Beauty and His Beast [MxM] (UNEDITED)

Chapter 13

Ares POV

I blinked a few times, trying to regain my consciousness and fight through the dizziness and fatigue I felt.

Almost like I was trapped in a pool of thick tar, slowly sinking in while I tried to stay at the surface and fight through. I could hear so many different sounds around me making it so difficult to tell where I actually was, but one thing I knew for certain.

I was not in my home land any longer.

I could tell by the various smells around me, most of which smelled like something deadly toxic, unlike the pure smells that surrounded me as a child and I could feel my body tensing as I looked around in the darkness I was trapped in, trying to figure out just where I was.

I could tell from the movement around me that I was in some sort of cart, headed to where, I had no idea.

I slumped down and let out a shaky breath as I tried to gather my thoughts and plans when I narrowed my eyes as I recalled the earlier events.

I had been kidnapped by Orcs, our greatest rival since the beginning of time, but how they managed to get into the palace without alerting anyone was a complete mystery to me. It was almost like they knew exactly when was the right time to enter, which only led to one thought.

Did we have a traitor in our ranks?

My thoughts were halted when I felt the cart pull to a stop, causing me to fall front with a hiss when the ropes around my wrists pulled against my skin.

"Open the gate!" I heard someone yell, followed by the sounds of a huge metal gate ripping through the sands below and opening.

I could feel myself further tense as I felt the cart begin to move once more, causing me to fall back against the beam behind me. I sat there, with limited movement, as the cart continued to move for a few more minutes, until it came to a stop.

I listened to the sounds around me, hoping to gage from that what was going to happen next, when I heard the door to the cart was open, flooding the cart with sudden light that blinded me.

"Rise and shine princess." The Orc that happened to open the cart door uttered as he entered the cart and walked behind me.

I felt him untie something me behind, releasing me from the beam, but not removing the restraints on my arms, not that I expected him to, I didn't think he was that stupid.

He shoved me in front of him, making me turn around and gasp at the sight in front of me. The sight that I had only ever seen in books and paintings, but never in real life before.

The Orc Palace.

Said to have almost matched ours in size and power, leaving them with the only chance of actually defeating us, but over the years as we grew and gained more allies, that seemed almost impossible, until I was standing here. On Orc soil in Orc territory.

"Move. The king wishes to see you." The Orc behind me said, pushing me forward toward the giant stone step in front of me that lead to the main gate.

I had no choice but to walk forward, mainly because I had no escape strategy yet and I was not about to be a dumbass idiot and try to be a hero when I knew I would end up dead within a second. Instead I followed him as he walked in front of me and pulled the rope that was tied to my wrists.

"Hey Hybrid! Feed the horses!" He yelled to someone behind us making me narrow my eyes at the term I was so sure I had heard before when I widened my eyes and turned my head swiftly.

He was there! When I was taken! It was his fault.

I turned around, but couldn't seem to make out just which of them was him exactly for they all looked the same. All ugly beasts staring at me as if I had done something to them when they were the ones that had taken me out of my home by force.

I walked behind the huge Orc in front me as he led me into a room that I was assuming was their version of what we would call a throne room. The entire room was covered in raw stoned walls and darkness , almost like it was the palace of the devil himself.

I was led to the middle, where the Orc had left me and retreated back. I raised my eyebrow and turned around, wondering where he was going when I head a door somewhere to the side being opened. I turned my gaze and watched as numerous orcs entered the room, all huge and double my size.

They entered and sat down at the rows of seats around the throne room that looked as though it had been carved out of a solid rock and as they sat, I could each and every one of their gazes locked on me. Some looked at me with contempt while others looked at me with something else in their eyes, something I was not even going to bother to try to understand.

A moment later, another door opened and huge Orc entered. The aura of power emanating off him and filling the room with immediate silence as he walked in and sat down on the throne. He looked at me and leaned against the throne.

"You must be Prince Ares, heir to the Fae." He asked, making me raise my eyebrow at him.

"That was my name and title the last time I checked." I replied and watched him smirk and he raised his hand and placed it under his jaw, cupping it as if I was the most amusing thing to watch.

"You have a mouth on you. For some reason, that excites me." He replied and stood up.

I watched as he walked towards me until he stood in front of me. I looked up at his huge figure, towering over mine as he bent down as grabbed my by the jaw gritting his teeth.

"I'm going to make sure you regret ever opening that mouth of yours."
