Baby Daddy Facade

Chapter 36: Dad didn`t come.

"A man is halfway in love with a woman who listens to him." ~ Brendan Francis.

Angelo Le roux.
*Flashback*
Yasmine and I had been avoiding each other for days, residing in the same home didn't make it easy. I knew she wanted to me
apologise but I was also waiting for her apology. She didn't treat Raina with the respect that she deserved. Speaking of Raina
Williams I had not laid my eyes on her ever since a month back when the chaos occurred back at my parents home.
"Yasmine, we need to talk." I sat across her as she painted her nails.
"Yes, we do." She murmured closing to the cap of the nail Polish bottle.
"Yasmine-i-i-i-" I was ready to break this wedding off, i couldn't marry someone whom made me more stressed than anything. I
thought she was the one but no I was wrong.. it was just infatuation for the moment and the sooner I had realised it, the better.
"I'm pregnant." She whispered.
"Angelo, I'm pregnant." She repeated. I was shocked beyond shocked. It definitely wasn't joy, i couldn't be having a third child. I
just wasn't ready.
"No-" i abruptly stood up. I had been careful with Yasmine, i know i had. She was obviously trying to test me.
"Angelo you are going to be a father, again. I see how much you love the twins and how good you are to them." She was beside
me, her hand gently massaging my shoulder. I couldn't think straight this had to be a joke, i wasn't ready for another child but I
wasn't going to put her through what I put Raina through. I wasn't going to tell her to remove it. I wasn't going to leave her
helpless. I wasn't- i had to man up atleast be there for this child.
"Angelo ?" She brought me out of my daze.
"That's wonderful." Ofcourse the words tasted somber coming out of my mouth. It seemed like this wasn't the first time a woman
had told me these words before.

Here I was standing a two months after in front of my own reflection in a tuxedo. "This one looks good right ?" Brad asked behind
me fixing his bow tie and I gave a firm nod.
"Don't sulk Angie.." Brad said the last part in a thick British accent.
"I don't really care whatever suit, i wed in. What time is it ?" I asked Brad.
"Almost four pm." He said looking at his wrist watch.
"Oh shit shit shit shit..." I quickly began unbuttoning my white dress shirt.
"What the bloody hell ?" Brad bellowed in a confused manor.
"Ashton Ashton, oh shit Ashton is going to be so mad at me." I said in a panicked voice.
"Yasmine will even be more mad ?" He gave me a quirky grin and I looked at him with a confused face.
"What do you mean she will be mad ? This is Ashton's first football match, I'm already twenty-minutes late." I grumbled.
"Today is also your unborn child's first ultrasound." Brad said in a low tone and I was instantly caught off guard.
"No, that's actually on Thursday mate." I chuckled but he remained still.
"Angelo, today is Thursday." He said looking at his iPhone X that he had recently bought a week ago. Brad was one person who
was always amazed with technology and always wanted to keep up. "I have the timetable right here on my calender, the grooms
fitting that we are doing right now, the decor, the food tasting, the cake tasting, the car venue...I have it all right here as your best
man and right hand man." Brad said showing me the dates on his phone calender. I was caught out of daze.
"But Ashton-" i ran my hand through my wet hair, today had been so busy I hardly had time to do anything like to dry my hair.
"Ashton can wait, you know how Yaya is." Brad gave me a comforting smile and I sighed.
"We should probably get going.." He said and I nodded sadly. Brad called the four other grooms man and informed them that I
had to leave but he would stay to check on the design and what not. I was really lucky to have chosen Brad as my best man, he
was well organized and had my interests at heart.
But I had let Ashton down.

Raina Williams.
"Go Ashtonaldinho !!!" Gray yelled from the bleachers. It seemed to encourage Ashton to play harder.
"Where is that coming from ?" I giggled.
"Ronaldinho the Soccer legend." He said it like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Right." I looked at all directions, Angelo must have been running late.
"Uncle Gray, can we get some ice cream ?" Ashley said pulling on Grayson's designer shirt.
"Calm down little one, this is Louis Vuitton." He said faking a gasp. "Come on pups." He held her small hand in his as they made
their way towards the ice cream man. All the women here seemed to be jealous of Grayson and I, well I was getting used to the
attention that Grayson brought with him. He was a Collins after all, everyone thought his father was a murderer and they also
thought something was going on between us. We looked like the perfect family, Ashton playing soccer and Gray taking Ashley
for ice cream but this just wasn't it. This was Angelo's place but he didn't want to be apart of it, he never wanted it from the day
he told me that I should abort my babies.
Deep in my thoughts, i soon realised other parents were running to their sons. I stood up and made my way down the bleachers.
"What's wrong Ash ? your team scored didn't they ? I'm so proud of you baby." I hugged him and ruffled his hair quite a bit.
"Dad didn't come." Ashton said sadly.
"Uh-" before I could say anything, Grayson came with Ashley. "Hey Ronaldo, here's ice cream for the winning man." Gray
muttered with triumph.
"Thanks Uncle Gray but I like Messi. Call me Messi." He giggled taking the ice cream, for a while it seemed this had taken away
all the sadness he had been feeling.
"Ashley did you see how I kicked the ball like Neymar ?" Ashton said in an excited tone. Ashley was in Grayson's arms and
Ashton was walking beside me. He didn't want the other kids to tease him for being carried by his mommy. I felt like my baby
was growing so fast.
Ashley shook her head. " Mommy what is a Neymar?" She questioned her blue eyes glistening with innocence and her blonde
hair making her look even more adorable like an angel, my angel.

"Girls are dumb." Ashton muttered under his breath, i didn't want to scold him because I knew this was him taking out his anger
on his sister because his father didn't show up to his first match. He certainly has other priorities now and I shouldn't bother him.
*Flashback*
"I'm so jealous, Raina." Alma said rubbing her baby bump.
"Why? ain't you happy to be having a new born baby soon." I asked.
"Well Angelo and Yasmine are also having a baby.." she muttered under her breath and I almost chocked on my saliva.
"OH-" I gave her a small smile. Angelo and I had not held a proper conversation with each other for over two weeks so I wasn't
surprised. My worst fear was that my babies would easily be replaced because as much as Angelo loves the twins he doesn't
love me but imagine how much he will love Yasmine's child since he already loves her.
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to-" She pouted realising what she had done.
"No Alma, it's fine. I'm honestly happy for them nothing is more beautiful than having a child of your own trust me, I'm aware of
that. I might not be on good terms with them but I have nothing against their child, the twins potential brother or sister." I said in a
mutual tone.
"Wow atleast you are taking it lightly."
*End of Flashback*
Angelo has new priorities, i was well aware of that.
