Awakening The Unknown

Chapter Unknown 06

KASSIDY

__________

"Did you guys hear that, or am I going insane?” Anais laughed with uncertainty. I looked at her face through the bay window of the living room. Her used to be bouncy coiled locks were slightly dull and frizzy. Her lighter cinnamon brown eyes saddened and face puffy from the tears she shed over me.

The rest looked the same way.

My parents had heavy bags under their eyes and looked over worked and stressed.

My eyes slide over to look at my twin. He looked worse than everyone else.

With me being his twin and all, I couldn’t even comprehend the hurt he felt, let alone imagine it.

Anais’ eyes glanced at the window, she looked back to my parents but then looked back at me. She gasped and ran out of the house.

Bewildered brown orbs connecting swirling galaxy orbs.

“Is it really you?” She gasped. My parents and Kash followed out behind her.

I nodded my head, with a lone tear sliding down my face.

Next thing I knew, she barrels over to me, arms wide open and crashed into my body with all her weight.

“I swear to God, if your a shifter pretending to be her...I will kill you with my bare hands.” She seethed as she swore.

“And if your really Kassi, where in the fuck were you?” She yelled and slapped the side of my head, still with her laying on top of me in the yard.

I start babbling like a baby and said, “Yes! Yes, Anais, it’s me! I’m so sorry I couldn’t come back sooner, but I needed to keep you guys safe from me!” I all but cried into the crook of her neck.

It was truth.

Who knows what I could do.

She looked down at me and searched my face for any injuries. A wave of relief washed over her. Looking at her now, I noticed the turquoise aura around her.

Anais finally got off me. Then, helped me up and grabbed me in tight gripped hug. “I have a few hundred questions to ask if you’re really my Kassi or not, so be prepared.” A flash of golden waves passed my eye.

“First question,” Kassandra interrupted. “Why can’t I feel the presence of your wolf anymore?”

Two Hours Later. . .

After getting over with the questions from Anais and the others, I was greeted with shitload of food. My mom fed me like no tomorrow, not that I’m complaining or anything. Mom and Dad had held me in their arms and wouldn’t let go of me.

Who could blame them?

My Dad tried to kill me at first, since he didn’t sense his pup.

But I told him all about Solanis and our training.

I talked to, Kash, and he was ecstatic with joy to see me again.

My family is everything to me, and so are my friends.

But I did miss hearing Jana’s voice though...

With each day that brought me here, Jana’s power seeped further into my being. My powers hummed in the depths of my body like nothing before. She was becoming me, and I her.

I was in my old bedroom.

Everything was how I left it.

Same plush bed with galaxy themed blankets and sheets.

In all reality, I should’ve seen this coming, since I’m just fascinated with everything that has to do with space.

My dark violet walls, were covered with band posters and fairy lights highlighting my Polaroid pictures with my family and friends.

A soft knock on my door pulled me out of my reminiscing thoughts.

“Kassi, how are you doing?” Jordan’s soft voice filled my room. Her pale, blonde locks swished around as she advanced towards my bed. “Its been hell without you here, you know that right?” She whispered softly.

“It’s been hell without you guys too, you know that right?” I chuckled at my attempt to lighten the mood in here.

She looked like she was on the verge of tears. I looked at the deep blue aura she was giving off, she was depressed.

The fact that I was the cause makes me want to jump onto her and never let go.

“I really missed you Kassidy, I really missed you so much. Every night I prayed to the Moon Goddess to send you back, and I-I thought I was never doing to see you again!” She cried and threw her arms around my torso and buried her head into my neck.

I wrapped my arms around her in a consoling way and reluctantly pulled back.

I grabbed her face in my hands and held her chubby cheeks in my hands and said, “I’m not going anywhere alright. Not for a long ass time, okay?” I reassured her.

Jordan’s dark brown eyes bore into my galaxy-like eyes, and her body visibly relaxed.

Well that was weird...

“Kassidy? What the heck was that? Is that another one of your abilities, compulsion? I thought that was a vampire thing!” Jordan exasperated loudly.

In all honesty, that surprised me too.

Can I do that, compel people.

An evil smirk tugged at my lips, and an sinfully bad idea popped into my head.

“I’ll be right back Jordan.” And exit my room and down the hall to Kash’s room.

I knocked on his door and heard a faint ‘come in’, and swung open the door. I ran up to him and pounced on him, wrapping one arm around his neck, and the other clenched into a fist and began to give him a noogie.

“Kassidy, get your fat ass off of me! You are so damn lucky you just rose from the dead!” Kash threatened me. I push him away from me.

I watch as he pushed off imaginary dust from his body and looked at him heated with anger, embarrassment, and happiness?

I get why he was angry though, I didn’t immediately come home. Plus, I did just give him a noogie. I took another look at him and noticed that his face was stone.

He had an evil glint in his eyes ,and scratched the back of head.

“I really didn’t want to do this Kassi, but you gave me no choice.” His face looked blank, but his eyes said it all.

All the blood drained from my face as he pulled out his phone, just typing away.

“Don’t you dare!Kash, I will never forgive you if you contact him!” I jumped on him and tackle him to the ground. Dropping his phone to the ground.

Message not sending to him.

Forgetting about my abilities, momentarily, I hopped off him in an instant. He held his lower chest and heaved up and down in pain.

“Oh my gosh, Kash! Are you okay?” I panicked.

Maybe I shouldn’t roughhouse for a while.

I helped him up and put him on his black blankets and checked his aura. It was golden with flickers of blue indicating he was actually hurt, but not much. I think I just saved my social life.

Let me explain...

His name is Wren.

Wrenjamin McAllistair.

And his equally beautiful brother Benjamin McAllistair, are what people always gush over.

I never understood personality wise, but they really are gorgeous.

Wrecking cars, destroying property, having bad pack records for violent behaviors, and for anything else.

Deep chestnut hair, perfect creamy skin, a sculpted by they gods jawline and body. Mesmerizing obsidian green eyes that would put the most beautiful forest to shame.

Those two are the perfect duo.

Just thinking about Wren sends a heavenly warm breeze through my body.

Then something else hits me.

Hard.

My body feels like it’s in between plains again, shifting from the universe to Earth again. My eyes are looking through a dimmed lens.

Then, I see him, standing in his bathroom mirror looking at himself. His eyes look deep into his reflection , it feels like he’s looking back at me.

His next words startle my once dead being.

“Hey Kassi, nice to know you’re back now.” He finishes with his signature pearly white smile that leaves every girl’s panties moist. Wren turns around, his eyes a new color than before looking right into mine.

Galaxy sea green eyes. . .
