Chapter 91
Chapter 91
Nikolay:
“You were taken for a fool in public, and you just went along with it.” I said, mocking Ashley. Her eyes met mine as she teared up. And I shook my head, scoffing at her. The struggle that I was having with her was starting to grow annoying.
“I am your woman and rather than at least thinking of supporting me…”
“Supporting what? A failure excuse of a woman? You were literally made a fool out of and you seem to not understand that at all. Not only that, but rather than using your fucking brain, you chose to buy a crystal chandelier, one that was always in MY house.” I said, and Ashley looked away from me. Her hands shook and she clenched then unclenched her fists, taking a deep breath as she did.

“I didn’t use your money to spend it. Your card hasn’t been touched…”
“Because the money that is in your card is not one that I transfer to you on a monthly basis, isn’t it?” I asked, stopping her. She took a step back, taken back by my statement, and I shook my head at her. “This is the last time you make a fool out of me, do you fucking understand?”
“I was trying to do something. I wanted to prove to the women that I belonged. They all looked at me as if I was some pawn, and I didn’t like it. I wanted to fit in, and I wanted them to see me as one of them. I didn’t want to be overshadowed by your ex. You cannot blame me, Nikolay.” She said, and I scoffed. I had to force myself to control my words as not to hurt her more than she already was. The woman not only made a fool out of herself, but me as well, and I knew that it was something that I couldn’t accept.
“You do not,” I said, making her frown. “And you are never going to be one of them, Ashley. These women were born into wealth. They know a diamond when they see one and it is impossible for them to miss a crystal’s cut for a diamond one. They do not look at chandeliers to prove a point, and if they are buying, it is into wealth. You were buying into greed and proving a point. Neither one of them needs to prove a point. And that is something that you saw.”
“Nikolay, I didn’t mean to…”
“This is the last time that you are going somewhere, in public, without me as an escort. If you are going to represent me, then you are going to go with me. But that will only happen after Katerina and I get our divorce. Before then, you are going to learn how to be a WOMAN instead of the bullshit that you are right now. And trust

me when I say, I am not going to accept anything else from you, do you understand me? Katerina is not going to make a fool out of me, and you are not going to use my money, even if it is, in your mind, in your account, it is my money. The day that I wish to block your account, you are left with nothing.” I said, and the woman looked down at her feet. “Keep that in mind whenever you want to play such a game.”
I walked toward the kids room, knowing that they were going to have to see their mother. Katerina was playing against me, and I knew that I was the one who threw gasoline on the fire. She was reacting with anger, and I was going to have to shut that anger off. The one way to do so was use her children. She wasn’t going to fight against me when they were on the front line.
“Are you ready?” I asked the kids. Both nodded, and I smiled, carrying Bianca as I took Andrew’s hand. Their maid followed close behind. She was going to be by their side, not that they would need her. Katerina was rarely ever the type to leave the kids with a maid.
I walked toward the door, and Ashley frowned.
“Where are you going?” She asked, and I put Bianca down. The kids wouldn’t even look at her. I had to admit, I expected this to be easier. But the woman turned out to be more of a failure when it came to children. It was amazing to me how much I was fooled by her as a person.
I put them down and nodded at the maid to take them to the car. The driver was already waiting for them, and the last thing that I wanted or needed was for them to hear more arguments between us.
“I am going to take the kids to see their mother. This is going to be the ONLY way for me to control the shit that you played, and I think that you are not going to be stupid enough to try and say anything against it.” I said, and her eyes widened.
“Nikolay, you are not going to see the woman. She just played me and you are going to go to her? You really have no value for me?” She asked, and I shook my head. She should have thought of that before she played stupid.
And I knew that she saw and understood it.
“I think that it would be best for me to leave you alone to think for a while.” I said, making her eyes widen in
surprise. “It might wake you enough to realize that the shit that you’re doing is not one that I aim to let go of whenever you try to play innocent. And today is not one that I aim to let go of.”
“Had it been her…?”
“She wouldn’t have made the same mistake to begin with.” I said, stopping her. “As I believe that you seemed to have realized; she is the one holding the auction in the first place. The woman knows what she is doing inside

out, and when she does not, she learns.”
“Are you defending her against me now?”

“Take it as you may. We will discuss matters when I am home.” I said, making her frown. “I’ll see about this divorce, and let’s hope that after this stunt that you played tonight, that we manage a mutual agreement to ensure that we don’t end up losing what we got so far. Otherwise, the only thing that you are going to have is this chandelier that you were proud of…”
