Chapter 14 — Anna
Anna's POV
I heard the scream and looked at Abigail, who was quickly heading to her bedroom after Edwin.
I followed my heart thumping coldly beneath its pale skin, Had she really brought back the so-called golden prince?
My veins boiled with anger; she was supposed to kill him. Michael died because of her carelessness.
My husband, the father of my child. No one was worth his life.
I had to see this so-called prince who had changed ABIGAILS mind.
I walked into the bedroom and found Abigail and Edwin beside someone; Abigail was muttering something underneath her breath.
Edwin moved and I could see a mop of golden hair, his face was facing away from me, but even so I felt shiver roll up my spine.
Suddenly he turned to face me, and I gasped.
He was wide awake, his eyes held mine intently, light blue yet turned deep, his face was exquisite even though he was in pain, his eyelashes the perfect length, his skin, his aroma, he.. He was perfect.
"Anna,"
"Anna!"
The boy closed his eyes, and I was taken out of his trance. I flinched finally moving, goose bumps trailing up my skin.
"Anna!"
I turned back to Abigail, a panicked look on her face for the first time in a long time.
"Please!" she called out, "I can't heal him alone, he is too powerful, please help us!"
I stood there for a moment. Wouldn't it be better to just let him die?
My eyes shifted back to Abigail's pleading eyes.
What if that was my baby? Would I want someone to give up just because of her destiny?
As much as I hate to admit it, in Abigail's place, I probably would have done the same thing. Michael would have wanted me to do the same thing.
"Anna please!"
I moved over to Abigail, taking her outstretched hand, she breathed out as soon as I did, giving me a small smile.
My husband died today; I couldn't give up on someone else.
My husband died today; he wouldn't want me to let someone else die.
MY HUSBAND DIED TODAY, HE DIED BECAUSE OF THIS BOY HERE, I CANT LET HIM HAVE DIED IN VAIN.
I closed her hand tightly in mine nodding softly.
We began to chant the healing words. My power was in nature, but I could heal as well, it wasn't as powerful but with a great witch power, it helped a lot.
Soon the dragon boy's face began to relax, and strangely the lightening, thunder and rain began to calm down as well until there was complete silence.
I looked at Abigail in awe. She shrugged offering me a half smile, wiping the light sheet of sweat that had formed off her forehead.
The golden-haired boy opened his eyes, and I held my breath again.

"He is... Is... How is he so-"
"Beautiful?" Abigail finished. I nodded "He is a golden prince. His name is Azian, the closet thing we the supernatural have to a god in the twin realms. "
I stared at him as he yawned cutely, as if he had not been on the verge of life and death.
He sat up and Edwin hugged him tightly,
"Can't breathe," he said.
His voice was beautiful, calm but commanding.
Edwin didn't let go and Azian resulted to hugging what I assumed to be his best friend back.
A tear left my cheek at the beautiful sight and Abigail hugged me. After Azian and Edwin stopped hugging, Azian's Sea eyes focused on me. I looked up at him nervously, for a reason I didn't know. He was nothing but a mere child about five or six and yet I felt like I had to acknowledge him as something more.
"I'm Azian," he introduced sticking out his small hand for a shake.
I smiled at his cuteness, ""Anna, Abigail's friend, like I presume Edwin is to you?" I asked taking his small hand.
As soon as I touched his hand I felt a shiver go through me. I paused in surprise, looking back at Azian.
He smiled warmly, "She's a little uncomfortable, but she's okay now," he said smiling.
"Who? Who is she?" I asked
He looked down at my tummy, "she's very happy you're her mother, she says she hears you, and she misses him as well," Azian replied.
My child...misses her father. She'll never get to see him.
A tear fell down my cheek as Abigail held my hand tightly squeezing it.
"I... Might be able to help," Edwin said, looking between Abigail and I shyly.
Abigail looked at Edwin, "what? Help what?" she asked "I heard you saying, h-he was dead, Michael, I can... I can help, "he began.
"How can you help?" I asked curiously my heart thumping.
"I'm a Liche dragon, I can raise people from the dead."
I held my breath as I looked at Abigail questionably was this real?
"Are you sure you can do it?" Abigail asked.
"It depends," He explained, "I have to know his full name, and when he died, if 22 hours have already passed, I can't bring him back, if I do, he will just be an undead doing my will," he explained. Abigail paused looking back at me.
My fists were clenched.
