurely and pleasant, and those plots and intrigues seem to have disappeared.
