Chapter 27
Chapter 27
Tracy walked in on her high heels, her face full of concern. “Ms. Sanchez, you help William into his room later, and I’ll have the waiter bring ginger tea over.”
William stared at Tracy, his gaze sharp and dark. Tracy hurriedly looked away.
She knew William would be suspicious of her if she followed him, but what else could she do?
After all, she couldn’t leave William and Vanessa so close in the same room.
William didn’t have the extra energy to pursue what Tracy was up to now.
His breathing was getting rapid, and he was feeling more and more out of control of himself as he leaned over Vanessa. His hands clasped Vanessa’s waist so tightly as if he wanted to crumple her up into his body.
Vanessa realized that William was out of control at this moment. She immediately held him up.
With a crisp ding, the elevator stopped at the 13th floor.
“Room 1358,” William said to Vanessa.
“Got it.” Vanessa immediately helped William forward.
Tracy immediately made a call, saying. “Hello, is it the front desk? A cup of ginger tea for Room 1388. Make it quick, please!”
Vanessa frowned at Tracy’s words and helped William to the room.
She really hated women with Tracy’s personality.
After all, Tracy did not cherish the relationship back then, but now that they had broken, she started to pester William.
“Even though William and I have no feelings for each other, we have registered as a couple. What did Tracy take me for when she came to pester William?” Vanessa thought.
Since Tracy did not respect Vanessa, Vanessa naturally would not be polite to her as well.
She coldly told Tracy, “Thank you, Ms. Yost, but I’ll take care of my husband.”
She deliberately emphasized the word husband.
Tracy’s face stiffened, and then she snorted, thinking, “What an arrogant woman! Do you really think you’ll be able to hold the position of Mrs. Hawk forever?”
When she arrived at Room 1388, Vanessa realized helplessly that she didn’t have the key card.
William said, “Use my fingerprint.”
And then he reached out his hand and was about to use his fingerprint to unlock the door.
However, Tracy entered the code before he did.
Then she deliberately provoked Vanessa, saying. This is the exclusive presidential suite for William, and only William and I have the password. Come on, help William into the room first.”
After saying that, she reached out her hands and wanted to help William into the room.
But Vanessa slightly sidestepped and blocked Tracy.
Then she said, “Thanks for your reminder, Ms. Yost. I’ll change the password for the room in a few minutes. Ms. Yost, you can leave now. We’re going to rest now.”
Tracy felt a surge of anger in her heart, but not wanting to ruin her good impression in William’s mind, she said with a smile, “Well, I’ll leave as soon as the waiter brings the ginger tea.”
With that, she took a step toward the suite.
Vanessa quickly moved and blocked the door, coldly saying, “No need. I will arrange everything after the waiter sends the ginger tea over.
She had never seen such a pestering character before.
William dragged Vanessa into the room and kicked hard on his heel to close the door with a thud.
Tracy backed away quickly, or else her nose would have been broken by the door.
She stomped her feet in anger in place.
“William, how do you feel?” Vanessa helped William toward the room.
William suddenly pressed Vanessa against the wall and stared at her with red eyes.

Chapter 27
Vanessa was startled. William’s drunken look was kind of scary.
She immediately said. “You go lie down for a while. You’ll feel better with ginger tea in a while.”
“Honey, I…” William felt hot all around already, and it took all his self–control to keep the last of himself awake.
He felt a little cooler when he was pressed against Vanessa.
He leaned down to kiss her lips, and that soft, cool touch soothed him all over. He only wanted to take more.
“You?” Vanessa sensed something was wrong with William. He should not be like this if he were only drunk!
She reached out to touch his forehead. It was hot.
“You have a fever?” Vanessa asked.
William’s voice was hoarse. “No, I…” He found it difficult to say that.
Looking into her clear eyes, William found himself too embarrassed to tell her those dirty things in this world.
He never thought Tracy, who always appeared noble and innocent, would do such a disgusting thing.
He planted another kiss on Vanessa’s lips again.
William’s seemingly drunk behavior made Vanessa panic.
More importantly, she’d learned much more about him today, which intimidated her.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
As if saved by the bell, Vanessa immediately struggled out of William’s embrace. “I’ll get the door!”
But William reached out and pulled Vanessa toward his arms as he circled her waist.
He tightened his grip around her waist.
Suddenly, the sound of entering the code rang out at the door, and Tracy walked in with ginger tea in her hand from the
waiter.
She naturally knew that ginger tea wouldn’t work on William, but she needed it for the act.
She came in with the ginger tea and saw William with his arm around Vanessa, her heart filled with overwhelming frustration.
She immediately came over and said, “William, take the ginger tea first. It will make you feel better.”
William looked askance at Tracy with red eyes.
Looking into William’s eyes, Tracy knew he was now so clouded in his consciousness that he couldn’t tell who was who..
Moreover, people would lose their minds when their consciousness was controlled, and the subconscious would prevail.
Tracy just couldn’t believe that the woman William subconsciously wanted wasn’t her.
She immediately came closer and brought the cup to William’s lips.
Meanwhile, she deliberately pressed her body against William’s.
Vanessa tried to take the cup, but Tracy avoided it.
Vanessa was about to help William away when she suddenly saw William’s eyes locking onto Tracy, his scarlet eyes carrying a deep emotion that was hard to restrain.
She was in a bit of a dilemma and a bit embarrassed.
She was most afraid that William still wanted to be close to Tracy in his heart when he was drunk.
With this in mind, she took half a step backward.
At this distance, she’d take a step forward if William called her, and if he didn’t, she’d sort of give in.
Before, she thought she was lucky to find a man with potential.
When she attended this banquet, she thought William was perhaps in business circles and therefore knew some of the company’s bosses.
But what the foreign businessman and William talked about just now shocked her.
A profit of 3 billion dollars. She never even dared to imagine that tremendous amount of money.
And only then did she realize that William was a top tycoon.
She didn’t deserve it, and she was afraid!
With that failed experience with Jackson, she didn’t dare to get into another mismatched, fruitless, and hurtful relationship.
Chapter 27
She only wanted to find someone similar to herself to get married.
If William were to get back together with Tracy now, Vanessa would pull out in time.
Seeing that Vanessa had taken half a step back, Tracy slightly raised her chin, thinking that Vanessa knew her place.
She secretly blamed Miley for being a stupid partner and wondered why she hadn’t called Vanessa yet.
William struggled to stay awake. When he saw Vanessa take half a step back, he reached out to pull her in.
At this moment, Vanessa’s phone rang, and she immediately picked it up.
Listening to the call, Vanessa blanched. “What’s wrong with my dad? I’ll rush over immediately.”
The hospital nurse called and said that Vanessa’s dad was not doing well.
