Bound by the CEO’s Baby By Sun Scar Chapter 15
Chapter 15
That was a good excuse, right? Apparently not.
“Really, Mr. Wright? That is your argument?” she asked. She looked at him with her arms crossed and her eyebrows raised. And then it hit Damien, that was exactly what he had done. He groaned in frustration and embarrassment.
“Shit, Ana… I didn’t mean to–I didn’t realize… that night was-
“Terrifying? Humiliating? Life–altering?” she finished the sentence for him. “Yes, Mr. Right, it was all of those things and more. And guess what? I was far drunker back then than I was last night. And I am glad to know you think I am a whore for hanging out with a guy… I can’t tell you how hypocritical your statement is.”
Damien knew she was right. He had nothing more to say because Damien couldn’t defend himself. He was a bastard for leaving her cold and humiliated… for kicking her out. He knew it four years ago and he knew it then.
“But I thank you for interrupting me. Nothing good comes from hooking up while drunk. It has ruined too many lives, intentional or not,” she quipped.
Damien grit his teeth. Yes, whatever semblance of a relationship they could have had was ruined by him. He had always thought Anastasia a gem and a confidant.
“Anastasia, I am so, so sorry,” he breathed.
“You have said that,” Ana huffed. “I will take my leave then.”
“No. you don’t understand. I am not apologizing for last night. I realize I have never given you an explanation about that night.”
He was desperate for her to look back, but she didn’t.
“I didn’t know you were a virgin. God, I had an emergency meeting the next morning and I threw you out on the street. I can’t imagine what a horrible…” he didn’t finish the sentence.
“If there were no emergency, would you have treated me better?”
He wanted to tell her he would have, but she raised her hand. “It is my turn to speak.” She paused.
“I wasn’t a stupid slut, Damien. I was not looking to lose my virginity despite what Wynne may have joked about. I was minding my own business and YOU came to flirt with me. I neither approached you nor tried to kiss you until you demanded it. I would have never touched you if I had been sober, so don’t even try to put that on me.”
Damien was speechless.
Ana wasn’t completely truthful in her statement. She had more than noticed Damien throughout the time she worked at the company, but he was always busy and professional. She had seen the man at his best, working with colleagues. She may not have actively sought him out, but she had wanted him from the beginning. She had been toying with the idea, her lust nearly consuming her, but Ana wasn’t going to tell him that.
They started walking again in total silence before Damien spoke again.
“When did Wynne find out?”
“A couple of weeks ago,” Ana replied promptly.
“And how did that conversation come to be?”
Aha mulled over how to answer that. “I don’t really remember,” she shrugged. Damien narrowed his eyes but left that line of questioning alone. “James knows because Wynne told him, apparently. I have not told anyone myself because I am not proud to air my dirty laundry.”
Chapter 15
After a few more moments of silence, Damien spoke up. “Will you tell me?”
“Tell you what?”
“What did I do to you?” he whispered.
Ana stopped walking and offered him a twisted smile. “What do you mean?”
“James and Wynne have made some accusations. I told them I was there and that I remembered. They asked about how you felt the next morning. It made me realize I didn’t ask you.” He swallowed, mesmerizing Ana with the bobbing of his Adam’s apple.
She chewed on her bottom lip.
“Please tell me what you are thinking,” he said sincerely.
“I am trying to figure out the point. Why do you care?”

The gentleness in his eyes scared her. “I care because it is one of the biggest regrets of my life. I never meant to hurt you. That morning, when I found out, I was devastated.”
Ana laughed. “You could have fooled me.”
“Don’t laugh, Ana,” he grimaced. “You have no idea.”
Ana nodded. “You’re right, I don’t.”
Then will you tell me? From your point of view?”
Before she could answer, she saw Wynne sprint in her direction. The look of panic on their faces told Ana something was
Wrong.
“What?” Ana asked, trying not to jump to conclusions. “What is the matter?”
“Alan.” Wynne panted. Her eyes were narrowed so that Ana understood which Alan she was talking about. Ana’s son.
Anastasia started running back toward the exit. “What happened?” she asked Wynne who was at her side.
“I don’t know. You need to go to the hospital.”
“I’ll drive you, Anastasia,” Damien said from right behind them.
“No!” Wynne and Ana shouted at the same time. Damien abruptly froze but they were already reaching the parking lot. Wynne forced Ana and got in the car.
Ana turned around and saw Damien looking confused. He was surveying the scene and he didn’t even know that his son was admitted to the hospital. She didn’t know what to expect when she reached the hospital, but her baby boy needed her and she would move heaven and hell to be there for him.
Ana found her father pacing in front of a little room. A couple of doctors were surrounding her baby/ Alan Jr. Had what looked like a tube sticking out of his mouth.
“Oh god,” she choked, rushing over. “Dad, what happened?”
“I don’t know… I only left him for a minute.”
“Dad…”
“He’s never gotten into there before, Ana. I don’t even know how he got it open,” her dad sobbed out the words.
“Dad!” Ana shouted.
