Callous Boss and Awkward Wife

Before the problems with Yu Yu are solved, the company has problems, too. When the secretary calls, Ko Chen is checking the latest financial statements and finds some problems which are going to be pointed out at the meeting tomorrow. He wears a pair of black glasses, which covers up his cool temperament and shows his tenderness.

"Mr. Ko, our partners suddenly tell us that they will terminate the cooperation in the cases that we took from Company Gu." With his eyebrows frowning, he takes off his glasses and asks for details harshly, "You tell them that the contract says clearly that the huge amount of liquidated damages will be sought if terminating cooperation is unilaterally proposed." It seems that the secretary feels Ko Chen's rage through the phone, and she answers with a trembling but scrupulous voice, "I've told them, but they said they would terminate cooperation even if they have to pay the penalty."

Right at this time he opens the files of planned programs in the computer, squinting his eyes and glancing at them, and he immediately understands that they don't care about liquidated damages at all, because they are determined to go against Ko Company. But such a mess tonight fails him to keep calm as usual.

The fragrance of wine immediately spreads in his mouth with a sip. Ko Chen walks to the window, lowering his head and looks at the street lamps with a distant look. He only takes two sips and then puts the glass away. Taking out the phone, he finds a number that he has never called. He has told the owner of the number that he should never contact him with telephone except for emergency. But now it seems that it doesn't matter whether he calls or not.

Ko Chen's expression is hidden under the shadow. The call is connected only after ringing twice. A cold male voice is heard, "Hello." "It's me." The moment Ko Chen's voice sounds, the man on the other side panics. He pauses for a second, and asks with hesitation, "Mr... Mr. Ko?" Ko Chen doesn't want to speak more and asks straight, "Does Gu Company have special action recently? Our partners suddenly tell us that they will terminate the cooperation in the cases that we took from Company Gu."

With it, that man instantly understands that Ko Company must be trapped this time. He leafs over the documents in hand and tells Ko Chen, "Gu Company only signed one cooperation programme recently, which is not in my charge. I will check it and give you answer later." Ko Chen doesn't do anything after hanging up the call. He just stands near the window and his thoughts can't be told from his expression.

About ten minutes later, the phone on the window vibrates and the screen is lit up. On the screen a message emerges: it's not Gu Company, but Lin Xiu Company. There is only one simple word on the contact name, that is, CAT. Ko Chen immediately sends "Lin Xiu" to his assistant to search for the background of this company. His assistant works efficiently and sends the details of Lin Xiu Company to Ko's email within half an hour.

He enters his mailbox and opens the email. Glancing at it, he is attracted by the first name in it. It is Tan Lin. Both legal person and president of Lin Xiu Company is Tan Lin. Ko Chen squints his eyes and clenches his empty left hand. The clench makes his bones emit a creak sound which is extremely horrible when it echoes in the dark room. He finally logs out his email after carefully reading this email three times.

He knows that the reason why Tan Lin returns home is not simple and he has an intention to investigate her secretly. But he doesn't expect that she has planned so many things before he acts. But Ko Chen is relaxed after knowing that it is Tan Lin, because a visible enemy is better to deal with than the hidden one. Both of them know clearly which huge family company is behind Tan Lin and what the family company is planning. It seems that there will be a tough war in the following days. And no matter what happens, Ko Chen will never return to that family.

While Ko Chen is waging a tough war, Yu Fei is still suffering from the pain that Ko Chen inflicts on her. She doesn't dare to stay at home, which doesn't have any trace of Ko Chen, but as long as she remembers that Ko Chen once appeared downstairs, she can't calm herself down. It is dark outside. Yu Fei looks up at the sky and sees dark clouds covering the whole sky. It seems that it's going to rain, but Yu Fei doesn't take an umbrella and doesn't want to go back. So she continues to walk out.

Yu Fei's hair is messed up by the wind. She walks forward aimlessly. Such a beautiful but poor woman attracts passers-by's attention. But she ignores all those looks and walks forward. Suddenly a harsh sound of brakes sounds near her ear. Before she turns to look at the source of that sound, she is pushed forward by a huge force. A person falls beside her who holds her waist tightly with a pair of powerful arms. She looks down and sees an unexpected face.
