Chapter 32
Eleanor Amato - POV
“What the fuck did you do, Eleanor!” I heard Xavier scream from inside the closet before he marched out, looking beyond livid. “Didn't I tell you to not touch my things?” he asked me, and this only made me smirk at him.
“You did. But then, when I thought about it.” I paused and smiled at him. “I too have equal rights in that closet since I am your mate. So I did a little rearranging.” I answered, and this made him curl his hands into fists.
“You are getting your hopes high in vain, Eleanor. Don't think you can permanently stay here, and that, I would accept you as my mate.”
“I never thought that, Xavier. If we were going to share a room, then we would have to share other things as well.” I asserted, and this only earned me a deadly glare. “I am getting late for work. So I will see you at dinner.” I told him before I walked out of the room.
“He didn't look too pissed.” Erica sighed in relief, but that's when a smile appeared on my face.
“He will be when he realizes that all his clothes smell like us,” I told her as I walked out of the house on my way to the bakery. I took out my phone and began scrolling through my social media when I bumped into someone and almost lost my footing if it wasn't for a masculine hand that broke my fall.
“My god!” I exclaimed as I straightened myself and stepped back. “Thank you. And I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there.” I told him, but I could swear that he had not been there a few seconds ago.
“It's all right, it wasn't your mistake,” he answered, and while he avoided looking me in the eye, which made a frown appear on my face. He was quite taller than me, about six foot two inches, with a handsome face and the body of a warrior, but why did he avoid my glance when only the omegas are supposed to avoid eye contact with any high-ranking wolf?
“You know a warrior doesn't have to avoid eye contact, right?” I didn't know why I said it out loud, but something about him kept bothering me.
“I am not a warrior, well, not anymore, Miss. I am an omega,” he said, but there was something about the tone he used. It caused disgust and agony when he said he was an omega.
“Oh, I am so sorry.”
“It's all right, Miss. Amato,” he replied before he nodded his head and walked out of there.
“I am getting a bad vibe from him, Ellie,” Erica said, and I agreed with her. Leaving that bizarre situation behind, I continued walking to the bakery. Once I arrived, I made my way to the cashier to see Juliet with a bright smile on her face.
“Hello, Miss. Amato, are you here to bake the cake for the naming ceremony?” she asked me, and I nodded my head.
“Yes, isn't Miss. Tanner here today?” I asked her, missing the bubbly woman who would usually greet me.
“No, Miss. Tanner has gone to visit someone. But I will make sure I help you out in anything you want.”
“Thank you so much, Juliet. I will call you if I need your help.” I told her, and she nodded her head before I walked into the kitchen. Since Jasmin didn't give me a specific flavor or design for the cake, I thought about working on my magic. For the flavors, I chose a vanilla sponge cake and filled it with a berry component in the center that was mixed with whipping cream.
Since Jasmin wanted a small cake, I made sure to bake a one-kilogram cake and started coating the cake with whipping cream that had the colors of purple, pink, and yellow. To finish the cake, I made miniature baby shoes and clothes using fondant and placed them on the cake. “Oh wow, you are truly talented.” I turned around to see Juliet standing behind me with her eyes sparkling with awe.
“Thank you. I think I am getting the hang of it, in decorating the cake.” I answered.
“Jasmin would love this,” Juliet said, and this made me turn around to look at her.
“Do you know Jasmin?”
“Of course, she was the person who was baking all the delicacies in here before she went into labor,” Juliet explained, and my mouth formed an ‘o’. “I didn't know that.”
“That's all right. But thank you so much for doing this for the pack, Miss. Amato. You are truly the perfect beta female.”
“I am just doing my duty, Juliet,” I told her. I placed the cake in the fridge and started packing my things to leave.
Unknown POV
“You should calm down, my love.” he consoled me, but this only angered me further. I got up from our bed and pulled the silk bed sheet to cover my naked body while he leaned back on the headboard.
“You promised you would kill him, but it's been weeks, and he is still walking around very much alive.” I spat out. He let out a tired sigh, got up from the bed, and walked towards me. My chest was moving in and out rapidly with all that pent-up anger.
“I understand your hatred and anger. But if we kill him now, there is no fun in that. He humiliated me, and he threw you out of his life, I think we should teach him a lesson that he will never forget.” he consoled, but this only made me from.
We got a perfect chance to kill him a few days ago, and this idiot spoilt it, and now he thinks we will get another chance to kill him.
“But what are we going to do?”
“I just found the perfect object to fulfill all our needs,” he said with a vicious smile on his face, and for some odd reason, I trusted him, knowing that he would never betray me.
