Beta Xavier Costa.

Chapter 13

Eleanor Amato - POV

“Well, now that the decorations are out of the way. Do you guys have a location in mind?” I asked them, after writing down the color of the flowers that they needed for their mating ceremony.

“We were thinking of having the ceremony by the river,” Philip said, and I noted that down. “Also, is it possible to have it in three days?” he asked me, and I nodded my head.

They are not planning to have a huge celebration, just a few of their friends and family will be attending the mating ceremony, so it would not be a hassle for me to get everything ready in three days. “That would not be an issue,” I told them with a smile on my face.

“Okay, I guess we will see you at the mating ceremony, Miss. Amato.” Jane said as they both got up from their place, and I nodded my head. After they had left my office, I slumped down on my chair and looked down at all the notes that I had taken.

Alpha Derek does take very good care of his pack members.

“Of course, I mean, who would sponsor to pay for the entire expense of your mating ceremony? This is the first time I have seen a pack do this.” Erica said, and I nodded my head.

“We might have to go and check the river though,” I said, and Erica nodded her head. After I managed to jot down all the phone numbers that I needed, I first made a call to the pack kitchen and ordered a cup of coffee and a chicken sandwich.

Knock knock.

“Come in,” I yelled, and soon an omega walked in with my order, and she placed it on my desk.

“Do you need anything else, Miss. Amato?” she asked me, and I shook my head.

“No, thank you so much,” I told her, and she bowed her head at me before she walked out of there. I took a sip of my coffee and began my calls to the bakery first. By the time I finalized everything, my food was long gone, and my hand started aching with all the writing that I did.

“Can we go for a run, Ellie?” Erica asked me, and I looked at the time and shuddered my shoulder.

“Maybe we can,” I said, and when I was about to get up from my place, my office door opened, and Xavier walked in.

What the hell does he want now?

“Going somewhere?” he asked me with an arched eyebrow.

“I think you made it pretty clear that we would not meddle with each other's personal life, beta Costa?” I asked him, but he remained silent, his eyes showed the anger that was brewing inside him.

Well, looks like I have hit a nerve.

“What do you want?” I asked him, getting straight to the point.

“We are invited to dine with the neighborhood alpha tonight, so I want you ready by six.”

“Why am I needed?” I asked him with a frown on my face.

“Because you are my mate. And I want to make sure I can finalize the alliance with this Alpha. Do you want to ask any more questions?” he asked me, and I shook my head. “Good, I will see you at six,” he said before he walked out of there.

“Can we stay back just to spite him?” Erica asked me, and even though the idea sounded tempting, I knew that I could not do that to this pack. I vowed to be a good beta female during this six-month duration, and I will not back up on my words.

Let's go on that run some other time.

I told Erica as I walked out of the pack house. Since my clothes are not here, I know I have to shop for something for this event, and the thought of spending all my hard-earned money just dampened my mood. I walked back to Xavier’s house, and when I was about to walk inside the house, I saw a pickup truck coming towards the house, it stopped right in front of me.

A warrior quickly got out of there and walked towards me. “Miss. Amato, your father has sent all your things.” the warrior informed me, and that was when I saw the trunk, sure enough, there were a lot of cardboard boxes.

At least he was thoughtful enough to do that.

“Would you be able to help me bring it up to my room?” I asked him, and he nodded his head. So that is what we did for the next hour. After bringing in the last box, the warrior left the house while I began opening everything to search for a dress I could wear.

“Which one should I wear?” I asked Erica as I held up two dresses. One was an A-line black dress that stopped an inch above my knees, and the other was an off-shoulder pink dress.

“Let's go with the pink one. A pop of color is what we would need right now.” Erica said, and I nodded my head. After taking a shower, I quickly put on the dress, did my hair in a half-up half-down hairstyle, and did some light makeup.

I walked back to the box that had all my shoes, pulled out my pair of baby pink heels wore them, and took my bag. I walked to the mirror and looked at the output, and a smile graced my face. Well, I don't look like a slut like last night. Just the perfect style that I like.

I looked down at my watch to see that I still had five more minutes to six, so I walked downstairs to see that Xavier was still not there.

I thought girls took a long time to dress.

I know there is no point in me standing like an idiot in the foyer waiting for him, so I walk into the living room to watch some TV while he comes downstairs.
