Beta Mates

His sticky seed was starting to run out of her as he let her down on shaky legs. He was breathing heavily as he touched foreheads with her. “You are going to kill me woman” he gasped. She kissed him shakily as she was trying to catch her breath. They both finished washing and got out of the shower to dry. When they saw what time it was they both muttered a few expletives and threw on clothes and rushed to the training field.

The scent of him and sex hung heavily on her even though they had showered and as she passed the warriors they all sniffed the air and smiled to each other. Shane was standing in front of the group waiting for them. Adam walked up to him and grinned cheekily. “Sorry we are late but I had a horny mate to take care of.” Kara gasped and turned beet red. She turned to look at her mate with a savage glare. Shane just laughed and congratulated them on reaching the milestone of their mating. Now all he had to do was bite her and leave the mating mark and they would finish the mating bond and they could communicate with their minds.

Kara got the group started on their moves and went to the lower field where the women waited to start learning their self defense moves. She took her time and showed them step by step how to take down the enemy with little force. ″Remember, she said, just because you are smaller doesn’t mean you are weaker. You have a brain, use it to beat your larger opponent.” She had just shown them how to do a hip toss and how to break a choke hold when Adam walked over to her. She was still pissed at his comment to Shane that morning, he didn’t need to embarrass her in front of the warriors and the Alpha so she sweetly called him over and used him as the tackling dummy for the class. He had to pick himself off the ground several times to the amusement of his mate and the females of the class. “She is still mad, she wasn’t holding back on those punches he thought wryly rubbing at his face and arms. I’m going to have some bruises from this, I guess I went too far on the teasing this time.”

He left her to her class and he walked back to the kitchen to grab a quick bagel or muffin since they both missed breakfast. He grabbed a couple bagels and threw some crispy bacon and cheese in them and put them in a bag for him and his mate to snack on before lunch. Hopefully she will take it as a peace offering and quit flipping him on his ass. He walked back up to Kara’s class and handed her a bagel so she could eat. She thanked him with a quick kiss letting him know that he was forgiven. He ran back up to the warrior class when the Alpha caught his eye.

They both continued with their classes until the lunch break and sat together with hips and legs touching during the brief break. He kissed her softly before they resumed their classes and went back to drilling moves until they were done for the day.

Adam saw Kara heading to their room for a shower and decided not to follow her. If he did he knew they would be in bed again and even though the sex was the best ever they need to talk about where her mind is at now. He walked over and started a discussion with Shane about the meeting with the packs that was to occur in the next couple days and wanted to make sure security was alert for the new visitors to show up soon.

Kara finished showering, got dressed and walked out to the back patio and sat down at a picnic table deep in thought. Adam walked up to Kara. She was sitting by herself and she looked pensive. “I was talking to your sister and she told me to talk to you. You need to open up to me about why you are holding back, that is why I didn’t mark you last night.” He took a seat beside her and took her hand in his large gentle hands. “You know you can trust me, I love you and that won’t change” he stated. “Maybe it will” she muttered.
