Blind Date With A Billionaire By Sylvia Nancy

Chapter 21

Chapter 21

Chapter 21

William locked eyes with Vanessa. And he gazed at her intently.

Vanessa asked, “Will you have no regrets no matter what happens?”

William nodded and said, “Yes. No matter what happens, I will have no regrets.”

In the future. Tracy’s life had nothing to do with him.

Vanessa extended her pinky finger towards William and said, “Then let’s work together to nurture our marriage.”

William had already made himself clear. If Vanessa were to say to him again along the line of, “If you still love her, if you’re willing to go back to her. I’m willing to divorce you to make way for you two,” it would be sacrilegious and an insult to William

William and Vanessa were of the same kind..

When they were in love, they would give their whole heart and soul and be open and honest with each other.

When they ended a relationship, no matter how painful it was, they would never look back.

William saw a starry gleam in Vanessa’s eyes. He reached out and hooked his little finger with hers. Then he said, “No matter if we’re poor or rich. I’ll always be your support.”

Vanessa felt deeply moved. She pressed her thumb against his and made a promise. She said, “No matter if we’re healthy or ill, I’ll always be by your side, through thick and thin.”

William smiled at Vanessa and extended his hand to pull her into his embrace.

Vanessa didn’t wear high heels. And she was half a head shorter than him. He liked scooping her up like this, reaching the height of her neck and holding her in his arms.

His hand rested on the back of her head, allowing him to touch her beautiful hair.

When he raised his head, his chin could rest on top of her head, and he could smell the fragrance of her hair.

Vanessa’s nose bumped against William’s chest, causing a slight twinge. But she found comfort in his warm embrace.

On the way back to the hospital room, William asked Vanessa if she had any plans the day after tomorrow. He wanted to attend a business party to meet more people but needed a female companion.

Vanessa immediately accepted his invitation.

She would always find a way to make time, even if incredibly busy, as long as she could help William.

William wanted to take Vanessa to buy wedding jewelry, but she declined because she wanted to save money.

William argued that they would need jewelry for the business party as well.

Vanessa suggested that they could rent the jewelry instead.

Seeing her concern, William smiled helplessly and said, “Well. We’ll buy them in the future.”

“Sure.” Vanessa smiled back at William.

At the same time, Elena wasn’t in a good mood.

Elena had been waiting for news all along.

It wasn’t until the evening that she received a phone call.

Her plan had failed,

The people she hired didn’t hit Vanessa. Instead, they accidentally killed an unknown person.

Elena became furious and started scolding angrily over the phone. “Are you all useless? Huh? How did I explain it to you? You had to choose the right moment and ensure it’s a fatal blow.”

The person on the other end of the phone explained, “It’s not that we didn’t perform well. It was just too sudden. We clearly saw Vanessa crossing the road, but she suddenly stepped back.”

Elena was furious. And she said, “Couldn’t you brake in time, turn back, or wait at the roadside for her to cross? Huh?” “We did see her crossing the road, so we thought it was the perfect opportunity for a fatal blow. We would make it if she hadn’t received a phone call and unexpectedly stepped back. As our car was moving too fast, the inertia caused us to hit another pedestrian, the person explained.

Elena gritted her teeth in anger and said, “Well, now we’ve messed up big time. If someone investigates this accident,

know what to do?”

There won’t be any investigation. We have settled with the deceased’s family and compensated them 60 thousand dollars.

The deceased’s family was pleased with the money. You may rest assured. We paid for it ourselves. We will find another opportunity to complete the mission,” the person on the phone said.

After hearing that the deceased’s family wouldn’t pursue legal action, Elena’s anger subsided.

The person on the phone continued to console Elena. He said, “Don’t worry. With the fast pace of life these days, accidents happen every day. When the time comes, we will handle it cleanly.

Elena’s expression improved slightly, and she instructed over the phone, “You find another opportunity to make it. And as long as the job is done, I won’t mistreat you. I’ll provide the 60 thousand dollars as compensation to the deceased’s family.”

“Well, Okay. Thank you!” The person on the other end of the phone showed a submissive attitude.

Elena rolled her eyes and hung up the phone.

At around eight o’clock in the evening. William received a report.

His men carefully examined Tracy’s recent whereabouts. They confirmed that Tracy had only arranged to meet Vanessa, and the car accident had nothing to do with her.

They also investigated the driver, who had been driving for 13 years. The driver and his immediate family’s accounts had shown no abnormalities recently, and there had been no major purchases lately.

They also reviewed the driver’s recent movements by accessing surveillance footage from various road sections. The driver was found to be delivering goods specifically for a landscaping company.

Most of the time, the driver operated a pickup truck, occasionally a larger truck. This was because the landscaping company had a higher demand for delivering succulents and small potted plants to flower shops.

The driver had no contact with Tracy or anyone around her recently.

William looked at the report and narrowed his eyes.

He replied with a message. [Find two capable men to discreetly protect Vanessa.]

Time flew by quickly.

In the blink of an eye, the day of the business party arrived.

Over the past few days, Danny had been recovering well. He spent every day by his father’s bedside in the hospital room.

Although Henry’s condition was not good, it stabilized to some extent.

Vanessa had also become more at ease.

During these days, she managed to sketch out the design of the ring and created a complete set of maple leaf jewelry designs.

Things with Mr. Gris had been dealt with, for now at least.

Around four o’clock in the afternoon, William drove over to pick up Vanessa.

Today, he didn’t drive the Chevrolet but a Bentley instead.

Vanessa was extremely shocked. She looked up at William.

The texture of his suit today seemed exceptionally good. It was the kind that looked expensive.

Noticing Vanessa’s scrutiny, William explained, “You can’t go to a business party like this in a shabby car, or people will look down on you.”

He couldn’t lie to Vanessa and say the car was borrowed, but he also didn’t dare to directly tell her it was his own car. Although they hadn’t known each other long. William felt he understood Vanessa quite well.

She was different from many other women. While others would desire to be with someone wealthy, she seemed to view wealth as a source of pressure and burden.

Perhaps it had to do with her upbringing or her past romantic relationship.

After this business party, he would explain everything to her properly.

After hearing William say that driving in a shabby car wouldn’t be suitable, Vanessa thought that William rented the Bentley.

She nodded in understanding, saying, “Alright.”

Sometimes, business people need to maintain a good appearance.

William took Vanessa to get a makeover.

After the styling was done, William handed Vanessa the dress and jewelry.

Vanessa was stunned when she saw them.

The set of jewelry was worth at least 400 thousand dollars.

She thought the Bentley car was rented, so the jewelry must be rented too.

She took the jewelry and dress. And then she asked, “Is it a high–end business party?”

“Yeah,” William responded. He smiled and added, “Don’t worry too much. I’ll be with you the whole time.”

“Okay.” Vanessa replied with a smile.

She wasn’t actually nervous.

In the past, Jackson used to take her to various business banquets to help her get used to them in advance.

Then she went to change into the dress.

After Vanessa opened the fitting room door, she held the hem of her dress and walked out gracefully.

William had been flipping through fashion magazines on the couch. As he caught a glimpse of purple and looked up, he was wholly captivated by Vanessa’s beauty.
