Bound by the CEO’s Baby By Sun Scar Chapter 13
Chapter 13
“Oh, piss off. She doesn’t belong to you,” Neil barked.
“She’s my employee and I am not going to let you take advantage of her.”
“Take advantage?” Neil turned to her.
“Mr. Wright, please go away,” she hissed as she stepped out from behind Neil. “I am not in need of being saved.”
Damien completely ignored her and spoke directly to Neil. “My employee is drunk and doesn’t know what she is doing. I suggest you find someone else to play with.”
“Employee? Really? It doesn’t look like you cared much for her in the past. from what I gathered.”
Neil’s calculation was too close to reality and Ana had to stop the discussion immediately.
“Neil,” she warned.
Neil turned and seemed to realize what he had said. He looked like a deer caught in the headlight, “I am so sorry. I’m just… going to… go..”
“Hey, don’t,” Ana whispered more so that she wasn’t left alone with Damien than anything else.
“Are you going to be okay?” he asked. “Call me when you reach home…”
“She is going to be fine!” Damien growled.
Neil quickly disappeared and Anastasia shook her head to clear her mind from the effects of alcohol. She wobbled a bit and felt Damien’s hands on her arms.
“Get off me!” she snarled.
“Jesus, Anastasia, what the hell were you thinking?”
“I was thinking that I would relieve some stress. What the hell were you thinking?” she fired back.
“You were going to fuck some random guy in a bar?” Damien scoffed loudly.
“Not that it is any of your business, Mr. Wright, but I have slept with random men after drinking before,” she challenged.
“And that makes it all better? God, what happened to you to turn you into this?” The last word was said like a curse.
“This?” she asked, her voice growing louder. She couldn’t believe that Mr. Slam–Bam–Thank–You–Ma’am was going to lecture her on her choices.
“You let him mark you?” Damien shouted as he fingered the bruise on her hand. The rough dancing had left a mark on her.
“What the hell?”
“You want to talk about marking me, Damien? Really?” she yelled back. She forgot all about how powerful he was. Somewhere in the background, the door opened again and Anna heard Wynne speak. But she was too angry to listen.
“You marked me permanently. You have no idea. I turned into this because of you!” she accused.
“What the fuck are you talking about?”
Ana opened her mouth to let him know exactly what he had done when she felt a warm hand warm around her waist while the other was pressed over her mouth, cutting off her words. “You don’t want to do this, Ana,” Wynne’s low voice whispered. in her ear. “Not here. Not like this.”
Chapter 13
James put a hand on Damien’s chest and pushed him back. They had a heated but quiet conversation out of Ana’s earshot. Wynne grabbed Ana and pulled her away, leaving James and Damien in the dark alley.
“You need to get out of here,” Wynne said. Ana slid into the car and saw Neil who was standing in the parking lot all the time. He smiled at her before looking away,
Damien had walked into the club for a group meeting. The moment he saw Ana, he thought he was a teenager drooling over a supermodel. She looked amazing in her dress and black heels which made her legs look miles long. Her hair was cascading over her shoulder but he could tell she had a little more skin and curves showing than he remembered from official meetings. Of course, other than the time he had seen her naked.
He felt the overwhelming need to touch her, so he brushed up against her on his way to the bathroom. And then he saw her in some random guy’s arms. He was close to her and she was whispering into his ears. Damien wanted to punch the man in the face for the smug look he threw. Damien knew he had no claim on her, but he sure as hell wanted one. And when they got frisky, Damien exploded, throwing his glass against the wall.
“Hey, asshole, what was that for?” the bartender barked.
“Mind your own business!” Damien threatened.
”
“You are on my property… it is my business.” Damien was prepared to yell profanities but he noticed that Ana was nowhere
to be found.
“Where did she go?”
“Mr. Wright, please leave her alone. She is just trying to have a good time,” Wynne said, shaking her head furiously.
“How do
you know Anastasia is not in trouble? She was drunk and that dude was all over her.”
The annoyed look Wynne gave him was accompanied by directions to where she had gone. Damien slammed the door open and saw the bastard holding Ana’s hand. He had no idea why it made him so angry. He hadn’t seen this woman in four years and he had only slept with her once. Prior to that, she had simply been a good employee.
Damien wasn’t supposed to feel so protective over her. But he did. The man turned to Damien, shielding Ana from him.
Their conversation escalated and then he saw the rough fingerprints, right along her jugular. Damien remembered how strongly Ana felt about being marked. She didn’t want to be treated like a possession. She had overheard conversations about it all along.
James stopped him in his track. Ana looked afraid. Damien’s hands clenched into fists when he thought she was scared of
him.
“Back off” James threatened.
Damien spun to face him. “What is going on, James? Why are my employees treating me like a predator and like she is a victim of mine?”
James shifted uncomfortably and over to his wife, who was shoving Anastasia into the car. Wynne looked at James, warning him not to say something stupid.
“It’s not my place,” he said slowly, remembering that he was still speaking to his boss. A boss who could fire him for impudence!
“Tell me-
me
“Mr. Wright, my wife, and her friend want to go home, It is after work hours, so I must leave….” he trailed off.
Damien watched them drive off and wondered what had happened to Ana over the past few years. Wynne and James knew but no one was talking to him. Obviously, Anastasia had told them something that Damien didn’t know.
