Blind Date With A Billionaire By Sylvia Nancy

Chapter 19

Chapter 19

Chapter 19

“Close your eyes,” William said to Vanessa, who had been staring at him with wide eyes in a daze.

Vanessa immediately closed her eyes, but her eyelashes trembled lightly.

She felt nervous and uncomfortable.

Partly because they were not familiar with each other. And partly because they were in a hospital corridor.

William’s kiss descended once again.

His lips were soft and tender.

Vanessa passively accepted his kiss.

Then William pressed Vanessa against the wall.

Just now, Vanessa’s vulnerability resonated with him deeply.

When Tracy left, he felt just as devastated as Vanessa did.

He stood in the airport lobby all the while.

And he was waiting for Tracy to turn around.

That day, he told himself that as long as Tracy returned, he would marry her.

Even if Tracy was materialistic and constantly weighing the pros and cons.

It didn’t matter. He could give her whatever she wanted.

But in the end, he was mistaken.

Just a moment ago, Vanessa had said something that he greatly appreciated. She said that once you broke up, there should be no further intersection.

On this matter, Vanessa’s way of handling things outshined Tracy by miles.

What did Tracy do after the breakup?

As she was leaving him, she wanted to keep him hanging.

After she firmly went abroad, she continuously sent him messages on WhatsApp, asking him to wait for her.

Yesterday at the Coain Cafe, Tracy acted coquettishly. She said she was wrong and just wanted to pursue her dreams. Besides, she asked him not to be angry.

Tracy actually thought William was only mad at her.

He told Tracy he was already married. Tracy even asked him to find someone to annul his marriage with Vanessa.

She spoke about it so casually as if it were all a matter of course.

He asked Tracy what reasons they should use to annul the marriage.

But Tracy just let him come up with any reason. She said that it could be exploited through legal loopholés. And she advised him to create a fake report, which showed Vanessa had a sexually transmitted infection.

At that moment, he truly saw Tracy in a new light.

It turned out that in the past six years, he had never truly known Tracy.

His love for her blinded his eyes, making him see only her virtues.

He didn’t want to dwell on the past anymore. William gently lifted Vanessa’s chin.

Vanessa anxiously opened her eyes. Then she quickly lowered her eyelids, not daring to meet William’s gaze.

As William looked at Vanessa in this state, a slight smile flashed across his lips.

He leaned down and gently kissed Vanessa’s lips again. Then he whispered softly. “From now on, you have me. And I have

you.

“Well,” Vanessa replied.

At the same time, Keith was peeking from a hospital room. He kept shouting in his mind, “Come on, man. Stop looking and just kiss her quickly.”

As he saw William kiss Vanessa again, Keith had a relieved smile on his face, like that of a proud father.

Back in the hospital room, Vanessa took photos of the design sketches for two brooches. After that, she sent them to Mr.

Gris.

Then she made a phone call to Mr. Gris, saying that she would continue working on the design sketches.

Once these few days passed and her father and brother were in better condition, she would return to the office.

Upon seeing the design sketches, Mr. Gris was instantly amazed. His tone towards Vanessa had improved significantly. And he advised her to create more design sketches while politely asking her to take care of her family.

Listening to Mr. Gris’s tone, Vanessa knew he tacitly approved of her taking a few more days off. She breathed a sigh of relief.

William saw the design sketch that Vanessa had drawn. He reached out and picked up the unfinished engagement ring design. He said, “It’s beautiful.”

“I just drew it casually.” Vanessa felt a little embarrassed.

“I have a friend who works in jewelry. How about we keep this design for ourselves? I’ll have my friend customize it, William suggested.

“Really?” Vanessa’s eyes shimmered with excitement.

She had once dreamed that someday if she became a jewelry designer, she would design her wedding ring.

Even though Jackson wasn’t the one she was marrying, she still wanted to wear the ring designed by herself.

“Of course,” William replied.

“In that case, I’ll finish the drawing. And once it’s done, I’ll give it to you.” Vanessa was overjoyed.

“Okay,” William replied. He picked up the design sketches of the other two brooches. Then he said, “In the future, don’t leave the design sketches lying around. You should protect your creativity.”

Tracy was also a jewelry designer. Once, her ideas were stolen, which made her angry for a long time.

“Well,” Vanessa replied. She took the design sketches, folded them neatly, and put them in her bag.

After lunch, William went to the company.

And Vanessa took her brother downstairs to soak up some sun.

She found an open lawn and prepared to record foreign language teaching videos.

She had created two separate channels, one dedicated to teaching Thenolish and the other dedicated to teaching Stalenish.

In her videos, she never showed her face. The content was mainly divided into two parts. One was focused on teaching. pronunciation, grammar, and writing. The content was gradually progressing from basics to more advanced topics.

In the other part, she would randomly tell stories in a foreign language. During the storytelling segments, she spoke slower and added subtitles.

Combining both channels, she had over four hundred thousand followers. Although the income from the videos wasn’t significant, it still provided her with some extra earnings.

Then she started recording. But before she could even go for two minutes, her phone rang.

It was an unfamiliar number.

She answered the phone. A gentle female voice spoke from the other end, “Hello. May I speak to Miss Vanessa, please?”

“Hello. This is Vanessa, Vanessa politely responded.

“Well. I’m a headhunter from LinkedIn. Ms. Sanchez, do you have a moment? I have several major jewelry companies that are offering high–paying positions for designers. And I’d like to give you a chance to communicate with each other,” the woman on the other end said.

Vanessa thought inwardly. “Is she really a headhunter?”

Vanessa furrowed her brow in skepticism. She was so busy and hadn’t been considering a job change recently. So she declined. She said, “Well. I’m currently not available. And I don’t have any plans to switch jobs at the moment.”

“I see. Ms. Sanchez, how about setting aside some time for a meal? And I will come over to meet you. Don’t worry. I won’t take up too much of your time. I’ll share the recruitment information from those jewelry companies with you. When you’re ready for a job change, you can contact me. You may rest assured. I won’t bother you,” the woman said.

“I have some time around 4 PM today. Can we meet at the Starbucks on Yanice Road? What do you think?” Vanessa sought the other person’s opinion.

The Starbucks on Yanice Road was just across from the Caritas Private Hospital. So it wouldn’t take much time.

“Sure. Well. Let’s meet at 4 PM. I won’t disturb you any longer. Goodbye.” The other person immediately confirmed the time and hung up.

As Vanessa contemplated, she thought it wouldn’t hurt to take a look at the job requirements of those major jewelry

companies. Just in case she had a job change in the future.

Additionally, she wanted to inquire about the current market situation for jewelry designers outside.

Soon, it was already four o’clock in the afternoon.

Vanessa arrived at Starbucks five minutes early.

When it was exactly four o’clock, a woman sat down in front of Vanessa.

Vanessa momentarily thought she was dizzy.

She thought inwardly. “Is she a headhunter?

“Why does she resemble William’s ex–girlfriend so much?”

Ms. Sanchez, hello.” Tracy extended her hand to Vanessa.

“Hello. Vanessa shook hands with Tracy.

In her mind, Vanessa couldn’t help but wonder if William’s ex–girlfriend worked as a headhunter.

It was a possibility.

Vanessa was still waiting for Tracy to share the recruitment information from the jewelry companies. However, she heard Tracy say, “If you leave William, I can fulfill any of your conditions.”

“What?” Vanessa furrowed her brow as she looked at Tracy.

Tracy had a condescending smile on her face as she said, “A marriage without love won’t last.”
